  • "We checked out the new location a week before our 35th anniversary enjoying a great Bloody Mary with a skewer of shrimp and olives. Dave the bartender was friendly and pointed out the various amenities. We booked table 524 - a corner baguette and celebrated with great steaks. We skipped dessert but enjoyed the champaign offered by our server to toast the occasion."

  • "Food Was Just Ok For A Bit High Priced place. At This Time I Would Not Go Back And Not Recommend It To Anyone.Maybe Once They Are There For A While I'll Go Back. Food Was Cold And They Never Even Brought Us Our Potato They Kept Telling Us It Was Coming But Never Did. Who Can't Make A Twice Baked Potato. There Was 6 Of Us And To Pay Around $300 For Cold Food Turned Me Off. Not To Mention You Better Have Time. It Took 2.5 Hours To Eat. Very Slow Service."

  • "First time at Arlington location, beautiful setting, spacious, lots of menu options, friendly staff, lots of sports related items surrounding the whole dinning experience. Went there on a Sunday night during the July 4th weekend, not crowded so received lots of attention. They are still growing and working out what new restaurants usually experience. All in all was a good time in a nice place. Easy to find, lots of parking and tasty food."

  • "The food was average. The service was slow and unattentive. Our server neglected to check on us the duration of the meal, we had to request another round of drinks, and food was not prepared as requested (ie no giadiniera on meatball sliders). It is a new restaurant and kinks need to be ironed out, but overall staff was aloof, unhelpful (as in what was the best way to get to the track, the hostess had "no idea" in terms of it was walkable or we should re-park). Overall extremely disappointing and poor experience."

  • "We had a terrible experience this time. It took over a hour and a half to get our food and then it wasn't right. The manager was very apologetic and comped the entire bill because of all the problems. They were understaffed and couldn't serve around 50 people at different tables for lunch. Ditka's is a new restaurant in Arlington Heights and the staff needs a little more training and everything should be able to run smoothly. I was there for the grand opening a week ago and it was GREAT! So obviously, this was a staffing issue."

  • "Very disappointed in the service level. Arrived for 12:30 reservation; not served food until after 2:00. Twelve of us were celebrating a birthday, and had to keep going inside from our patio seating to find our server to get beverages and to place our food order. Only about 30 guests were in the restaurant inside. Server said they were short-staffed & the kitchen was behind schedule, but that didn't explain why she kept disapppearing, as there were very few other customers to be served. I've enjoyed Ditka's in Oak Brook, and would have thought that Ditka's management would have brought in seasoned, sufficient staff for this restaurant's opening. Nice location at Trackside, but we will wait quite a while to try it again."

  • "We went to Ditka's by the track in Arlington Heights, for lunch--special occasion. Our food was all delicious---great "fridge burger", the best fish tacos, and really yummy flourless chocolate cake. The service was outstanding. They made us all feel like we were the only ones in the place. This may just me my new favorite area restaurant."

  • "Great addition to the neighborhood. Food is good as usual at a Ditka's. While the decor is not as upscale as his other locations, the place has a nice feel to it. We will likely ce often. Particularly on a weekend night to check out how lively it could be. WELCOME BACK TO ARLINGTON!"

  • "Overall the food, the service and atmosphere were very good. My only criticism was that my wife and I ordered the coffee rubbed ribeye medium rare and they were medium well. A good cut of steak but surprisingly thin for a place like diktas."

  • "Very old school, dark and club-like. Maybe that is what they are going for but for me, it is a throwback to the 80's (Ditka's era, I guess). There were a LOT of servers, all men. These guys, although adorable, kind of were falling all over each other trying to serve us. The food was EXCELLENT, however and our steaks were perfectly cooked. Side of grilled onions was the only thing that needed work (neat slices of onions not fully cooked through, I like the messy, flavorful kind). I would suggest brightening things up with some cool lighting, use white linens instead of black, add some organic elements to the decor (plants/flowers) and generally modernize. It looks as if the revamp was done "on the cheap" and it shows."

  • "Great food, service needs improvement. Our waiter was friendly but not knowledgable on the menu or wines. Our bus boy was more helpful than the waiter! The pot roast nachos were recommended and very tasty but light on the pot roast. Three of the 4 of us had twin filets with crab cakes. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were almost all pure crab, no fillers. However, 3 of our meals came and the fourth was almost 10 minutes later. There was a long lag between the nachos and salads. The mule cocktails were great and refreshing. We tried Ditka's own Cabernet and it wasn't very good. No room for dessert but our neighbors' desserts looked amazing. We will return for the good food and hope that the service improves."

  • "Food was pretty good but ambiance of other Ditka's really missed. This space was old OTB Parlor and very little was done to change that atmosphere. Good casual place for lunch but not a great atmosphere for dinner out. Maybe that's what they had in mind?"
