It's one of our long-time regular places, and we go every 4 to six weeks, often with company. The experience starts when you're greeted by genuinely pleasant hostesses in the windowless dining room. Stop at the inside bar and the bartenders are always great. Proceed to the fabled patio with fireplaces lit, food, service and a charming manager strolling the floor, all amidst a setting that both open and cozy.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOld school Italian fare soOld school Italian fare so a little richer in taste (ie butter). Outdoor covered patio is large and comfy. Love the fireplace! The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. Prices are a little steep and everything is a la carte which pushes the price up further. The first time I had the Chicken Piccata which was not very notable but my appetizer was great but i tasted everyone else's dishes and they were all delicious. The second time I had the Rigatoni with Crispy Eggplant and it was delicious. The outside patio is cozy with a fireplace and heating lamps so you can enjoy it year round. The service is always great and the food delicious! I highly recommend the frisee salad or the Italian wedding soup to start. And, definitely leave room for the peanut butter/chocolate chunk cookie in a skillet to finish!!
