We could not have been more wrong. The restaurant is modern, the food and service were great. The liqueur (esp. the Scotch selection) is extensive. The guys in our party ordered full meals and thought hey were great. The girls ordered a large selection of small plates that we shared. It was all wonderful. We highly recommend the Tuna Tartar tostados and the ceviche was fabulous. The boys gave rave reviews for the lamb and the saffron stew.
The location is in the heart of DuPont. Ok, the oxtail spring rolls were perfect. I just had food envy when my buddy ordered lamb and I went wrong with mushroom ravioli. I went with a group of friends and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Wine by the glass was a decent selection and at a good price. Also, there were quite a few options for scotch drinkers. The nightclub up on the roof was fun. Not the hottest scene in town, but a really great DJ, cheap drinks, and admission is free if you have dinner in the restaurant. I would recommend this place for a casual night out with a date or for dinner with friends because of the option to go up to the club after your meal.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent light mealFood was excellent. Be advised the pricing is rather high for the quantity served. We eat out frequently & I don't like heavy or wasteful plates. This was the opposite. Plates were around $28 and meals were very small - looked more like tapas. My piece of salmon looked like a small half piece. Lamb pieces are normally not large; however these were small and thinly cut. Not a problem Bc we left feeling satisfied, not stuffed. The burger ordered by someone else also looked small for a gourmet burger, though he said it was delicious. I started with the tuna tartar, which was good, but the sauce was very limey. It overpowered the tuna, but still ok. Then I had the DM Salad which was yummy. My husband had the black and blue burger, which was awesome! I am not a burger person, and I even thought it was great. He thought it was one of the best burgers he has ever had!! The crowd was young, and most people were there for hh!
