  • "My boyfriend and I had dinner here for our anniversary. Being a fan of Ocean Club, I could tell right away that it was very similar. The food was very good, but our service was even better. Our waiter let us know that there was a smaller portion of our side available (glad we got the smaller portion!) and also gave us our dessert for free since it was our first time in! Now that is excellent customer service! We will definitely be back!"

  • "The restaurant is beautiful, and the service was good - but very cold. I believe that you can be professional and efficient without being cold or snobby. I just did not feel comfortable here. The steak that was ordered medium-rare was delicious, but the steak ordered well done was very tough and dry. I know well done is hard, but A LOT of restaurants can get a steak well done that still has moisture and flavor. No one at the table cared for the macaroni and cheese - it had a weird flavor. The mashed potatoes and cream corn were excellent. The crème brulee and butter cake were out of this world. I might go back and try it again - but there are so many other steak houses where I feel welcome and "warm and fuzzy" :)"

  • "We went back to Dominick's to celebrate my new job and loved EVERY second of it. I ventured off of my normal Steak and Lobster routine and went for the Salmon Oscar...to DIE for!!!! The guys enjoyed the Steak and Lobster and we all agreed it's the best meal we've had in the valley. Our server was such a great guy and we felt really special...Even a follow-up phone call a couple days later to make sure our experience was great...you just don't get this kind of customer service mixed with fantastic food these days. GO THERE NOW!"

My fiancé had the bone-in filet which melted in your mouth and I had the veal porterhouse, on recommendation of our server, and it was absolutely delicious. To top of our perfect night, we were treated to a warm buttercake! This was our first time and most certainly won't be our last!"

  • "Went to Dominick's for my Bday and it was dissapointing! The service was poor, there're were a couple of large parties that the server spent all her time on. At one point we couldn't find her at all for 20 min. She told us how wonderful the Akaskan Halibut was and how it just came in so my we ordered it. Then she came back and said they were out of it (7 pm)! Mushrooms were super salty, crab legs delicious but they should be for 69.84! No music for summer."

  • "Overall good experience on wife's birthday. Food was very good. But the place is LOUD--hard to talk and sometimes even to hear the waiter over the ambient noise. The "side dishes" were very tasty, but the portions are huge. This works if you have 4 at the table, but far too much for 2 people."

  • "Celebrated my wife's birthday with my family. The steaks were the best we had to date this year. You could almost cut them with your fork. The pork chop was delicious. The veal chop was tasty but a slightly overdone. The vegetable sides were generous and well prepared. Dessert was a real treat."

  • "My wife, a friend, and I all went to Dominicks the other night. As always, the steaks, August gratin, and mac n cheese were the best we've ever had. However, our server seemed busy with two other larger tables. We had an expensive tab, with a bottle of wine and three of their top steaks, but another server had to come take our original wine order, and then our food order, and then pour our wine, and then refill our wine. Our server simply stopped by halfway through our meal and then dropped off the check at the end. We've been there in the past and always had impeccable service. Just an off night most likely. But for the cost, off nights should not occur at such a classy and respectable establishment."

We frequent other steakhouses in the area like Ben & Jacks, Flemings, Mortons and Capital Grill, but we wanted to try something new. We were not disappointed. The server was friendly and well educated on the menu and wine list. I would have to say that my bone-in ribeye I had was the BEST I have ever had anywhere. My wife had the short rib, it was fall off the bone tender. The wine list was amazing with choices for any budget. We will certainly be back to Dominick's again."

  • "During a Memorial Day weekend trip to Arizona, we had an excellent first dining experience at Dominick's Steakhouse in Scottsdale. Our family of five includes a serious steak-lover and a vegetarian - the other three are quite flexible. Absolutely everyone enjoyed their meals and beverages which were very capably managed by our excellent waiter, Drew. We dined on the third floor and were pleased to see upon arrival that the tables were not right "on top of each other" allowing us some privacy. The experience only got better when the roof over the shallow pool opened as sunset approached. How often does that happen during a fine dining experience? Someone really got that right in the planning stages - a memorable extra special touch."

  • "I finally got to sit upstairs by the pool! It was a birthday celebration for a beautiful woman. It is a perfect place for mood of romance although since it is summer it is warm upstairs. I have sat downstairs and usually it is busy and loud. I don't know how we get to dessert but you have to get the butter cake!! I am a big ribeye fan so this is the best place to have one!! Starter fried calamari, tiger shrimp cocktail, and spinach salad with warm bacon dressing. Meal bone in ribeye med rare with sides loaded mashed potatoes, fries, sautéed mushrooms, and brussel sprouts with bacon. Desert butter cake of course!! Drink of the night old fashioned with crown royal! Yum yum yum"

Table tucked in a corner against the wait staff service station; we got to listen to all the busboys plans for after work and have my chair bumped constantly by wait staff retrieving water and utensils. Bad#2. Food:500 degree plates should include a splatter screen to prevent the grease from the fatty meat spraying the guests. The Chilean Sea Bass looked like Styrofoam and had no flavor, seasoning or appeal. The food quality is poor the presentation weak and overall the meal was poor. The only saving grace was the double poor martinis. So many better places to go in Scottsdale!! "

They were there at the right time (but not too much), and always made sure we had what we wanted. The wine list is abundant. The by-the glass wine prices look high, but the pour size is much more generous than the average 5 oz pours that you get in most restaurants. Very nice experience. "

  • "I always make comparisons of restaurants like this to Donovan's & Maestro's..for what I spent, over $700, the service was poor, took the food a long time to come out, when it did arrive, one of the sides was missing...my wife had to ask for more water...the music was way too loud, everyone in the place was trying to talk over it thus making it louder, the steak was great"

  • "We went to Dominick's to celebrate both of our birthdays and we were quite impressed! Very fine dining but not pretentious like some other steak restaurants in Scottsdale. We loved the music selection that played in the background-contemporary and lively and not the old peoples music played at other places. Beautiful restaurant. We did not know about the upstairs "poolside" seating until after dinner- next time we will request upstairs! Food was excellent and very generous portions. Pricey but well with it!!"

My steak was seasoned ok, but her's was bland as was the garlic spinach. While the service was great & we were not charged for her ribeye we will not return due to the food quality in comparison to the price. "

  • "We ate here 2 days in a row (Sunday and Monday). The first time was phenomenal. Food was cooked perfectly an the service was excellent. The only negative was sticker shock for a suggested stone crab appetizer not on the menu. I expected the price to be in line with the other appetizers ($15-20) but it was $70, which was more than any of our entrees. The second time left much to be desired except the service which was still excellent. I ordered the bone in veal medium rare and was advised the chef suggested medium to let it break down so I followed suggestion. Wish I had not as it was overdone and very salty. We also got the lobster mac which was a huge disappointment. When half is left over with 5 large guys, you know it is not good."
