We arrived early for our reservation, but the hostess seated us right away, and the waiter immediately offered a complimentary glass of champagne to help us begin our celebration. The food was amazing, the drinks were great, and the ambiance was a lot of fun. Our waiter was patient and kind, answering questions and offering advice. This is absolutely a restaurant I would recommend for happy hour, or a nice dinner. Anyway, food was always good, server was friendly and attentive to when we need drinks or something else without us having to ask for it, atmosphere was always nice. Great location to hangout and see who comes through as well. We dined upstairs this time instead of downstairs since it was more happy hour that turned into dinner. Food was only 4 stars this round, still great main courses, but appetizers were a little cold, particularly my bisque this time. Not met by the usual friendly professional Hostesses on reception; maybe because we were too early for the usual team. Food is very good indeed. Service is excellent and server Tameka is absolutely superb. Atmosphere in the restaurant is cool and refined with a very nice eclectic mix of patrons. Fine separate dining areas , almost Japanese in outward appearance but without having to sit cross legged on the floor! The wine room is also excellent for good sized parties incorporating a higher degree of privacy. Devon Seafood's Tuna Tartare makes a great appetizer and the Seafood Mixed Grill or Seared Ahi Tuna make excellent entrees. The servings are huge. They have a great gumbo that I sent back half finished because I didn't want to be tempted to finish it and not be able to enjoy my entree. The rainbow trout, simply grilled, was outstanding and I even ate most of my vegetables. My wife's crab cake entree was exceptional -- baked, not fried -- and as tasty as her homemade. We ordered carrot cake with two forks, ate our fill and had enough left over for three more people. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The menu offers wide selection of appetizers, main courses and side dishes. th Vietnamese spring rolls were superb, our group had crab cakes and grilled Baramundi, an Australian delicious fish. The desserts we had were excellet, creme burlee and fresh berries. The service was attentive without being intrusive and we had a delightful experience.
