  • "The food here is absolutely amazing! I would suggest making reservations because the place is always packed. I arrived 15 mins early and they sat my party right away. We waited a while for our appetizers to come, but the place was insanely crowded. One of our apps was on the house because it arrived with our main course. I can't even recommend a specific dish, you just can't go wrong here."

  • "My husband and son really love ribs so we have been going here pretty regularly since it opened. This is the first time I made an actual reservation which I did because the last two time we went the wait was 1 1/2 - 2 hours! But once seated noone is rushing you to finish quickly. We like the atmosphere, the food delivers: ribs, brisket, wings. There is a good selection of beers and the cocktails are outstanding. I especially like the Classic Manhattan."

  • "This is the 2nd time that my hubby and I have visited Dino BBQ. Each time we received impeccable service. Our waiters were courteous and patient and quick to serve our orders. Despite the huge crowd we were seated almost immediately (once during a week night and another time on a busy Saturday evening). One bit of advice-make a reservation on the weekend-they honor it. Otherwise you will have to wait hours to be seated. The food is awesome if you live bar-b-que. The ribs were great as well as the potato salad and Mac and cheese. It's a great hangout with friends or with your significant other. And dont forget to try their seasonal drink the "Donkey Punch"-Yummm!"

  • "My friend from Texan walked past DInosaur BBQ when it first opened and knew it was going to be good. She smelled the burning wood, apparently a must for BBQ. She was right. There are even choices on the menu for vegetarians: the sides are great, and they took the pork out of the kate and black eyed peas dish (I guess they got complaints). Great beer list too. A bit high on the noise, but it's a large place and lots of kids and my partner and I could still hear each other. They usually mess up the order in some small way, so remember what you ordered. It's probably to your advantage since they let you keep what was brought as well as the original order. This has happened 75% of the time with me. Need reservation! Long waits."

  • "3rd trip 2 Dino BBQ-Bk from Qns, tried their lunch. Certainly more quiet than dinner time, but that didn't take away from the awesome food. Had the Chili Jalapeno burger, cooked to perfection, juicy, messy & very delicious. Service was attentive as ever, HOWEVER, when I made my reservation I sent a msg thru OpenTable asking 4 specific server, even stated I would be willing 2 change my reservation date/time. Dinosaur NEVER, EVER bothered 2 respond. When I arrived was told that they had read my request. IT WAS NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED! BAD move! This should NOT be taken as a neg remark of this visit's server. FIRST NEGATIVE COMMENT ABOUT DINO BBQ. I'm specifically traveling from Qns, 2 eat there & I want a special server I should be accommodated."

  • "Tuesday was my first time, and it was so good, went back again Friday. The best steak I've ever had. The best Mac and cheese I've ever had. For $21 for a decent sized skirt steak and two sides, that's a bargain these days in the boroughs. The fried green tomatoes were a tasty appetizer. Friday night was busy, so get a reservation. Service was attentive, friendly, and prompt. Still salivating just writing this review. This place is a gem in Brooklyn. Definitely worth the drive from Long Island."

  • "I finally found a BBQ joint that lived up to it's hype. I can't wait to go back. The prices were reasonable, the staff was warm and happy, the food outstanding. They even had my favorite beer, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Beer. The only disappointing thing was that my corn bread was bland and a bit stale but I will forgive them for that. I loved the decor and that the seats were not on top of one another. I can't wait to go back. Definitely make reservations though. It gets very crowded."

  • "I've been to this restaurant few times and every time the food was great. The sides were plate-licking as well, it was hard to choose. It is best to have a larger group that can order a large variety of food and share with each other to get a taste of everything. Seating was a little cramped since it's so popular, but waiters are very accommodating to make up for it. Reservations are definitely needed due to it's scarce number of chain restaurants."

  • "Had a reservation for 10pm Saturday night; we arrived right as the live band started to play - perfect timing and great tunes. We were in a group of 5, had the appetizer sampler and the family bbq combo, which would have been just barely enough had we not ordered extra wings upon tasting them as part of the appetizer. I'm a big wing fan, and they were the best I've ever had. We ordered more as soon as we tasted them. The ribs, chicken, and brisket were all outstanding as well. Sides too. I have literally nothing to complain about, except maybe the somewhat slow service but that's forgivable because the place was totally packed."

  • "Made reservation from my phone 5 mins before entering the restaurant . A woman before me, party of 2 , was told it would be 20 to 40 mins wait. My party of 3 was seated immediately. It was 10:30 pm. It was my 4X. Food was great as usual, service was perfect. The music was inviting. The people next to us came in about 10:50pm. Rest. Ran out of ribs. There are good substitutes, but I come for the ribs. I felt bad for them. Lesson here. Reserve and come early."

  • "I grew up with Dino in Syracuse so I was elated when they moved in just a couple blocks away from me. Of course the original will always have my heart, but the Brooklyn location offers great BBQ and an outstanding menu and has proven quite helpful during the winter months when BBQ is difficult. The staff is great and service is lightning quick."

  • "We went to see what all the hype was. Thanks to opentable we were seated within 5 min in a packed house We ordered the family sample plate that feed 4-6 and we where a party of 3. We didn't plan to over order but really wanted to taste a variety of meats and sides. The very good was that the meats were all great including ribs, chicken, brisket and pulled pork. The brisket didn't need the shredded Jalapeño peppers. The dry rub had enough taste. The almost good so go was the sides. The mashed pototoes, Mac and cheese were both good but had the same seasoning. The only bad was the cole slaw. It was a plate of vinegar and the cabbage needed to cure a few more days. But heck we went for meat and it didn't disappoint. We plan to return."

  • "My last visit to the restaurant was in Jan 2014, & I was surprised that Richard remembered me from that visit: I was celebrating my birthday and told Rich about it plus the fact that I'm a Dinosaur in the world of Emergency Medical Service and felt an immediate attraction just by the name connection. Don't assume that influences my reviews: I work hard for my money & don't waist it. Not disappointed. This trip: The food was just as delicious as ever. The fish special was just awesome-not greasy at all. The Devil's Duo did overcome the fish's delicate flavor, using the tartar sauce was fine. Being a BBQ joint I just had to order a 1/4-slab of ribs and I wasn't disappointed in its succulent taste. Made up using the Devil's Duo with the ribs."
