A word from DK Steak House
d.k Steak House is a local Hawaiian Regional steak house specializing in Dry-aged steaks. We are O‘ahu’s first Dry-Aging Room where we dry age on premise ---which imparts a sweeter, fuller, and more robust flavor as well as tenderizing the meat. We use only USDA high-grade beef- Vintage Natural which has NO hormones, NO antibiotics, NO steroids, the beef is all natural. Our double broiler grilling process ensures high-temperature cooking that seals in juices and enhances the natural flavor of the beef. We offer classic sides dishes, and at d.k Steak House we also offer a beautiful sunset view overlooking Waikiki beach.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "I had been googling steakhouses in Waikiki for a week trying to find the best one. In the end, I couldn't decide so just picked DK. I wasn't disappointed. Great aged beef, great wines, and pretty good service. On the expensive side, but everything in Waikiki is compared to Australian prices and the quality of food and service make you feel it's worth it. Only negative was that I had a booking for 7:30 but had to wait ten minutes before being seated ( only three quarters full at that stage), and then it took another 30 minutes before I had a drink in hand! Oh, and the bread sticks were kind of tough/ uninspired but the garlic butter was nice. Good steaks and sides and decent wine list. Would happily return."

  • "Being a past resident of Hawaii and multiple returning Waikiki visitor I was hesitant to try somewhere new to eat. I hate the thought of spending a lot of money on a meal I don't enjoy. Not the case with DK Steaks. Best steak I've eaten in years. Fantastic ocean view. I will eat there again."

  • "I love great steaks, and they are increasingly harder to find. DK Steakhouse does a great job filling this need here in Waikiki. They do dry age one of their cuts (the 22 oz Bone-In Rib Eye), offering a 15 day or 30 day ageing period to choose from. I tried 15 day this time, and it was tender as a scallop and beautifully cooked. Unfortunately, no other cuts are offered as dry aged, though the person I dined with had the New York Strip, and it was also perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. These were well selected cuts of meat, with none of the tendon/sinewy mess that you find in lesser quality beef. The sides dishes were pleasant, but not amazing. The Cesar Salad, om the other hand, was brilliant: Lemony, Anchovy-y bliss. Thanks DK!"

  • "This was a highlight of our trip to Waikiki. We requested and received a table outside, which was amazing. Do this if you can. Even being the middle of summer, we had a very pleasant evening outside overlooking the surf and enjoying great food. We started with some very tasty appetizers, including the scallops with bacon and lobster ravioli. The scallops were perfect and the bacon was a great smoky addition. The ravioli was sweet and savory--very tasty. Followed by a filet and the dry-aged ribeye, which was perfectly cooked. The highlight of the evening was our server, who knew the menu in and out as well as the winelist. She really made the evening and suggested a fantastic wine pairing. For a wonderful evening, be sure to visit."

  • "This was our second visit to the restaurant, wifey and I went last year on our 29th anniversary "tour" and thought it was the best steak I had ever had. Same impression this year. Had the 15 day aged beef last year and the 30 day this time. Awesome stuff, and the sides are equally fantastic. Highly recommended!"

  • "We dine here regularly and it's a great place for dinner with friends or couples. We love the Caesar salad and the paniolo steak rub on the bone in ribeye. The crap dip appetizer is also a delicious way to start, but it's filling. For Dessert, I would highly recommend the massive mud pie to share!!"

  • "DK's food is delicious. Took some "out-of-towners" and they're glad we "turned them on" to the restaurant and will definitely go back on their own when they next travel to Hawaii. The must order is the 30 day dry-aged beef - we shared because we had indulged in wonderful food off of Sansei's menu (we shared 2 truffle ramen's with 6 of us and other sushi items) prior to moving to the main course with lots of side dishes. Wonderful onion rings, scallop potatoes, truffle mac and cheese and the rest of the traditional sides. Don't forget to have the Mud Pie. Delicious!"

  • "Best steak on the island. The aged ribeye was amazing. Service was good considering the Holiday. It was a great way to spend my 25 anniversary"

  • "DK Steakhouse has the best filet mignon I've ever eaten. It melts in your mouth, and you can almost cut it with your fork! Pair it with their Caesar Salad and my personal favorite--the loaded potato (which is definitely large enough to share with someone else)--and you've got the perfect meal. I've never had room for dessert afterwards, but hey, that's even better--eating healthy on top of it! Wait staff was great and the view by the window was stunning. A little pricey but great for a special occasion or vacation treat!"

  • "We were attracted to this steakhouse by their promise of in-house dry-aged steaks. While the food and service were both good, we were seated between the kitchen and a group with infants, who vocalized loudly and continuously. As much as we enjoyed the food, we couldn't wait to get out from between the crashing of plates and the shrieks of toddlers. I would expect better from a restaurant that dedicates so much effort to the food; ambiance is as much a part of the dining experience as the food."

  • "I have been here 3 times now, twice with my husband and once with my family. I believe our server's name was Tate and he was very friendly. I really like his service and the food as always was outstanding! Will definitely visit this restaurant in the near future. I love their steak it is very pricey but its worth it!"

  • "15 days Aged Rib Eye Steak...tenderly delicious! I usually need condiments when I eat a steak but not this one. Will definitely try the 30 day Aged next time. Sides were okay. Service was excellent."

  • "We were an hour late thanks to a parade. Our hostess held our table and was very understanding. Our server was really nice and took excellent care of us without being oversolicitous. He was genuinely a nice person and good at his job. The food was hit and miss. My appetizer was greasy and the Caesar salad wasn't very good. But the steak, potatoes and panna cotta were great. We were seated next to the kitchen (I understand we were an hour late), but it was disrupting to hear servers calling out as they entered. The air-flow in the restaurant isn't very good and the high-back booths make it a little uncomfortable for those of us sitting on the inside. Next time I'd prefer a table near the window (good view). Yes, we'll be back."

  • "I travel to Honolulu at least once a month and DK's Steakhouse is a must each trip. The food is wonderful. Steaks are incredible as are the sides. My daughter loves the double lobster tail. A trip to Waikiki without a night at DK's is missing an opportunity for a great meal and a lasting memory."

  • "Our first visit to celebrate a birthday. Dry aged steak was very tender. Macnut crusted fish a bit over done but flavorful. Really enjoyed onion rings and garden/house salad. Enjoyed wine(reasonably priced.) Happy that more microbrews were added to menu for our birthday guy. Like other yelpers said, the benches were very uncomfortable for a fine(?) dining restaurant where dinners are more leisurely--Downside to overall ambiance. I will not be returning unless someone else is picking up the check-too pricey. Food is good, not great. We did enjoy our waiter Daniel!"

  • "The service was excellent and the food was outstanding....The waiter was very helpful in providing information about the food. The only thing that was a downer was the chairs. I know that the wooden chairs provide the rustic atmosphere feeling of the restaurant but was kind of uncomfortable for the price of dinner. Would have enjoyed more comfortable seating, however, that did not take away from the excellent experience of the dinner."

  • "Absolutely wonderful aged bone in ribeye! Booked through Open Table and we were seated immediately. Started with the beet & goat cheese napoleon. Wonderful! Our party ordered the New York strip and ribeye. Delicious! Onion rings, potato croquettes, & creamed spinach were delicious, too!"

  • "This was our first visit to DK Steak House and after reading all of the positive reviews, it was a great food and service experience. Although they were busy, our waiter made sure we were not left behind and was very attentive. The waiter was also very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions for appetizers and main entrée. I prefer to self park my car and they validate for the first 3 hours.--"

  • "We were not so impressed with the ambiance, the flat hard wood bench seats or the lack of view of the beach directly across the street. We enjoyed the wine, and the Caesar salad was one of the best we've had recently. We choose the filet with crab legs and a 30 day dry aged rib eye. The rib eye was flavorful but didn't live up to the promotion of dry aged or the price paid, while the filet lacked flavor and could have been seasoned to compensate. The crab legs were a skinny small portion. The service was good although our waiter had to many tables to attend to, causing some waiting. Overall an average experience and don't think we'll return. At $160 for two we require more to be on our return list."

  • "Celebrated our 15 year anniversary here. We were able to get patio seating which made for a great ambiance and was a lot quieter than sitting in the dinning room. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was exceptionally good, I don't think we could have found a more perfect place to celebrate the evening."

  • "Excellent service, the food was right on point, the price is a little high but worth it! We ordered the Sampler platter which came with 1 Crab Cake, a small sample salad, cut sashimi, and 2 very big shrimp cocktails, we also got the house bread with their garlic butter which was nice. We then proceeded to order our entrée we both got the 30 day old dry aged stakes with side orders of baked potato (which was big enough for both of us), the mac n cheese (awesome), and the asparagus (good). We both couldn't finish our stakes (which is a shock! LoL) but we boxed it up and ordered our dessert. Since it was my boyfriends birthday they brought him a creamy creme Brulee w/ a candle. We then decided to order the Chocolate Decadence and cheesecake."

  • "This is my third time dining at DK'S and again, Very pleased we did. Service was awesome, didn't have to wait long for drinks and food was brought out at a perfect time of notice. Waiters were very knowledgeable on menu and recommended some very good appetizers. There was no rush in decision making. We felt very comfortable."

  • "Food and service were amazing! Waitress was very attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. My only regret is not obtaining her name to give her credit. As we were waiting for our order to arrive, she mentioned that the kitchen was backed up and apologized for the wait. Thus, she brought us edamame on the house. Food was amazing and the best steak I've had in a very long time. The wife essentially shared the same reaction. The night couldn't have been more perfect."

  • "I search out places with aged beef and have had it all over the country. DK has 15 and 30 day aged beef. I ordered 30 days but would have thought it was not aged or at best 15 days. Regardless of that, it was a very tasty and tender piece of beef. If I had both pieces to compare it to, I would probably have noticed the difference. It's a little bit of an odd looking place for a steakhouse. I would have thought I was in a Japanese restaurant but I was there for the meat. The service was good and consistant. The add on's will kill you as everything is ala cart. Be aware of the valet parking as it is very expensive even with validation."
