My mom's first name is Dolores, so I thought it was cute to take her there. The decor is very nice and old fashioned. I recommend the upstairs area, it has a great view of the city, and the terrace is breathtaking. There weren't a lot of varieties for brunch but what I ordered was perfect, short ribs on english muffin with a poached egg on top. Dolores is a keeper! Great location about 5 minutes from the theater (or the Arena if you're going to a HEAT game!), great food and service. The menu has plenty of choices and each entree includes your choice of appetizer. Prices are very reasonable and protions are generous. I had the ahi tuna and it was cooked to perfection and superb! The veal churrasco thgat my friend ordered was to die for!
We shared the dulce de leche flan for dessert, which was heavenly, and just enough to satisfy the sweet tooth without feeling too guilty.

I can't possibly say enough good things about this place. The dinner was an event...they don't push you in and out to turn the table. The food was outstanding...start with the croquettes (they are unbelievable). I highly recommend sitting on the outside terrace. It is beautiful for an evening dinner. With a nice temperature (71 F), it's a romantic, relaxing and soothing environment. Most tables are lighted with jar candles, so it's nicely dimmed. And it was way less noisy than inside.

At the end of our meal,the waitress brought dice with the explanation that each each person that ordered this desert could roll the dice with any one rolling doubles getting the desert for free. We've lived in Madrid, therefore with all sincerity we can attest the gazpacho is authentic and delicious! Imaginative menu with main dishes that are so satisfying and dense with flavor we were full and content long before reaching the last bite. Lots of time to converse. An attentive and thoughtful waiter did not push the four of us through our meal: allowed to linger after coffee on a busy Wed. night. Dolores/Lolita may seem to have a dual personality but everything about the place follows a solid line of organization - much like the former firehouse it occupies.
