DijonGreat food, great archtecture! This restaurant is housed in the old Fire House #1. The food was really fantastic! And they have a wonderful courtyard/patio!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food¡Loved the restaurant. It is in an old renovated firehouse . Great atmosphere. The food was very good but the service was very slow. It seemed like maybe they were shorthanded that night. Will definitely go back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNice surprise! We enjoyed a great dinner with a fried oyster salad, sweet potato soup, shrimp maquachoux, chocolate mousse. Service was prompt and friendly. The open space felt very spacious yet still cozy. Good experience all around.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FindGreat original food with very friendly service. Even when busy the Dijon kept up with the crowd. Great desserts, which we fought over, followed a wonderful meal with fresh ingredients and innovative flavor combinations. Our server knew the menu, knew the chef's talents, and provided excellent recommendations combined with friendly efficient service. We highly recommend Dijon5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMTable for 9The food was outstanding. Nine people and everyone enjoyed each dish from appetizers to desserts. The charcuterie and cheese plates were reasonably priced and tasty but we should of have had two of one or the other so that they went around the table. Service was a bit spotty (too attentive or missing) but we were there for each other so it wasn't a problem. Wine list was good but not extensive. The one flaw is the acoustics are tough given it's a large room with forty foot ceilings. Difficult to be heard from one end of the table to the other especially when several large tables were seated after us. A good selection of daily specials so even regulars can vary things. I will certainly return.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food but........This was our second time at Dijon in three days. We came back because we love the food. The chef is amazing and makes up for the disorganization at the front end. They only had two wait staff on a busy night, one of whom was very inexperienced. The owner was running around in a panic but did not manage the small crew he had working. If it wasn't for the chef and his amazing dishes, I would not go back, but I will only for the food. I hope they get their act together before its too late.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMDijon was wonderful! I wouldDijon was wonderful! I would highly recommend this restaurant. I got the steak and my husband got the gulf fish of the day. This is absolutely a hidden gem.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMbeautiful, took too longService was way too slow, but the food and setting were worth it.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExceeded high expectationsI had been there before a and was bringing my parents back. I had high expectations which were totally exceeded. Dijon is now on my dot miss while in New Orleans lost.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat off beaten track findWe had a wonderful dinner at Dijons. It is outside of the French Quarter, so you get some peace and quiet after the madness in town. The evening was wonderful with a great menu, interesting cocktails, and very generous portions! We will definitely go back next time we get to the big easy.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMHEAVEN in my mouthOne of the best meals I have ever put in my mouth. Oyster special was to die for. HEAVEN in my mouth. Was not crowded at all what a shame. Loved the old fire station setting.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMJust try it!Had a great brunch at Dijon last weekend. Friends had been there and told me that it was great, and they were not wrong. Based on a quick chat with the owner, it sounds like they switched chefs about 6 months ago, and I can tell you that the new chef is great.
We started with oysters and a charcuterie plate (both of which were out of this world - the pork rillette was especially good). Then the shrimp, mushroom and gruyere omlette was great, and the steak and eggs were delicious as well.
Bottom line is that if you tried this restaurant when it opened and weren't thrilled, give it another chance, and if you haven't tried it at all, definitely give it a shot. Amazing ambiance, great food and great service make it a can't miss!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for a relaxingGreat place for a relaxing Sunday Brunch with aweseome food.

The food is creative without being fussy. The chef keeps the menu simple but everything is full of flavor. Service was good and we were never rushed. We'll definitely be back.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMUnpretentious, great service...Unpretentious, great service... try the oysters salad with kale! Great to be sitting in an old fire truck station. Cost me $80 with a beer, glass of wine and 3-course dinner with tip. Santé!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI don't know how we hadn'tI don't know how we hadn't heard about Dijon until now. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is excellent. The tables are spread out so that you don't feel like you are on top of another party or hearing their conversation. Lots of variety on the menu.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasantly surprised; new GemOur first time at Dijon. The fried oyster salad with toasted kale was amazing! The ambiance inside the old firehouse was dramatic and comforting at the same time. Great service and terrific menu. We will be back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGREAT !!Dijon is in an old warehouse space. It is open and beautiful. There is gorgeous indoor and outdoor seating. They play great music for ambiance. The dishes are inventive. We had a Pan Roasted Wild Striped Bass with braised carrots, sauteed squash, kale and carol ginger emulsion. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Everyone should give them a try!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was elegant and theThe food was elegant and the decor was very interesting--a refurbished firehouse.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a find!We had been in NOLA a week and were looking for a change from the old-school places. Group of 8--3 adults, 5 kids. Wanted something tasty, new, contemporary, sophisticated but family-friendly. Dijon was perfect. Beautiful room, terrific food, interesting and creative cocktails and wine list, really friendly service. I can't believe this place isn't packed to the rafters every night like Coquette or Lilette or any of Spicer's places. I think it is definitely in the same class.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDo not miss this place! BestDo not miss this place! Best food I have had in over a year. Everything fantastic-imaginative and prepared with care and precision. Flounder was perfect and cinnamon cured tuna was interesting as well as delicious. Lovely space-old renovated firehouse. Much better food than anything I have eaten in the French Quarter.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMService was excellent. TheService was excellent. The oyster salad was the best. My wife's hangar steak was excellent and my flounder was very tasty.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe tried this restaurant withWe tried this restaurant with a Living Social gift certificate. The atmosphere in the tastefully-converted old firehouse is truly lovely, and the softly-lighted courtyard just outside was also inviting, though we opted to eat inside due to the weather. Service was friendly and attentive. The oyster salad and crawfish boudin balls were excellent appetizers, but the fish entree was lacking in dimension and mainly tasted of butter and salt. Portions were very generous and the chicory coffee creme brulee was excellent. Overall the experience was enjoyable and I will certainly be back again.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Brunch!Came here for brunch recently. When we arrived we were the only two people there, but I kind of enjoyed that.
We chose a sunny table by the huge arched entrance, which was slightly open, allowing a nice breeze to flow through the restaurant. The music they had on was great- some old jazz and r & b , perfect for a Sunday morning.
Our server was fantastic- attentive but not hovering.
We started with a cocktail and mimosa ( bottomless mimosas for $12 is a steal!) and the server brought out biscuits with jam and butter. On their own the biscuits were phenomenal, but with the beet jam were downright sinful. The meal only got better- apps were my favorite- roasted oysters are a must try...3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMManager was very personableManager was very personable and wait staff very attentive.
