  • "Ditka's never fails to live up to its great reputation, Fantastic meal and service"

  • "This was the 3rd time my friends and I have gone to Ditka's for lunch and as usual the food was exceptional and pricing very reasonable. The only disappointment this time was the service. In the past, we had always been given excellent service; a waiter that would anticipate our every need such as coffee refills, etc. This time we had a waitress that was extremely slow. Did not come back with coffee refills unless we flagged her. Left us for long periods of time. We ended staying much longer than we had anticipated due to this. We did mention it to the manager who said he would speak with her after we left. Except for that, the room, the food, the atmosphere were all excellent."

  • "Was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the service was tops. Entire staff worked to make our experience a great one, and it was."

  • "This was my second time at Ditka’s. The fear of going to a restaurant named for someone famous is that it will just be a chain money grab. (Margaretville comes to mind) Both times I have bben here it has been amazing. The decor is great if you are a sports fan. The food is better that the chain steakhouses ie Morton's, Sullivan's, and the like. From the opening cocktails to the last bit of dessert everything was terrific during both of my trips there. One was a special occasion which I didn't mention the the waiter picked up on it and stepped things up with a champagne toast. The second a business dinner and I could not have been happier with both. Go to Ditka’s if you are close enough to one of their four locations well worth it."

  • "My husband and I were not impressed. I thought the bathrooms were unclean, the service mediocre, and the food was not great. I would not recommend it to anyone."

  • "This was my first time at Ditka's restaurant. We had a large group and I felt the table was of ample size to accommodate everyone comfortably. The menu choices were very good and the sides were defiintely large enough to share, which is fun and you can try different things. The only issue was the noise level. The rating above says Energetic, but it was loud. We had guests in from Europe and we were fortunate to have a table not directly in the main hub of the dining room. Still the noise level was loud and sometimes made it difficult to have a conversation. Otherwise, I would recommend Ditka's for a night out."

  • "Temperature, texture and taste of the medium rare steak was perfect. Wife had Chilean Sea Bass off the Lenten menu and was pleased with the taste and vegetable accompaniments. Great flavors on the sides. New England Style chowder was hot and had an interesting spice. Our waiter, Billy, couldn't have been more professional. Attentive. Friendly. Great menu knowledge. Non-intrusive. Everything you could want for a romantic dinner. We'll ask for him by name next time."

  • "Dinners arrived while still eating our salads, service was average, Sea Bass was ok but not the quality I would have expected. Wedge salad was great."

  • "I ahead a group of seven in from out of town and had a terrific evening at Ditka's Robinson Twp. The food was outstanding and our service was very attentive. My same group ate there last year at this time and we won't hesitate to return next year!"

  • "This was our first time at Ditka's and we were not disappointed! The food was excellent, the server (David) was extremely friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great, and the price was very modest for the amount of food. All in all it was an extremely enjoyable evening with friends, and we all went away as "happy customers"."

  • "although it tasted good and I did not send it back it was overcooked for a prime rib that was ordered "rare". It also did not have the consistency of a slow cooked prime rib."

  • "Ditka's is one of the best steakhouses in Pittsburgh. We wigh we lived closer. Very generous portions. Everything cooked perfectly. We enjoyed eating in the bar."

  • "I've always wanted to try Ditka's but, sadly, like many 'celebrity' restaurants its more of a name-draw than food experience here. My colleague was charged $25/drink for a small amount of high-end bourbon (but not that high-end; a bottle of it goes for $50 at any liquor store). The menu had some unique dishes that I was eager to try. The servings were more generous than other high-end steak houses but the quality was just okay and for the price we paid per dish they should have been stellar. I will give high marks to the ambience and server staff - absolutely outstanding as you'd expect in a higher end restaurant. They moved quickly and food/drink were delivered with speed and professionalism. Everyone was attentive and friendly."

  • "This is a very nice restaurant. We started with the mikes salad and the Greek salad. They were incredible and we were very excited to try our entrees. The steaks were excellent, but the sides were un-impressive. The two of us non steak eaters, had the chicken piccata and not impressed again. Too much lemon on the chicken and the spinach, tomato, and gnocchi just lacked flavor. I would remove the jalapeño hash browns from the menu. The asparagus were so thick you needed a steak knife. I would return for salads and a steak."

  • "Dinner was enjoyable. My wife had an issue with dairy in her meals - we had asked our waitress about it and she brought out the chef who talked to us about the meals. He catered to my wife's needs and made a custom plate for her to ensure that there was no dairy in her meal. Plus I had the ribs and they were good. Great service, great atmosphere, and great meal"

  • "I had heard that Valentine's dinners usually lack in service due to over crowding. Those diners certainly weren't eating at Ditka's! Although seating seemed tight, it still felt personal and romantic. The service was fantastic and the food, as usual, was ridiculously wonderful. My husband and I (married 11 years) knew we'd enjoy our dinner at Ditka's and we weren't disappointed one bit. Thank you!"

  • "Celebrated our 22 year anniversary at Ditka's in Pittsburgh in the month of February. Highly recommend the Pot Roast Nachos for an appetizer! Since it was the Valentine weekend there was a limited menu. Wife ordered the N.Y. Strip Steak which she said was very, very good and I ordered the 16oz Prime Rip. The cut of beef was the best Prime Rib I have ever had in my life to where I could almost cut it with my fork from the tenderness! When visiting the Pittsburgh area we will be sure to visit Ditka's again and HIGHLY recommended by my wife and I!!!!!"

  • "Visiting Pittsburgh, wanted a good steak and a bottle of wine.. We found both of them at Ditka's. The place was nice and the food was excellent. Our waitress was outstanding and was able to give us lots of recommendations and suggestions. She is definitely a keeper! They even surprised my daughter with a birthday dessert and a birthday card. The whole night was perfect."

  • "My husband ordered steak and I had the crab cakes. Both of them were absolutely delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I will be going back again."

  • "This restaurant exceeded my expectations; make sure you make a reservation because you will sit a long time if you do not and it is a busy night. The only downer in the was the comfort of the both. The backs on the both were too straight up/down and the table was too close to the guests (I am a guest). If I were (say) portly, I would have had a tough time sitting down. Overall it was a great experience"

  • "The food was excellent, best sea bass I have ever had. They had a special menu for the evening which was nice but we chose to select off the menu. They brought me the wrong wine but quickly corrected it & gave me what I ordered, very good service. Would definitely go back but a little pricier so great spot for a special occasion. Thanks"

  • "My wife and I had a very nice dinner here. Ditka's handled the crowd well. We did have reservations, but when we dined in other establishments on Valentine's Day we still had a wait. Not at Ditka's! We didn't feel rushed out of our table either. The food isn't cheap however it was worth the money. What really made the experience enjoyable was the service. Our waiter was very good. He suggested his favorites from wine to food and was spot on. He even suggested we could split the side dishes since the serving size was big. We will be coming back again!"

  • "We enjoyed how the limited menu included Ditka favorites. We have been out for Special Occasion dining before where a limited menu did not provide us with enough of a selection. The limited menu at Ditkas was excellent and we ended up ordering everything al la carte instead of the valentines day special. During our dining experience the waitress was very accomodating. Overall great experience."

  • "We had reservations at 6 pm, and arrived 10 minutes early but were told we had to wait until 6:15 to be seated. This was somewhat annoying especially because we had reserved the table so far in advance, but the food was incredible - well worth the wait. Our server was very attentive and helpful with wine recommendations. We both ordered the filet and it was one of the best steaks we have ever had. We are frequent diners at Morton's and Capital Grill and this meal surpassed all of them. We'll be back."

  • "The service was very good and attentive yet understated. There was a wide selection on the menu and our two dinners were excellent. Desert was a tasty cheese cake that topped a wonderful meal. The only weakness was a very slow reception group. Half the tables were empty and there were at least eight groups waiting to be seated ."

  • "Ditka's is a nice place to go for a special occassion. The food is good, but I am constantly troubled by the consistency of the food. In the same week, I visited Ditka's for a business dinner and then an early Valentine's dinner with my wife (we do not go on Valentine's day as restaurants are crazy on the actual date). I ordered a NY Strip on Tuesday and it was good. My wife ordered the same steak on Thursday and it looked totally different and quite a bit better, I might add. Tuesday strip was thick and narrow. Thursday strip was thick, but wider and juicier. The wedge is always a go to for a salad and their blue cheese dressing is exceptional."

  • "My husband and I have only been here for dinner so we decides to try lunch, and we were not disappointed. The portions were huge, with a small price. Our server was so friendly, and the whole staff seemed to work together as a team. Great lunch date!"

  • "Even though it was a busy night, (valentines day), the food was great and the service was excellent as usual. Smaller menu but we all had a great meal. Surf n turf was really good. Good size filet and good size lobster tail. The one suggestion I would make is that if you like your steak medium order it medium rare. We already knew that going in."

  • "The service and food was outstanding. We felt tight as we were placed in the back room at a table in the corner. Very tight seating for some one 6'4" I just hope next time we get a better table."

  • "Great atmosphere. Was running a couple minutes late due to traffic and before I could call the restaurant, they called me. Were very nice, held the table. Ordered the NY strip steak, tasted excellent. Overall great experience. I had been wanting to check out Ditkas for some time now . I love coffee and Mike Ditka in a movie once called coffee " the lifeblood of champions"/ I use that expression now myself."

  • "We have been to Ditka's a number of times with always consistent results, excellent. On a day like Valentines they did an outstanding job. Well organized, great menu, and outstanding service."

  • "Ditka's is a favorite. This place understands a simple fact: Keep dishes simple, fresh, and well prepared. Maintain quick courteous knowledgeable service--experienced pros. They change wine offerings with items for all palettes and wallets. The Caesar salad, for example, is not overly creamy--just a simple hint of citrus, light, with non-oily anchovies on the side for those who want them. When we wanted to share it, the waiter and his assistant thoughtfully provided tongs. Crab cakes, so mundane elsewhere, have large chunks of claw meat, no wasted filler, and an original tartar sauce. Sides are tasty. Drinks are superb. Mike knows how to please. And these was on Valentines day, and the place hummed along without a hitch."

  • "Everything was perfect except we are not sized for booths. The booth was extremely cramped. We had one guest that was 6'3 and 300 pounds. We should have been asked if a booth was acceptable . We were not comfortable. Everything else was perfect. Food was unbelieveable.wow"
