"The food and service was excellent. Portions are on the small side but by the time the meal was completed we were properly full. Only issue that was less than pleasant was noise from table next to use. Not the restaurant's fault but was annoying all the same."

"Had been here for lunch several years back and found last night's dinner to be a real disappointment. Setting is pretty enough, though the restaurant was less than 30% full on a Wednesday night. Amuse of rabbit terrine was lacking in flavor, first courses of
crab, escargot and salad were all bland. Hallibut, fettucine, scallop courses were the highlight-flavorful and well balanced.

Pork and Veal tenderloin entrees were both severely lacking in flavor. Asked for salt/pepper to season, and even then told our server how disappointed we were by the meat courses. No adjustment to the bill although we sent back plates w most of the food remaining. Might reconsider in the future, but we've had much better meals elsewhere at 1/2 the pr"

"We had the four course tasting menu. My crab appetizer was scrumptious, and my husband adored his tuna. We both had the diver scallops - delicious. Then I had the duck for a main course and my husband had the lobster and veal. Bothbwere outstanding. For dessert he had creme brûlée, and I had a marvelously delicate Meyer lemon mousse. The wine list is exceptional, with many, many choices by the glass, especially thoughtful as so many had to make a drive back home or to a not-so-near hotel."

"We chose to dine at Etoile because we wanted the entire experience....wine tasting, scenic, atmosphere and nice menu. We are returning for a limo bus birthday excursion in late May as well. We are going to have wine tasting, wine tour and food on the patio for my daughter's 21st birthday....Looking very forward to it!"

"Etoile was the recommendation of a client/friend who visits Napa Valley regularly, and it will definitely be a recommendation of mine to anyone visiting the valley. We lunched on a beautiful but cool sunny day, and the setting was very conducive to a laid-back, no-hurry dining experience. The food was very delicious, and the presentation was an outstanding example of creative California cuisine. But fair warning, if you are not a foody who is up for new experiences, you may be in for a bit of a shock if you are expecting the same old fare, which is not what you will find here. The wine list is presented on an electronic tablet device, which offers wines not only from Domaine Chandon, but other local vineyards as well. Outstanding!"
