Service was outstanding, knowledgable staff, fabtastic view and very comfortable outdoor dining with a fantastic view. They accommodated a group of 5 after a last minute change from what was to be a table for 2 only an hour previously, and gave us a big table outside! It was stupendous and I can't wait to return.

After the Domaine Chandon tour and tasting we had lunch at Etoile. It was fantastic. We had the tasting menu (with the wine pairing) and ate on the patio. The experience was a nice leisurely meal in a beautiful setting. Our server let us know when we ordered the tasting menu that it takes 2-2 1/2 hours which ended up being a very enjoyable pace. Not only was the food OUTSTANDING, the whole experience was; the service, the setting, the colors on the plate, the plates themselves which fit each different course. Each course was an artistic blend of flavors. I highly recommend Etoile!!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here with a 6-course dinner. It was beautiful, romantic, and the food was incredible! We both believe the scallops were the best we've ever eaten. The staff was engaging and personable, and they did an excellent job pairing the wines. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to enjoy a fabulous evening with someone special.

Ordered the Chef's 6 course menu. Each item was perfection. No sense going into detail for each one. Just read the menu, visualize and then be surprised. The items will exceed your expectations. Service was impeccable. The servers described each course aptly. Found a wine by the glass that would not break the bank. My wife's birthday is in September and look forward to returning.

It was our first time and we made reservations at Etoile Restaurant at Domaine Chandon for lunch for a group of five. We picked Etoile as it was one of the places recommended by the chef of French Laundry. We loved it. I ordered a tomato salad that had some kind of home made mozzarella cheese, so fresh, so delicious. My main dish was the lamb out of the lunch menu and it was outstanding. Portions are enough, not too small, not large. We sat outside and the waiters were so nice setting up umbrellas to be sure we were in the shade. I had one of their wines the Pinot Noir and it went so well with the lamb. My friends loved the sparkling wine they had with their food. I will go back every time I visit Napa. Great service, ambience & food!!!

I promised my mother lunch at Domain Chandon's Etiole restaurant for her birthday. The staff were extremely courteous, professional and friendly. We go there every August. This year the menu wasn't as appealing as it has been, portions are tiny and I don't remember them that way. We were seated outside as I requested, but over where we did not have the nice view and it was quite dark. We had to ask the waiter to stop by for more wine and again at the end. For the expensive prices, we all decided to try a different place next summer when we visit the Wine Country.

My adult daughter and I were happily enjoying our appetizers served by a pleasant, attentive staff, when a group of 6 or 7 women were seated next to us. There appeared to be some significant issues between them and they proceeded to exit and enter the dining room many times through doors immediately next to our table which were supposed to be kept closed. The Maitre d' noticed our discomfort and assured us the staff would take care of the problem. In fairness, they did stop using the doors; however, evidently their issues remained and my daughter and I could not hear each other and were not offered another table elsewhere. In addition, the main course selections were somewhat limited on the four-course fixed price menu.

I chose Etiole after reading countless review on Open Table (and other sites). My husband is very picky about his restaurants and given that this was the final stop on our Napa adventure, we had high expectations. We were in Napa with a group of grad school friends celebrating my husbands 41st birthday. I knew the restaurant had to be fit for foodies, have a great wine list, and be able to host an intimate party of 9. Etiole did not disappoint. We did both the 4 and 6 course tasting at our table. Everyone loved their dishes. The service was on point and discreet. I highly recommend Etoile for any time you want an amazing evening.

Beautiful place, great food, excellent service. Food was delicious, had great presentation, serviced at a normal pace for this class of restaurant. Staff was friendly, provided information about the food. My wife chose to ear a la cart and I took their tasting menu. Yes, it is pricy - similar to all the other restaurants in the area, but brace for memorable experience.

We had a party of seven celebrating birthdays at Etoile. It was the longest and best meal I've ever had. A party that large requires assembling an armada of waiters to bring out each of the six dishes on the chef's tasting menu. We ordered wine separately and did not take the wine pairing option. We were almost unanimous that the food and service could not have been better. The one hold out was my 9-year-old granddaughter, who found the cheese on her sandwich and pasta too exotic.

A party of seven had lunch on a Saturday afternoon, celebrating a special occasion. I wish we had been offered an outside table, as the restaurant was too air-conditioned for our lightweight summer attire. Also, the barrel-vaulted ceiling, while attractive, caused an extremely disturbing echo to the one member of our party who was seated in the "sweet spot" directly under the center. Our table was large enough that we could move our chairs around to get her out from underneath the center, though it would have been nice, when she originally complained to our waiter, if he had suggested this instead of simply acknowledging the problem. Other than that minor complaint, the service was great, and the food was terrific.

Domaine Chandon Winery is located in a stunning setting, from the drive in past their vineyards and olive trees, through the massive Oaks to find plentiful parking. A short stroll over a bridge that crosses a pond and up through the lush foliage and sprawling lawns to restaurant Etoile. Tables are spaced out, conversation can be heard and walls of glass that bring the outside in are spectacular. We chose the 4 course tasting menu that includes two amuse bouche (your selection for $98). If desired, an additional $70 for wine pairings. Some entrees were Scallops, Bass, Veal and Duck Breast * The Chef's Tasting menu $125 * A la carte is also an option * Fantastic flavors, great wait staff, presentation & pacing made for a true experience.

When I reserved, I should have checked the menu. We didn't realize that the dinner menu is only a four or six course chef's tasting menu so we were surprised once we were seated in the lovely dining room. We had just come from a superb concert and did not feel like searching for another place to eat, but we really weren't ready for a three hour dinner either. Laziness and the beauty of the location prevailed, and we decided to stay and simply enjoy the evening. Every plate was an masterful art work; every morsel of our four course dinner was exceptional. Each wine paired perfectly to our food. All of our servers were professional in every way, as one would expect. Sometimes it is very nice to find an eating establishment where it all works!

We were looking for a great restaurant in Yountville (other than The French Laundry) and decided to try Etoile. It was an excellent meal and well worth the money. In fact, because we are members of Domaine Chandon's wine club, it was a bit of a bargain. We got 20% off the meal, a free glass of sparkling wine, and a discount on their wines. Although they are a winery, their wine list is extensive and includes some fantastic wines. I had a glass of Grgich Hills Zinfandel that was superb, as was the Chandon Cabernet Sauvignon. The service was exceptional. Our server struck a great balance between being attentive and not hovering. Overall, I thought it was a great meal, great service, and a beautiful restaurant. Hard to complain about that.
