"The food was excellent...fresh, perfectly cooked, flavorful. However, the service was not good. This was a special occasion for someone's birthday, made advance reservations and arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes before reserved time only to find out that our table has been given away because someone came with a stroller and needed extra space.So we had to wait more than 30 minutes to be seated on a Thursday night while seeing a few 4 person tables empty this entire time.And then had to wait for the waitress for EVERYTHING...place an order, get food, desert, check...while she was standing around clearly not doing much.She came by 40 mins into the meal and said "oh I wanted to ask how everything is but I see you're already done eating"."

"I was going on a date, and we were both in the mood for steak so I was "put in charge" of finding a new place to try- i came upon this one. The decor and atmosphere was romantic and very cute, but did not seem to stuffy for a nice restaurant. It was old school looking, very hoboken-like and definitely belonged in the neighborhood. The hostess was very nice and asked if we had a preference of what table we were seated at. The waitress arrived at our table promptly and kept returning within a timely manner. We were impressed with the food- must try the bacon appetizer! Our meals came out with just enough time inbetween apps and the main entree. Overall, we were both impressed with everything. I definitely recommend!"

"Across the board fantastic! Bone in porterhouse and lamb chops (we got three chops, four is HUGE as we learned on our last visit), were perfectly cooked and outstanding. Salmon tartare was light and tasty. Sprouts and pancetta (I think that's what it was) were seriously ridiculously amazing. Oysters and clams were fresh as-can-be and delicious. After I mentioned my fancy for mashed potatoes, but didn't want to over do it, our sweet waitress offered us a 1/2 order.

Quiet Sunday night, only a few tables, mellow and great for date-night. Waitress was attentive, but didn't over do it. So friendly, knowledgable and welcoming. Great wine list, all price ranges. We did the $50 Sterling cabernet sauvignon and it was great."

"The food and service was excellent. Our wait person was very attentive and accommodating throughout the entire time we sat there. I would definitely recommend it, the bill for 6 of us was about $620 with 2 bottles of wine (gratuity included)."

"Haven't been there in years but went the other night. I ordered the filet and my friend had the porterhouse and our food rocked! Really terrifc. Sides of potatos au gratin and string beans were really good too. Bar scene is cool and piano player adds a sophisticated touch. Would definetly recommend to others and go back myself."

"Our only comment is dinner seemed to take forever to come out. Other tables that sat near use and came in later were havin dessert as we were served our main course."
