Dominique's on MagazineThe food was excellent. OurThe food was excellent. Our main server was very good but the back waiter poured our bottled water over ice?
The dishes were truly market fresh and the vegetables were outstanding! The decor is sleek and modern and quite comfortable.
Loved the wine list-unusual in a good way with what seemed like smaller production hand picked wines. We would have liked to see a good seasonal fruit based baked dessert on the menu- the desserts were slanted toward primarily "creamy" textures.
We will most certainly be back, again and again.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat mealEverything was great food wise but the service needs a little fine tuning. The waiter brought out the wrong app and after we told he he brought the right one but he still charged us for all of them. This was also the case with a drink he sent over for the kids that wasn't ordered and yet again was on the bill.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMperfecthave nothing to say except do not miss this restaurant...one of the best in nola!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a delight! We had a memorableWhat a delight! We had a memorable meal at Dominique's. The scallops with papardelle were especially divine. I'm so glad we found Dominique's while we were visiting New Orleans. It is one of the best meals we have ever had here - and there's a lot of competition in this town! The only small thing I would mention is that, like most businesses in the south, the air conditioning is set too cold, so bring a sweater.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMDominique's on Magazine livedDominique's on Magazine lived up to every expectation I had. The food was beyond perfection. The royal red shrimp cerviche was amazing and the duck pate was delicious. Our entrees in addition were fabulous. The atmosphere was also beautiful. From the moment you enter, you are transported to another world. They pay attention to every detail. The restaurant even offers their own off street parking. We are local and go to dinner a lot. Whether you are having an intimate dinner for two or have a group of people- this is the perfect place.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMUnexpectedly wonderful meal.Unexpectedly wonderful meal. We had a group of 4, and were seated outdoors on a balmy night in New Orleans. The courtyard was delightful, although slightly marred by some outdoor type furniture shoved against a wall. The server was wonderful, but the service was slow in terms of getting waited on initially, and all-over pace of the evening -- although we were happy just being there. The food was spectacular. We were disappointed that the soft shell crab special announced by our server was not available after two of us ordered it. This place is a real find, our food was superb, and we will go back the next chance we get.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything about Dominique'sEverything about Dominique's on Magazine was terrific except the noise inside. Sound bounced off all those hard surfaces, creating a din that made normal conversation impossible. My date and I were able to escape the clamor by dining outside in the lovely patio, but that won't be feasible in New Orleans' sultry summers. I hope the owners have fixed the noise problem by then.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful new spot!I just moved into the neighborhood and decided to try out Dominique's new restaurant and I'm glad we did! We started with the louisiana oysters, duck pate and sweetbreads, which all were delicious! For our entrees we chose the maple leaf duck breast, scallops and spaghetti and meatballs. The Spaghetti and meatballs were the favorite at the table. At first I was skeptical of ordering it but I'm glad I did! For dessert we ordered the Almond Nougatine and Banana Creme Tartlette, which were both great endings to a fabulous dinner. We have already made plans with other friends to attend the restaurant again. Enjoy New Orleans!!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMService and food were excellent.Service and food were excellent. Portion size was great. The restaurant is sleek and modern. Noise level can be loud when the room is full. Enjoyed the whimsical cotton candy which was served after our meal.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOnly open 5 weeks, but alreadyOnly open 5 weeks, but already one of the top restaurants in the city. The ambiance is great and the staff is vell versed on the menu. The spaghetti and meatballs are done with a veal reduction and are fantastic. The black drum was also fantastic. I had the cassoulet made with lamb and fresh lima beans that was incredible. Can't wait to go back.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant is beautifulThe restaurant is beautiful inside and out! They have an amazing outdoor courtyard; just recommended it during cooler weather. The food is delicious, creative and reasonably priced.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMDominique's has opened anotherDominique's has opened another amazing restaurant. Everything was perfect!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experience. WeWonderful experience. Will return.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWish the menu was more extensiveWish the menu was more extensive and included more non-seafood choices and heartier salads, but excellent nonetheless3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding-Contemporary French GemA diversion from most New Orleans restaurants... feels very Miami. Fantastic contemporary art on the walls, vertical gardens and a great outdoor lounge. The lobster salad was the most memorable, and all the food was excellent (as is always true for Chef Dominique). Thoughtful and unique cocktail menu, and a good and reasonable wine list. We cannot wait for the chef's table upstairs to open!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is extremely wellThe food is extremely well executed, flavors complimentary, plating visually beautiful, the decor is contemporary, engaging and warm. I love it and have recommended to others.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food & ambiance!Chef Dominique is an extremely talented chef. The food was wonderful! My boyfriend had the coulette and said it was the best piece of steak he has ever had. He started with the shrimp civiche, which was served with torilla chips. The shrimp was tangy and refreshing. We both declared we could eat 3 or 4 more servings of that alone! Certainly something you MUST order if you are a fan of civiche. I had a delicious duck and cauliflower soup to start and then the drum fish with lima beans. Both dishes were executed magnificently. The flavors melded beautifully and the fish was cooked to perfection as was my boyfriend's coulette. The prices are very affordable for the quality being served and the wine list reflects the same philosophy.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food. Service aExcellent food. Service a little slow, but probably working out the kinks. Seemed to be a new in-place.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMJust opened, great decor andJust opened, great decor and comfortable, waiters attentive and they overheard my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and at the end of dinner they brought us a complimentary dessert. Stay tuned -- they are beginning to serve brunch on Sundays and their outdoor courtyard dining looks like a great area to dine as well.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent cocktails list online,Excellent cocktails list online, disappointed not on menu. Very good Manhattan, Blood & Sand a little sweet. Sweetbreads appetizer to die for, ceviche also excellent. Wife's diver scallops excellent, my lamb very good, though suffering from the lamb syndrome (a lot of bones and not so much meat. Good wine selection. Goat cheese cake lagged a little, almond Nougatine was excellent.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
