    Beginning on 6-1-14, étoile The Restaurant at Domaine Chandon requests a credit card number to hold a reservation for dinner. The cancellation policy goes into effect 24 hours prior to reservation date and time. If the cancellation is made after that point, the charge is $50 per person. Details available upon request.

An extraordinary setting, innovative regional California cuisine with a French influence, and seamless service combine to create the ultimate food and wine experience.

At étoile, Chef Perry Hoffman marries classic, French-influenced technique with contemporary culinary innovation and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Hoffman works closely with Chandon winemakers to explore the interplay between wine and food, enhancing the experience of both.

Guests may dine a la carte, or explore the ultimate food and wine pairing experience through Chef Hoffman's tasting menus at lunch and dinner.

The restaurant features a Wine Spectator "Best of" Award Wine list and received a Michelin star in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Michelin Guide after being recommended in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

A short stroll over a bridge that crosses a pond and up through the lush foliage and sprawling lawns to restaurant Etoile. Tables are spaced out, conversation can be heard and walls of glass that bring the outside in are spectacular. We chose the 4 course tasting menu that includes two amuse bouche (your selection for $98). If desired, an additional $70 for wine pairings. Some entrees were Scallops, Bass, Veal and Duck Breast * The Chef's Tasting menu $125 * A la carte is also an option * Fantastic flavors, great wait staff, presentation & pacing made for a true experience."

We didn't realize that the dinner menu is only a four or six course chef's tasting menu so we were surprised once we were seated in the lovely dining room. We had just come from a superb concert and did not feel like searching for another place to eat, but we really weren't ready for a three hour dinner either. Laziness and the beauty of the location prevailed, and we decided to stay and simply enjoy the evening. Every plate was an masterful art work; every morsel of our four course dinner was exceptional. Each wine paired perfectly to our food. All of our servers were professional in every way, as one would expect. Sometimes it is very nice to find an eating establishment where it all works!"

  • "We were looking for a great restaurant in Yountville (other than The French Laundry) and decided to try Etoile. It was an excellent meal and well worth the money. In fact, because we are members of Domaine Chandon's wine club, it was a bit of a bargain. We got 20% off the meal, a free glass of sparkling wine, and a discount on their wines. Although they are a winery, their wine list is extensive and includes some fantastic wines. I had a glass of Grgich Hills Zinfandel that was superb, as was the Chandon Cabernet Sauvignon. The service was exceptional. Our server struck a great balance between being attentive and not hovering. Overall, I thought it was a great meal, great service, and a beautiful restaurant. Hard to complain about that."

  • "Food was good but overdone with the chichi. Too contrived for my taste. But fundamentally well prepared and the ingredients were fresh and first rate. Just way too much going on on the plate. Service not up to standard for a Michelin Star restaurant. Not particularly polished. No supervision or visible managemeent. Hostess doubled as seater. Had to wait at the desk for a while before she appeared from the terrace. Over priced. We are locals and visit Bouchon, Don Giovanni's and others frequently and pay almost half. Not a great value."

  • "OMG!! Great on so many levels. Let's just start with desert which was a watermelon sorbet. Oh, this is not what you expect--the presentation, texture and sorbet flavor was delicious, and it came with a foam of Thailand Curry. The appetizer was a melon soup with scallops and tiny melons among other unknown ingredients . The presentation and the taste transported you to another world. I had the halibut entree which was outstanding in taste and presentation. My dining partner had the duck-confit entre which was a little salty but still delicious. On another visit, he would chose differently. Still this did not detract from the fact that this chef knows exactly what he is doing. Dining here is experiencing great art."

While the food was top- notch, the chef was limited to Chandon offerings, which included two great sparklers, and some mediocre still wine, with the exception of the Sauvignon Blanc . For $250, we felt we were getting an overpriced Chandon wine tasting. The overall wine list contained over 500 wines, so why the limitation on the pairings? The food in the 6 course tasting was amazing and represented an excellent variety of the chef's talent. So I highly recommend the restaurant, just order wine off the list and forego the pairings."

  • "The experience begins when you enter the Domaine Chandon property and ends when you leave the property. The setting is fabulous. Staff is energetic, classy, and efficient. Our table for four had an excellent experience. The food is as beautiful to look at as it is to eat. Duck Pate Salad is amazing. The entree of Kurobuta Pork loin was the best I have ever had. The Duck, the Lamb, and the Scallops were also excellent. We had the Four Course Chef's Sampler. Next time we will add the wine sampler with the meal."

I would like to thank Suzanne who looked after each and every detail of our meal. The wine list is interactive, i enjoyed reading about the wines via iPad. Consider seating outdoors if you visit in the summer, gorgeous grounds and so serene. My favorite course was the scallop, beautifully presented and so delicious. Dessert did not disappoint, i had the lava cake and enjoyed every bite."

  • "Having done the Reserve tasting, we headed to Etoile for lunch & were seated on the patio on a perfect sunny but breezy Sunday. We chose to have the lunch tasting menu which I paired with the wine tasting (my husband went for a glass as he was driving). The whole meal was amazing. Every dish was beautiful in its presentation, & a taste sensation. Lobster, scallops, pork, beef and an apricot dessert, with three amuse bouche, everything in perfect harmony. We were so impressed we considered booking again for dinner but sadly they were closed Tuesday night which was the only night we still had open during our trip. I would certainly dine here again, & would recommend it to anyone, whether for a special occasion or just to spoil yourself!"

  • "I took my wife to Chandon for lunch on Fathers Day. If you eat at the Etoile Restaurant and the weather is nice I would highly recommend sitting outside. The food is excellent and the service impeccable. We started with the Charcuterie platter which has prosciutto di parma · beef tartare · soppressata · picante · coppa · farmer's cheese. It was enough to split between 4 people. We each had a different entree and each one was delicious. I would highly recommend."
