The food was perfect (per usual), the staff was very helpful and quick to refill water/pita bread. Being that this was an anniversary dinner, they made it really special by telling us "happy anniversary" not only verbally, but it was also printed on the menus.   • "I've eaten here several times - with a large group, a group of four and most recently with just my husband. It was top notch every time and the food was consistently outstanding. The grilled octopus starter is to die for, the brussels sprouts (even without the bacon) were outstanding and the honey was divine. I had the brazino as the main course and it was perfectly done, a very good portion, and the potatoes are to die for. Ending the night with the loukoumathes (Greek beignets) was the perfect choice. I'll definitely be back!"

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Dio Deka. The restaurant is located in the beautiful Hotel Los Gatos and the ambiance is inviting. The staff, without exception, were gracious and welcoming. Our waiter was superb and helpful. The food, from the delicious pita bread and selection of Greek dips to two of the most wonderful steaks we have ever had, was exquisite and memorable. Our waiter did not push expensive wine on us. Upon hearing we would share one glass of wine with our meal, he recommended a superb Pinot Noir that complemented the meal perfectly. It was a 10 out of 10 evening. We will definitely return."

  • "Dio Deka had a Michelin star until 2012. So last week, being in Los Gatos we decided to give it a try to see how they are doing at the moment. The Greek inspired menu provided good choice with interesting options. The food itself was well prepared and the service friendly and forthcoming. All in all quite good but definitely not a restaurant back on track to returning to Michelin star status. While tasty, there was no "whoa"-moment and there really was nothing innovative. So for a 150 dollar per person we left not disappointed but in the knowledge that DioDeka will probably not return to the little red book any time soon. That being said I'd recommend the place for a nice dinner or small celebrations."

  • "I have been here few years back when they won the Michelin Star rating. Was worried this time as they have since then lost the rating. On top of it, it was my invite with my colleagues and families. It was successful evening! My guests enjoyed the service and the food, though I must say the dessert was wanting a bit after our great experience with dessert at The Plumed Horse in Saratoga. The wine was great and the service was great as well. Moussaka was perfect! So, were all the appetizers. However, I am not sure I will go back as I really like to have good dessert at the end and that was an area they fell short - didn't like the Greek Beignets."

There is a slight dress code, business casual, just no shorts and sandals allowed. Because the price is pretty high, plus the portions are small, we would only go for special occasions."

  • "The food at Dio Deka was absolutely amazing! Expensive, but worth it! We both had the lamb chops for our main course, and I could not fault one thing! The sauce and marinade made the meat taste like ambrosia. The potatoes were little, lemony and crisp! And the spinach was delightful. We had the lobster salad special for a starter, which was simply marvellous! And the ribs were great, too - but not as good as the lobster! We brought our own wine, but the wine list looked full and had a lot of variety. Highly recommend Dio Deka, but just know that our meal with two starters and two main courses and our own wine (with corkage charge) was over $200 for 2."

We had been warned about noise level, but it was fine perhaps because there were a couple empty tables near us. The dining room was a little darker than necessary. Outside seating with heat lamps looked desirable. Our waiter was attentive and made helpful recommendations. We loved everything we ordered: spinach phyllo pastry had a nice touch of dill; moussaka, grilled lamb chops. And happily, we saved room for dessert: burnt honey mousse (amazing!) and chocolate caramel tart. They were also thoughtful to add a couple beignets as an anniversary surprise. I would be delighted to come here again."

  • "Server was excellent he helped us with excellent wine choices to accompany our meal, he was pleasant and very informative. I enjoyed my lamb dinner more than my spouse enjoyed his rib eye. The rib eye was seasoned with some kind of mint seasoning and it threw off the beef taste for us. We loved our wines and lobster salad as our appetizer. We did not have dessert. It was kinda pricey but reasonable for a special night out."

  • "We went here for a special occasion as it's fairly expensive. The food was excellent. The noise level is too high and it's unfortunate because that is something they could do something about - the acoustics are horrid. The worst part was that although the service was ok at the beginning it became very poor. We were essentially ignored until we'd finished and waited for a while before the waiter came back to ask us if we wanted desert. At that point all we wanted was the check - and to not come back!"

  • "First time visit to Dio Deka and the experience was very good. Darryl took care of us expertly and was very gracious. Upon finding out it was our first time he brought perfectly cooked head on seasoned prawns. We split the Dolmathakia which was very savory with the beef cheek, complemented by the mushrooms and had a wonderful mouth feel. Amy ordered the Ktenia and the scallops were firm and not overcooked. The flavor of chanterelles and lemon were just enough to accent the sweet of the seared scallop. I ordered the Paithakia grilled lamb which was wonderfully medium rare with a flavorful oregano char. Dessert: traditional greek beignets. Darryl brought us glasses of paired wines and a dessert wine with coffee to finish. Awesome evening."
