On the way out I was enticed by the cookies. I stopped to order one and the manager inquired how our meal was and gave me the cookie for no charge. Staff accommodated the larger than expected group nicely. Food was great: selection and price range are fantastic for a casual dining experience. Fried chicken is a must-try (be prepared for HUGE portions). Service was attentive but not intrusive. My husband ordered the Falls City kissed fish, and he reported that it tasted as good as it looked. Very reasonably priced and flexible on substitutions. I had fried chicken on my first visit and it was delectable. I asked for a coleslaw instead of green beans and it was the best cole slaw I ever had. There must have been a touch of mustard in it.
Had lunch there a couple of days later (they are famous for their Hot Brown), but I had the fish and chips, another winner.

Our party of 6 was seated immediately and they were very accomodating with my elderly mother and moved us downstairs so she would not have to climb the stairs.
