Amaazing for our first anniversary. We will be back whenever we visit Vancouver again.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Service, awesome food,Great Service, awesome food, beautiful restaurant. Too bad we are losing Chef Hamid. He will be hard to replace.
He has great personality and he took the time to come out and great his guests. thank you for an awesome dinner Chef Hamid.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWhy isn't everyone here?Diva doesn't have the cachet that some other Vancouver fine dining establishments have, but it really is the best. Half of me is glad you're not all going, so I can have a quiet dinner. But the other half of me is frustrated that few people, save for food-industry insiders, recognize Diva's great food and service.
Try it - it is outstanding in its innovative food, with hints of molecular gastronomy pushing it even further to divine heights. Wines are fabulous, and Diva's sommelier is absolutely at the top of his game. Service is helpful, unobtrusive, and professional.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing taste sensationsWe went to the Diva at the Met to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. We chose the 5-course set menu with wine pairings, and were treated to a wonderful taste and service experience. Every course was imaginative, blending tastes and textures that we had not experienced before, The wine parings perfectly complemented the food, and it was all served in an efficient and professional manner. We dine out a lot, and this had to be one of our favorite all-time Vancouver dining experiences!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMDiva's food is always deliciousThis is an excellent dining room with wonderful food.
The staff are attentive and
unobtrusive. I often am there on business alone and never feel self-conscious having dinner by myself.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPersian Tasting MenuGreat food and wine pairing! Too bad that the Chef is leaving .....5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and Service Amazing! We had a tight schedule so we just ordered off the main dinner menu. I had the prime beef tenderloin and hubby had the pork chop. Our meals came promptly (we mentioned we were in a bit of a rush) and the presentation and quality were amazing! We didn't opt for appies, but did decide to share the "thrice cooked kenebec fries" because they sounded so deluxe. This was the only thing we would have changed. Not because the fries weren't good, but because they really didn't fit with the level of everything else about the food and ambiance. The $12 glass of pinot grigio is also something I would take a pass on next time. If you are going to spend that kind of money on a drink, you might be happier to try one of their special cocktails. Enjoy!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMgood atmosphere and one couldgood atmosphere and one could have a conversation without noise5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful experienceMy date and I took advantage of the "Dinner at the MET" hotel and restaurant package on our visit to Vancouver, which is an excellent value. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the ambience is pleasant. And the food? Oh, the food. Everything is fresh, flavoured to perfection and impeccably presented.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBravo Chef Hamid Salimian!Chef Hamid Salimian has taken Diva up several levels. When everyone else is "doing the same thing", his food is innovative, creative with amazing combinations of flavours and textures that I have experience before. Tasting menu is a must try - truly outstanding! My guests have never been disappointed - heck, it makes me look good!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA long time favoriteMade better because of Corey the sommelier and manager. Service and food are innovative and spot on. Always a good spot for a special occasion.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly fine diningWent for the 7 course tasting menu and it was one of the best tasting menus that we have had ( and we dine out a fair amount ). The courses were incredibly creative both in taste and presentation. In addition to the 7 courses there were a few snacks to begin and later a palate cleanser which were equally delightful. The service was excellent as well and a special thanks goes to Michael the manager/host. He was most personable and professional and really contributed to a great evening. We are very fortunate to have many fine restaurants in Vancouver but Diva with its wonderful food and service make dining out truly a fine dining experience.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMChef outdid himself with creativeneChef outdid himself with creativeness using squid-- absolutely delicious and such a change from other entree choices.
The stilton cheesecake was outstanding...I want the recipe!!
It had the richness of the cheese plate and the slightly bruleed top was enough "dessert"
Chef was actually away, but you wouldn't know it. His kitchen did him proud3/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
