This year, we were led to A Different Pointe of View. Everything was special and delicious, just as one would hope for a celebratory occasion. A welcome surprise was the service provided by Luis. He gave the right amount of suggestions for courses, wine and timing - all with a sense of humor one would not expect from such a fine restaurant. We shared the Short Ribs Ravioli and Steamed Cedar Creek Clams as 2 courses. My husband savored the Coffee Brown Sugar Seared Pork Tenderloin, while I especially enjoyed Luis's suggestion of Grilled Cedar River Marinated Hanger Steak. My one complaint: the clam broth was underseasoned. We decided to try it again for a special birthday celebration dinner for my Mom (this was a favorite for my Mom & Dad when Etienne ran the restaurant). I had timed the reservation so we would see the sunset. Unfortunately our table was not ready when we arrived so we missed the sunset!! Food was good. We felt a little rushed by our waiter who was standing by and seemed anxious to go home. The restaurant is beautiful and will try it again at a later date. It also happened to be Phoenix Restaurant week which was a nice surprise. We we both able to choose between various appetizers, main entrees and desserts that were being showed from their menu for a$39 each. We also ordered the scallop appetizer which was by far our favorite part of the meal. The food was fresh, flavorful and proportioned for a fine dining restaurant. As an added touch, they put chocolate pieces reading "Happy Anniversary" on our dessert AND brought my husband a glass of champagne and me a glass of sparkling cider (I'm pregnant). The Lobster Bisque, Bread and Pesto, Fillet , Shrimp and Trout are amazing too. Portions are enough, but not so much that you have ridiculous amounts of leftovers.
