I had amazing crab cakes here. I liked the service, the food was very good and the atmosphere was quiet nice. I would recommend this place for a couples outing or a romantic dinner. The filet is always so tender and cooked perfectly. Also love the chilled salad forks. Although I learned on this trip the staff is not very happy if you show up at 930pm or later (I don't normally plan to eat this late). While they never said it directly I can recognize this by the body language, and the checking of the watches (by no less than 3 of the staff). All my other experiences at Ditkas have been 5 star.! Ironically, we knew what we wanted and were not the last table to leave. Miraculously the staff had a change of demeanor when we wouldn't be last to leave and it was time for the tip. I made a reservation and when we arrived we were immediately seated. I had prearranged to have flowers delivered with another company. The flowers never arrived during my time and arrived later on. The Manager Jeanne notified the florist they missed our delivery time and followed up with the florist to try to resolve. She also notified me that the flowers arrive after we had left which gave me the ability to get a redelivery at my home address. Above and beyond service. I've been to enough steak houses to know a great steak. It was a good steak. I expected great, so I was disappointed. Salads were universally enjoyed. Sides to the steaks were just good, again not great. The rest of the table felt similarly. Service was very high quality. Great wine selection.

Ditka's did not disappoint. Our waiter was friendly, professional, and provided us with outstanding as well as entertaining service and the food was exceptional. The plank steak special was second-to-none I've had in Pittsburgh. To be sure, the prices were high-end, but it was definitely worth it, and all members of our party were thoroughly satisfied. From the time we made a reservation to the time we left, the entire experience was great. The food was really fresh, and even my salad tasted better than anywhere else! I would recommend this restauarant above others because of the obvious care that the cooks and the wait staff display towards guests. I really felt like this was a seemless and enjoyable experience. All I had to do was enjoy myself. The service is TOP NOTCH! Cameron our server is one of the BEST at this establishment. Polite, efficient, personal and just wonderful. The only thing that I have ever gone wrong at this restaurant (and I dine here probably 6-8 times a month for business lunches and dinner w/my wife) is something that still troubles me. I annonymously sent over a $100 credit to a table to cover their desserts,coffee and after dinner drinks. When the table inquired who sent over the gesture the waiter looked at the receipt and said " Gary McLaughlin" and pointed to me. How embarrasing and I felt like I wasted the idea of being annonymous. and the sides were all cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the surf and turf, the filet was one of the best ever and the lobster tail was
