  • "We went to Ditka's - Oakbrook for our anniversary dinner with an other couple. It was a busy Saturday night. Probably an hour or more wait if you did not have reservations. So the place was packed and a hopping. So normally I would think that the service would be a bit hurried or that the waiter would not be as attentive. But was I wrong ! Andrew was our waiter and I would have to say that he was the best waiter I have ever had. A+ to you Andrew. This was 4-5-2014 8pm. The food was another A+,one of the best steaks I have ever had with all the food was A-pluses for all of us. We were all impressed ! To the management, Andrew needs to be working in management of this restaurant " He was awesome" ! Thank you Iron Mike for a great experience !"

  • "I thought this was a good choice to take my mom and aunt after a play at drury lane- wrong. This is definitely for guys who want to watch sports. It was so loud in hear we could barely hear each other talk. My twin filet was barely warm - I was very disappointed in the size also. I won't be returning to this restaurant."

Can get noisy especially anywhere near the bar. Also usually numerous large business groups that can get loud just because of the numbers. Good sides and plenty for up to four in a single serving."

All ages come to Ditkas first and foremost because of the food - Outstanding!! The pork chops are killer! It is a fun fast-paced enjoyable environment that is sure to keep you coming back. The manager does an outstanding job with running this restaurant with efficiency."

  • "The prime rib was delicious and juicy -- prepared exactly as I ordered. The prices were very reasonable given the large amount of food I got for the price. The restaurant can do a lot better though with service. When I make a reservation, I can understand waiting up to 15 minutes. But 40 minutes is unacceptable. The hosts seemed clueless as to the wait times -- kept telling me 5 minutes -- and then when I was sat, the host told me, "Sorry it's Saturday and we're busy." Not an acceptable answer for someone who is a big spender at your restaurant and has a reservation!"

  • "While the steaks, crab, potatoes, asparagus, soup and desserts were outstanding; the lobster was tough and overdone and the pot roast nachos were barely warm. After looking forward to dinner for several months after surgery, it was a little disappointing. While I would still recommend it, I might not recommend the lobster. As for the pot roast nachos, I always recommend that, so hopefully our friends who will be first timers, will get hot nachos and enjoy them. The service was excellent as usual, so this kept the evening from being a disaster. Hope they can correct any kitchen problems because there's a lot of competition out there, even for good steaks and lobster."

While the "pork chops" are a signature dish, there are many other excellent choices and the wait staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. While a Sport's Bar in some ways, there is a dedicated Restaurant section which is fine those who prefer a more traditional setting."

  • "It was so noisy, my elderly friend couldn't hear any conversation. This was with most tables in our seating area empty. The waitress didn't process the check properly and now I have to call to get her tip to her. I was texted the amount charged to card after we left. SHe did a decent job and I dont think she deserves getting stiffed"

  • "We arrived early and told the hostess we wanted to relax at the bar prior to being seated. She said the table would be ready at our reservation time. We had just sat down ordered a drink and they sent a text that our table was ready. Seeing how busy the restaurant was, we went to the table. Our steaks were great but my potatoes were cold, I did not complain, because I don't care to do that, but I would be more attentive to sides as well as the main course. Also, we were sat next to the bar which was much noisier than we had experienced at this restaurant before."

  • "Ditka's has never disappointed. The Oakbrook location suits us all coming from different directions. It is consistently good food, atmosphere, and service. The restaurant is always comfortable and a great place to dine with friends or family. We loved the new prix fixe menu. What a fantastic value. Two of us had the delicious buttery tasting prime rib and two of our party delighted in the crab cakes. The Caesar salad and the Ditka's salads were really superb. The ice cream desert provided the perfect ending to our dining."

  • "We went to Ditka's for dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I had read other reviews about how the restaurant could be noisy so had requested a quiet table. They did have that info when we arrived and perhaps the table they gave us was the quietest but the restaurant was so noisy it was hard to have a conversation. We were dressed up as it was a special occasion for us but everyone else was quite casual so it did not feel like a romantic date-like atmosphere. They gave us a complimentary glass of champagne after we were seated, and wished us a happy anniversary. The service was very good. I had filet mignon and my husband had the crab cakes. The food was quite good but the overall experience lacking."

  • "Our recent St. Patrick's weekend outing at Ditka's Oakbrook Terrace restaurant was outstanding. We opted to dine in one of the comfy booths adjacent the lively bar. And, despite being seated across from two couples standing at the bar who were annoyingly loud, we managed to put this mild inconvenience aside since we were being served by Justin, who does double duty as a bartender and waiter depending on his particular schedule. Whether he's working behind the bar on serving guests, Justin is outstanding at his job, not only service-wise, but he's also exceptionally personable. As for our meal and adult beverages, we ordered off of the special St. Patrick's weekend menu: corn beef for Sue; fish and chips for me. Everything was amazing."

  • "I took my twin sons here for their 21st birthday. The service wasn't very good. We ordered appetizers and had no plates to eat them on. Had to call our waiter over to get some. After that my drink was empty for a good 10 min. before the waiter noticed me pointing towards my glass. The food is excellent, and I have been there before with decent service. When I spend this kind of money for a good meal, I expect good service. Not this time. Our waiter was leaning against a wall,so I don't think it was because he was to busy. Not very happy."

  • "Oak Brook Location: We started with Pot Roast Nachos. Had enough for dinner for both of us with the leftovers. Pot roast was seasoned well, and was not "heavy". Ask for extra sour cream on the side as they drizzle a little of it on the top. Had blue cheese crusted small filet medium rare. Cooked perfectly. Wish they had Parmesan crust and double baked potato crust in their line up. Cosmo martinis made with Cointreau not the cheaper liquor. Heavenly. Service was the best. Didn't feel rushed even though the place was packed. Gave us a little time to digest between the appetizer and entree. At the end of the meal, when we were ready to leave female waiter asked if she could take our valet ticket outside so our car would be ready. Great touch!"

  • "For the second day of my wife's 50th we headed to Ditka's in Oakbrook with our (adult) children. We were seated near the entrance to the kitchen and while the noise level was pretty high, it proved to be fairly entertaining ( I enjoy a view of the kitchen staff.) Bottom line, dinner was excellent. My coffee rubbed delmonico ribeye was perfection. My son's NY strip was voted best by the ladies at the table. My daughter had the chicken piccata and was a little underwhelmed. My wife surprised us all by ordering the prime burger and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The only set back was my youngest son's baby back ribs. Voted worst by the table, they were dry/over-smoked and just disappointing. We grieved briefly and dove into desert. Loved it."

  • "The service was exceptional! I hardly ever care to ask nor remember the waitresses name while dinning. Ditkas was the exception. I like to consider myself well traveled and a certified foodie. Food was amazing! That said, I had the best service in a long time from Lucia Maldonado. She was very helpful. Had a huge sense of pride for where she worked. A smile that lit up the restaurant. I plan my return to Ditkas contingent on her being my waitress. Great work Ditkas team!"

  • "We had free evening without the kids so we thought we'll grab something to eat. My husband order the prime rib diner special that comes with dessert of the day and I had the Chilean sea bass. The meat was juicy and tender, and the sea bass (on the small side for $38) was perfectly cooked. I love the shaved fennel & arugula salad that came with the fish! Over all the food was good, but the place is so loud that we can hardly have an intimate conversation. But I would come back again for the food."

  • "I'd read mixed reviews online but decided to give Ditka's a try. We had excellent service the entire evening - from the hostess, server & a seperate person who kept our drinks full. Fresh hot bread was promptly delivered & more bread was offered with receipt of our meal. Only complaint was my steak, ordered medium, was closer to a well done; however, I give credit to our server as she agreed & offered to have a replacement steak prepared. I waivered a bit but declined. The steak was still pretty tender & had a good flavor. Without asking, the server had the cost of the steak removed from our bill. I didn't ask for that to be done, but it was the right thing for them to do. Overall, it was a great experience & I'd recommend Ditka's."

  • "Ditka's used to be my number one favorite restaurant of all time. I made special reservations for my fiance that got a job promotion and I was so excited to take him there. Upon arriving, we were seated at our table and waited 10-15 minutes for a waiter to even come greet us and get a drink order. After our rude waiter got our drink order, we then ordered our food (ribs, filet mignon and green beens) The green beans and filet are my all time favorite food, or at least they used to me. It had been 6 months since we were at Ditkas and this time the green beens are cooked differently. They were bland and crunchy and it was missing the balsamic sauce that made it so delicious."
