Welcome! Dilly Cafe's an independent, family-owned restaurant with a 26 year history in the National Historic Landmark Village of Mariemont, Ohio, just east of downtown Cincinnati along Rt.50, also known as Wooster Pike. We have grown into a full-service, contemporary American bistro-style eatery recognized as having one of the best wine and beer programs in the country. Indeed, Wine Spectator Magazine has awarded us their "Best of Award of Excellence" award two years in a row (with a special recognition for value!) Both RateBeer.com and BeerAdvocate.com have recognized our draft and retail beer selections as among the best in the world. And ah, the food! From fresh grilled salmon fillet, to Ohio-made pastas, to grilled filet mignon, to our signature Grilled Shrimp & Asparagus Salad (a CityBeat Magazine "Best" winner!), every hungry diner is sure to find that special meal that hits the spot. Diner Reviews
  • "Have eaten here for years. This last experience was not a good one. Ordered a Mediterannean plate; one of the 5 offered items was missing. They were out of it. Never mentioned it. The seasoning mentioned in the description of the pita bread was omitted. The feta and red peppers (diced) each would fill one tablespoon. Ordered the special soup of the evening: tomato. Tasted as if they had opened a can of diced tomatoes in juice. My husband's crab cake dinner (he always orders this) consisted of three tiny cakes, and 3 shriveled up, charred little asparagus. The gin he always orders? They were out of that. Spoke with the manager and learned they have a new chef."

  • "Husband and I were looking for a new spot for a date night dinner. The food was great. We had the beer cheese appitizer with apple slices. We would also recommend the burboun burger and the black bean burger!"

  • "Enjoyed a nice meal - a wonderful striped bass preparation for me and my husband was extremely happy with his side salad, burger and sweet potato fries, uniquely served with apple butter. That was a surprising and delicious combination."

  • "Had a wonderful lunch the other day when an old friend was in from out of town. We used to come here for lunch so it was a special treat. You've really got to try the Mariemont Gobbler!"

  • "Thursdays are always one of my favorite nights here. Steve plays jazz guitar loud enough to hear yet soft enough to continue a conversation. What a nice complement to the always very good food, drink and service! This night I enjoyed again the Chicken Marsala: Excellent! Know that they've started doing some enticing prix fixe dinners too."

  • "I have dined here before, and enjoyed the tuna steak. I tried the salmon burger this time, and my boyfriend tried the roast beef sandwich. Neither of us were impressed. We were happy with the selection of Pull N Pray beers and the cider list, however, so all was not lost."

  • "Dilly Cafe is always an enjoyable experience. We went on a Saturday night for dinner and enjoyed a very good meal as well as a great jazz band whose sounds did not overwhelm the space, but provided the perfect ambience to allow converstation while also enjoying the music. The basa appetizer was unusual and delicious, and the almond bread pudding was divine. In milder weather we always enjoy dining outside near the fireplace."

  • "My husband and I split the cheese tray for an appetizer, then we split the goat cheese and beet salad, then we split the salmon entree. All was great. We had a very nice bottle of Pouilly Fusse wine. Highly recommend this little neighborhood gem."

  • "Food was mostly excellent, special requests readily accommodated.Only complaint, ribeye was saturated in A-1 sauce..."

  • "Dilly Deli is a cute, casual restaurant in the heart of historic Mariemont. I have often enjoyed wine and dinner on the patio in the warmer months. However on this occasion, the ambiance was regrettable. We were seated on the edge of the dining area right next to a very loud group of family and friends that were spilling over into the neighboring areas. Several small children were running around. I was actually hit in the arm by a flying bracelet from one of the rambunctious girls. I ordered the nicoise salad with seared fresh tuna. There were fresh greens, tasty shallot vinaigrette, sinew-free, warm tuna. Perfect. Also green beans, hard-boiled eggs, and tomato. My husband enjoyed the beer-battered fish fry and a dark beer."

  • "Overall a very good experience, food was good and the atmosphere was also very good. The prices are also good and the wine and beer selection was excellent. You cannot beat the Dilly Café. We had a group of 9 and service was prompt and the food came out on time."

  • "Mom enjoyed her quiche and I, my chicken Marsala. Mom found a wine that was sweet enough for her in a Riesling. For me, Old Rasputin on tap is a winner."

  • "We gave the Dilly another chance after being very disappointed of late. While the food was better, the service was slow and not all the beer on the menu was available. Still not the restaurant it used to be."

  • "Weather had been horrible for the past few days so the turnout was a bit lower than usual. Food and service were great and as always Steve on guitar fantastic. Mariemont Gobbler was great. I don't know anywhere else that uses cranberry chutney. Chicken Marsala over potatoes was fantastic. First time I tried it!"

  • "Wonderful evening! Our server Matt was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and beer/wine list. We don't live very far from the Dilly Deli, so we will be back :-D"

  • "If you are looking for "fine dining ambience" look elsewhere. If you want great food this is the place for you. The pan seared salmon was fantastic, perfectly cooked and presented. The rib eye I had was grilled to perfection and the smashed potatoes were a great side. The cheese plate we had as an appetizer was the perfect way to prepare for the main course. It was our first but not our last visit."

  • "Very good food, friendly management. I sent back my entree to have it rewarmed and they ended up taking it off my bill."

  • "This place is too crowed and hard to find. Service was horrible and I noticed that they used the microwave a lot. Our waitress gave us the wrong bill and well we just won't go back."
