This was our first time here, I had the blackened chicken and shrimp salad and my wife had the salmon salad. The portions were great and the prices were reasonable. We were looking for a place that would be energetic, moderately priced and fun to have lunch after the ceremony. My oldest daughter had eaten at Dexter's once before and suggested that we make a reservation. It was the perfect place for us to come. We had a reservation for 8 and then had to up it to 11. It was no problem for the change. Our waiter was very patient with us and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My family will definitely come back as well as recommend Dexter's to our friends. The pork w/Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower with cheese sauce (usually served with purple mash, but wasn't available) was excellent! Had the chicken cutlet - two large pieces that were very good. Also had the bacon-wrapped meatloaf which was excellent. Be careful not to fill up on the fries - my wife and I split the appetizer and it was almost a meal in itself. Prices no higher than you would pay at Carraba's or Red Lobster. I was a bit surprised that there were tables open at 7 pm on a Saturday night. That got me worried - guys please don't go to a big chain restaurant when unique places like this need your business and give you a better value.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
