The wine offerings were different, allowing me to try something new - I was not disappointed! A lovely Riesling accompanied my dinner of steak+frites. The Pre-Theatre menu included a dessert choice, and i chose the fried apple beignet with praline ice cream and VA Maple Syrup - "Elf" was right, syrup is good on everything! The service was very attentive throughout. The special Grouper was very good but a bit lighter on flavor; not as amazing as the steak and pasta. The tuna tartare and spring roll appetizers were also excellent! the tartare in particular had a great presentation and flavor!

It's hard to find.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMDISH+drinks is goot for pre-KC mealThe area near enough to the Kennedy Center for pre-event meals is rather short in acceptable restaurants, so DISH+drinks was a nice surprise. The dining room is very small and shares the space with a bar with TVs playing, so the ambiance is less than perfect, but the food and service made up for that. Early, before a show or concert, it was relatively quiet and not overfull. The evening's special of soft-shell crabs were perfectly cooked and the homemade tagliatelli with a fresh tomato sauce was also excellent. The waiter was attentive, but not intrusive and we finish in plenty of time to saunter to the Kennedy Center for an 8:00 PM concert by the NSO.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were excellent. The service was very good, and they seated us on time. We also used the $6 valet parking as there were no spots on the street. As we had an early reservation, we were not rushed at all and had wonderful service that was very personable and efficient, plus the food was great. The beet salad was especially delicious. For the main course, one person remarked that his pork chop was the best he had ever had; the flatiron steaks of two others were cooked as ordered, and to perfection. The wine selection was good.
