  • "The oysters and my crab cakes were out of sight They have only been there since 1897!!"

  • "This was the second time that we ate at Dock's and i will go back again. The lobster was the best we had and being in the New York vicinity that is a high accompaniment considering the great seafood restaurants in the area. We will definitely go back. The scallop dish was awesome. The first time we went they had Alaskan King Crab legs that were huge and the best i have eaten. They are not on the menu but if they are they are a must to try!"

  • "We were introduced to this gem by friends on our January 2014 visit. We enjoyed it so much that we made sure to dine there with our family when we returned to Atlantic City in April. Once again, we all enjoyed the food and service. I definitely will recommend this restaurant to friends and family visiting Atlantic City."

  • "A real gem of a restaurant tucked away in "downtown" Atlantic City on Atlantic Avenue. Top notch service and high quality food."

  • "I always enjoy coming to Dock's. I brought a friend for her first time and I had to finally ask for a waitperson. We were there for quite a while before I asked. I was a little embarrassed. Once she got to us she was fine. The food was good and the desserts great."

  • "Thanks to onlline reviews and recommendations from friends, we chose Docks to hold a double celebration - a 50th Anniversay and an 80th birthday. It did not disappoint any of us with the only problem being how we could possibly choose just one of any course. A lot of sharing and tasting went on. Our reservation was on time, and our request for a table against the wall honored. In all, a fine experience, one which we will repeat the next time we are in Atlantic City."

  • "We have been coming to Dock's for years. We travel from Boston just to eat here. Concerned that we were coming on a Tuesday night. Just as wonderful as if it had been a weekend. Nearly as busy as well. Love the piano player. Good to see the same faces of wait staff and bar staff year after year."

  • "We went to Dock's to celebrate a special anniversary with our Mother. Dinner was fabulous from start to finish. Our server, RJ, was excellent and very attentive to our needs. There were seven in our party, and every one of us had an incredible meal. Lobster Tail, Crab Saute, Salmon, and of course the Oysters were all delicious. We are looking forward to returning to Dock's soon."

  • "Dining at Dock's combines history of place with refreshing seafood delights in a cozy dining experience. Tripled with outstanding service by veteran waiter - "Will," one (or better two) cannot leave AC without dining at Dock's ! Highly recommended on all fronts- food, service, and just the right table (be sure to check with Valerie for your best spot!) Enjoy the next time you visit Atlantic City - the best is on the rich history of dining spots coupled with modern and fresh interpretation"

  • "Wow... I had an amazing lobster tail -- no, seriously, it was like eating a steak!! The asparagus and lump crab soup was outstanding! My wife had a3 lb lobster that she loved -- and oh, my, save room for the banana cream pie!!"

  • "Great old time classic restaurant with the best seafood in AC. Why spend a lot more at the casino hotels when you this is just a few blocks away with far better food. Eat here and feel as if you are reliving Boardwalk Empire. The clam chowders are not to be missed."

  • "I looked forward to going to Docks as I had heard many good things about this restaurant. I was very disappointed with the level of noise as I was forced into lip reading my wife who only sat across the small table from me. The gaps between service were terrible as we waited LONG periods between placing our order to receiving our bread to receiving our soup to receiving our entrees. We ordered lobster tails and they were horrible - like rubber and @ $54.00 each, I expected much better. The best thing on my plate were the sautéed vegetables (sad to say)! I highly recommend The Crab Trap over this Restaurant ANYTIME!!"

  • "We arrived early for our reservation. I have not experienced such professional service in a very long time. Our waitress, Helen , made us feel very comfortable. We met the chef, Stephan. We had the shellfish sampler for 2, and a bowl of crab and asparagus soup. I ordered flounder with crabmeat and my husband had scallops. The food was excellent. The price was worth the service. I will definitely go back again."

  • "My wife and I were staying in Atlantic City at the Golden Nugget for two nights. We were taking an early spring break to celebrate my birthday. We ate at the Knife and Fork (excellent) and then at Dock's as the Chart House at the Golden Nugget was closed for a private party. This was the first time we ate at Dock's, but we will definitely be back! Everything was great, the food, the service, the wine list and the valet parking. Dock's is not a place to be missed if visiting Atlantic City!"

  • "The raw clams and oysters we had for an appetizer were perfect-sized and extremely tender. There is a container of horseradish at every table, so you can have your cocktail sauce as spicy (or not) as you want it. Corn chowder: Amazing! I had the flounder special - Francese, served over a perfect bed of tomatoes and spinach with a nice lemony sauce - also amazing. And one of the best pomegranate martinis that I have had in a long time. I gave it an "energetic" rating for the noise level because there was a pretty big group (12, I think?) there the night we went. The tables are pretty close together, so I don't think it is the best place for groups, but definitely worth the trip and the price no matter who else is there!"

  • "We have been to Dock's several times over the last 15-20years. It has always been excellent. Food is wonderful, people are extremely friendly and the service is superb. A must go to place in Atlantic City,"

  • "Exelent place to dine. Good service, good food try it you won't be disipointed."

  • "I was disappointed. The oyster stew was acceptable but my main course, crab au gratin, had very little crab, certainly no back fin, and mostly saucy cheese. A side of spinach was very salty. The vegetables served with the 'crab au gratin' were lackluster, although improved with dipping in the cheese sauce that constituted 95% of the 'crab au gratin'. Tables around us who were seated after us were served with main courses before we received our appetizers. We were essentially dismissed at the conclusion of dinner by the waiter who barely asked if desserts were desired and did not offer coffee service. We had to speak up to get his attention to order several coffees before he could dart away. There were 6 affable people in our party."

  • "Place had great food but they were out if our top two wine choices..... We were on our entrees before the bottle of wine even came. Tables are way too close to one another we could reach out and touch the tables on both sides of us and hear their entire conversations. Food was excellent."

  • "I went to Docks on a cold Sunday night. The food was not as good as I had expected, ordered the Flounder/crab special. It just tasted like something I could have made at home. Did hear another customer raving about the Salmon. So I am left still wondering if Docks is as good as I had hoped. I shall return."

  • "The service was marvelous, the menu selection extensive, varied, intriguing...the SPECIALS...WOW! Best fried calamari I've had in some time. My mother, not an easy woman to please LOVED the crab cakes. Yes, it is expensive - but not the worst I've been to, nor would I say it was "overpriced". We had a rambunctious party of eight, from 70 yrs of age to 17. Everyone had a great time. This meal started a most memorable night for my family - truly!"

  • "Each time we go to Dock's my husband and I always order one of each of the oysters on the menu so we can try them all. I can never choose my favorite because they're all good. The crab and asparagus soup was amazing and my dinner of the local Fluke special was out of this world. To note the Red Snapper is always a good menu choice. We topped off our dinner with the Banana Pie. Everything was cooked to perfection. Be advised that they cram the tables into this restaurant so don't expect privacy."

  • "This restaurant is as special as its always been. Consistently good, solid food, lots of long-standing waitstaff and a cozy, classy ambiance, replete with David Gross deliciously playing the keys. We had the seafood tower app for two. it was very fresh and also a healthy and portion but my suggestion is to add one more clam and oyster so that each person can have two. The cheese pie is yummy!!"
