  • "Congratulations on the high quality of food, service, and ambiance. You have nailed a perfect balance. How do I know this? I have been here twice in the past two weeks, and with The Dish being located in the midst of Dallas' gay neighborhood, I was shocked to see many young urban straight couples as part of the clientel. Thanks for bridging the gap. Outstanding in every respect. I know I will make the 30 minute drive from the north burbs more often to support your wonderful establishment. Great job folks!"

  • "This restaurant is wonderful. The food is amazing. But what really makes Dish shine is the excellent service and staff."

  • "The menu offered great variety and the food was great as well. We had a party of 5 and everyone was very pleased with their meal. Service was good and atmosphere was lively. We will be back and would recommend it to others."

  • "We can always count on great food, beverage and service at Dish! Our waiter Shane is fantastic!!!!"

  • "Took a friend for his birthday and met another couple. Eggs Benedict was wonderful and the French Toast was different but yummy. Of course, our server Randy was 100% as usual. He is always super efficient and accommodating. Glad to hear you are opening other locations in town, although the Cedar Springs location is a lively area. Could use a nice piano during the daytime."

  • "The main reason I booked Dish was because it was convenient to the Dallas Trade Mart, had valet parking, and an interesting, varied menu. Service was excellent - from being met by Jennifer, their sales manager, who thanked me for making reservation, and a terrific waiter Bethy who kept pictures of entrees on her cell phone! The sublime cucumber/basil martini was fabulous (we had several), crab appetizer more than ample for two to share. Dish is good about splitting salads and entrees (nominal plating fee if you want kitchen to do it). Roasted salmon well presented. Dessert - a delicious chocolate nutella mousse that three of us shared. Nice ambiance, great location. Will be back!"

  • "After getting our nails done next door, my friend suggested Dish for happy hour. The happy hour specials were great. Wine was really good, but we already drank during our pedicures next door, On to the food... WOW! A lot of attention to detail. The "bread" crackers that came with the hummus were so good. The pizza was great, thin crust and really fresh tomato sauce with fresh basil. The jalepeno Mac and cheese, yum! I'm vegetarian and they made mine without chicken which was great. The service we received from Randy our waiter was top notch. He was so pleasant and accommodating! The physical location and aesthetics of the restaurant were so modern and on trend. Great spot that I will visit again next time I'm in Dallas!"

  • "After making an open table reservation, upon check in on time, the manager tried to seat us outside on an enclosed patio with no air conditioning and on a 93 degree day with no proper ventilation. The manager outright lied when he said he tried to call and inform us that our open table reservation was made too late (the day prior) to be included for a table inside the restaurant. We were eventually seated after basically an argument with the actual manager to sit in air conditioning...and then watched as the restaurant stayed with a constant 5 to 7 open tables at all times throughout our dining experience. Food was below average, but we had a great waiter. times have changed at this establishment....don't bother"

  • "While responding to my spouses request for trying new restaurants, I stumbled upon Dish. What a treat!! We had appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts and all were delicious!!"

  • "I really enjoyed everything about the evening. The food was just extraordinary. I had the daily special which was halibut with grits and a peach salsa. It was divine. I tasted my friend's scallops, and they were decadent. The cheesecake "flight" for dessert was awesome."

  • "We visited Dish on a Sunday night and it wasn't crowded at all. The food and the drinks were excellent. The mixed drinks were prepared well and had ample amounts of liquor. We had the deviled eggs for an appetizer and they were amazing! Who woulda thunk deviled eggs would be amazing but the pickled red onions and bacon they were topped with really made them taste delish! I chose their Jalapeno Mac and cheese (smooth and crunchy) and my hubby's burger and fries were scrumptious. We chose simple fare. I would like to return to try their pulled pork tacos or one of their many flatbreads. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. We were not keen on going to brunch and she agreed....dinner is a better choice. The decor is hip and perfectly done "

  • "The staff at Dish made this birthday celebration a perfect evening for the nine of us. The menu was varied and tasty. Specialty drinks and good wine flowed. Our waiter very attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better location for this special occasion!"

  • "My girlfriend and I tried DISH out for brunch. The blood orange mimosas were awesome, we could drink a pitcher of them. We ordered several items so we could try a little of everything. We had the chicken and waffles which was d pretty good, one of the scrambles and the French toast. The French toast was amazing. It was crispy on the outside and fluffy, melt in your mouth goodness on the inside. It is totally worth the trip for the French toast and the blood orange mimosas. "

  • "First time at Dish. The food was very good and the presentation was excellent. The place was a well oiled machine and it was Mother's Day. They did not miss a beat! Would like to revisit on a late night. "

  • "The menu choices were fabulous, the food was great and service was excellent. This was our second visit and while busy, special occasions are typically more difficult for a restaurant, we truly enjoyed everything about our brunch."

  • "Returning to Dish for the food and the energy. Surprised the room was not full on a Saturday night. Hoping this was an anomaly and not the harbinger of things to come. Food is still great - mussels can't be beat."

  • "Sure miss the pre fixe menu. The specials used to be creative and memorable. Catch of the day was trout. Sounded unspectacular. Bacon wrapped shrimp were ok, but orzo pasta was pasty dry. Salmon was very good as were soup, salad and appetizers. Variety of specialty cocktails were good, as always. Very slow night (Thursday), and service was great. Lacks the pizazz of a top dining establishment that it used to have. Needs to be reenergized. "

  • "We always have a wonderful time at Dish, drag brunch or otherwise! Everyone was very accommodating as my group fluctuated between 12 and 14 and took great care of us. We arrived and were immediately taken to our table that was ready to go. Job well done, thank you!"

  • "Outstanding food and drinks. Surprised my wife for our 2yr anniversary and went back the next day the food was so good!"
    Dined on 4/26/2014
  • "Loved the jalapeno chicken mac & cheese! Ultimate comfort food! Skip the deviled eggs - not much different than what Mom makes, except for a little curly endive! Salmon was a hit! My husband loved the mussels and all the veggies were good. What is up with the iced tea? I don't drink alcohol anymore, so tea is a staple for me. I like jasmine tea, but theirs is very bitter and not really good iced! They didn't have regular tea. Pet peeve of mine - like maybe a coffee drinker would feel about a restaurant only having flavored coffee. "

  • "Great place to bring a group, prices per meal can stay frugal at 14-19 dollars a plate on up to around 35. Give one of the signature drinks a try, you won't be disappointed. "
    Dined on 4/25/2014
  • "It reminded me if chilis. The food was ok nothing to write home about. The service was what you'd expect of a chain resturante. At the end of the meal I was dissatisfied until our bill arrived. We had received a bill for $150 yet the experience was that of $75, pretty much sums it up. If you go in expecting a upscale chilis you will be pleased yet if you go in expecting a niche resturante experience you will be disappointed."

  • "It was Easter Sunday brunch, but we were seated almost 40 minutes after our scheduled reservation! Luckily, our server had a great personality and made things much better. Will probably start going somewhere else for brunch."

  • "Fixed price menu and varied selections were a good choice for this holiday. Service was stretched on this occasion and the restaurant was busy at full capacity at noon."
    Dined on 4/20/2014
  • "We used to love Dish. Unfortunately, the food and service is slipping- or it has completely slipped. We booked Easter Brunch. The service was slow and inattentive --- I realize that it was busy but the waiter pressured us to make our order as soon as we arrived, he then ignored us and our used plates and coffee cups as he buzzed around his other tables. We waited entirely too long in between the 1st and 2nd courses and the 2nd and 3rd courses. I ordered eggs benedict. The eggs were cold and the hollandaise was tepid. I'm surprised that Dish uses a hollandaise sauce that comes from a mix -- not fresh made. Basically, Dish is off my list and it will be off everyone's if it doesn't step-up. "

  • "We were finally seated at a table in a raised area. It was fine. The waiter was warm and friendly, but he had too many tables. We ordered the deviled eggs and the lamb pops. They were good. Most of us ordered some type of Benedict. They were all really good. For dessert, we chose the butterscotch bread pudding and a Nuttela mousse. The butterscotch bread pudding didn't resemble bread pudding in any way. It was a creme brulee' without the toasted sugar. I wouldn't have minded if it had been named correctly, but I really love bread pudding. The Nuttela mousse wasn't memorable. Over all, brunch was a disappointment. Our reservation was at 1:00 and we didn't leave until after 3:30. Been there, done that, don't need to go back."
    Dined on 4/20/2014
  • "We went for Easter brunch and chose from the fixed menu. The food was delicious but the service was unfortunately awful. The entire tables appetizers and entrees were brought out at different times with some just receiving their entree just as another was getting their appetizer. The orders were incorrect and needed to be sent back. My husband never received his dessert despite asking for it twice before we just asked for the check and left. I do not recommend going on a holiday. Food was good so maybe on a slow night the service would be better."

  • "Love this place. Have been here 3 or 4 times and it always delivers. I've tried almost the entire menu and wouldn't frown upon a single item. The drinks and wine are solid as well. My favorite part of this restaurant is the versatility of its menu. So many different options and it's great to order a bunch of small items to share or going with the more traditional individual entrees."
