Great space, just the perfect number of tables (not too big, not too small). Wonderful selection of local beers and the wines are very well priced. Food is spot on. A very welcome addition to the DC dining scene.

The food at DK is hit or miss. I've eaten there twice and much of the food is not seasoned well enough. I can not recommend it for a great meal, but the service is great and so are the cocktails. I just don't know what's going on in the kitchen.

Interesting, well prepared, and good tasting food. Would definitely recommend it if not for it's inappropriately nickle-and-dime pricing. Want a side salad with your $32 fish entree? That will be $5 extra. Want some extra horseradish sauce? $2 extra. If this were some lame chain restaurant with lame chain restaurant prices, I wouldn't quibble. But given that this restaurant clearly aspires to be more than that, the experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Food was mixed: pasta was grossly undercooked (crunchy, not al dente)but sauce very good. Fried chicken and pork chops were good but not exceptional. Service was very pleasant. Prices a little on the high side for what you get.

Service is nice and the restaurant is aesthetically well set-up. But the food was lackluster at best. Nothing worth the price. It is a shame--but I guess without a great chef/menu, what is the point.

The service was rushed - we had three courses in barely an hour - and the fish special came out as a whole fish, standing on its belly and curved around the plate. There was no mention of it being a whole fish, and since my bf was too polite to send it back, he spent the evening picking small bones out of each mouthful rather than relaxing and enjoying our conversation. The fries were also mushy and bland. It was mediocre, and considering the $120 tab for two, not worth a return visit.

Great food, great service, but most importantly, outstanding atmosphere in a city full of restaurants that look like hotel bars! The pate at $8 was a steal for both the quantity and quality. My only complaint was the biscuit that came with my lump crab meat was terrible - honestly worse than most fast food biscuits. But that's a pretty small issue for an otherwise great meal.

Delicious food, interesting menu, knowledgable server. It was great overall. Minor hiccup in our food being delivered.. Even with that, I would totally go back! So I guess that says a lot about the rest of the experience!
