The food at Devon is delicious-- this is my family's go-to restaurant when we visit the area. The quality of food is consistently high, though the quality to cost ratio is a bit off. This last visit, we went to Devon twice. The Sunday night visit was marred by an unhelpful server. My mother ordered the lobster rolls as an appetizer, and was unable to get a whole forkful of lobster in either of the rolls. She brought this up with the server. Rather than simply accepting the criticism or recommending an alternate course of action, the server defended the kitchen and stated that they portion every item very carefully. As my mother had ordered two starters as an entree, this was particularly unhelpful. My scallops were over-seared as well.

Never frozen always excellent. However on Sunday at noon the serice was below par. We have been going to Devon for several years and always enjoyed food and the service was never like today. We sat a longer than usual time before the server cane to ask us for our drink order, The biscuits were not served until the mug of coffee was finished, The waiter took our order and I asked that my appetizer and salad be served when my husband's dinner was served but he served my salad right away. Our dinner was very slow coming. The kitchen was slow. We had to wait for coffee refill too long. We have never had this experience before.

Prices were more expensive on the bill, didn't match the menu price. My mixed seafood grill had a strong grill taste and over powered the seafood and fish flavor. Our bill was $145.00 for 3 of us and we didn't even order any alcohol. Our server was outstanding!

Our visit to Devon Seaford was a pleasant surprise since we did not know what to expect. The food was amazing along with great service and wine to match. The fish could not be fresher and the homemade biscuits were outstanding. This occasion was a business dinner and despite that the restaurant was very busy we could still enjoy our conversation across the table. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion requiring great food all the way.

I hosted a business dinner with a customer on Tuesday evening. Alyssa was our server and she was awesome. The perfect amount of attention, given that we were having discussions. The menu offered an amazing variety. All of our food, raw oysters, chipotle grilled shrimp for appetizers, and entrees were absolutely perfect....not to mention the wine! We couldn't have asked for a better choice of restaurant and we were happy to have Alyssa as our server! Definitely will be returning on another business trip to the area!

Once again Devon Seafood, you did not disappoint! Fantastic food, great service (Henry you rocked), good timing on getting the food and drinks out, what more can I say! My tuna steak was cooked to perfection - rare plus. My hubby's swordfish was delish also along with the Parmesan roasted Yukon gold potatoes, asparagus, and charred artichoke. The dipping sauce was lemony, tangy and fresh. Kuddos to Devon Seafood.

celebrating our 60th anniversary, service was good, it was just the two of us, my food was fair, had parrot fish, very bland and not seasoned at all, my husband had to send his salmon back it was not done to his liking, the fish was raw inside. We thought it a bit pricey. We have been to the Devon before and had good experience, but this time it was disappointing.

My wife and I tried Devon for Sunday brunch after having good experiences at lunch & dinner. While it was largely empty, the food was terrific and the mimosas weren't bad either. I would recommend the eggs Benedict with salmon. My wife's waffles & berries looked great too.

Most everything was very good or better with the exception of one key part. My steak was very undercooked. The waitress was agreeable and supportive and suggested putting it back on the grill, but everyone knows the unwritten rule of not sending food back. She even suggested a new steak prepared but i wanted to eat with my wife, not by myself. No matter the solution, it was an inconvenience and I believe some other compensation should have been offered, but was'nt and I was'nt going to ask. Top notch customer service would have made another offer to entice me to come back, like reduced meal or gift card, but i will likely not return. Prices too high not to get things right the first time or make adequate resolution when not.

We have been to Devon at least 10 times, with mixed results. (We are local residents.) Lunch specials have always been excellent; a good value. Dinners, on the other hand, have been fair. The Tuna Tartare appetizer is excellent. We had Oysters Rockefeller and Mussels in wine & garlic. The oysters were either VERY small or chopped into the sauce. The mussels were tiny. The mixed drinks were light on alcohol. Seafood is over-priced. The service has always been excellent. The room is too dark; open the blinds. Go but select your dishes carefully. Recommend, with reservations.

As we drove to Devon, we had already has a wonderful day... but on the drive there, I'd commented how wonderful it would be to have Alyssa as our waitress. This was so very unlikely, since we'd not seen her in so many visits, that we'd decided that we had no chance to see her. As we were seated, we saw someone who reminded me of Alyssa, though she clearly was not her. Imagine our surprise when she walked up and greeted us... making it a wonderful, delightful experience.

We chose Devon for our anniversary dinner. Our table was not ready at our reservation time of 8pm and we were told we would have to wait awhile if we wanted to sit in the dining room instead of a bar table. The seats were too cushioned making the table about chest level. The restaurant was fairly dark and very noisy. The service was exceptional, although we were only offered one serving of bread while other tables were offered bread more than once. The food quality was great, however the preparation was disappointing. Most fresh catches were prepared very basic, and I chose a seared ahi tuna that may have hit the pan for 5 seconds. My husband and I both agreed that it was a disappointment and we will not likely return.

The menu was so ecletic that everyone enjoyed their meal from a nana who is 66 to a 3 year old. The food was tasty, served in a short time, and the servings were appropriate. I rather have good food than lots of poor tasting food. The appetizers might be a meal in themselves and the macarroni with lobster was fantastic. They know how to make a great lemon drop and the bourbons and scotches are to be found in five star restaurants.

We went to dinner at Devon Seafood (a 1 1/2 hr. trip for us) specifically because of the August promotion for striped bass. However, we were disappointed to learn that they were out of it the day we drove there. The fish we were served was way overcooked and dry. We will not return.

I love Devon. I have been multiple times & always have received excellent service. However, this past time I was extremely disappointed. The waitress never came back to see if we needed anything or to ask how our food was. We had to flag down one of the staff passing out the biscuits to get us drink refills or we never would have received any. I understand everyone is busy, but for what I pay when I go to Devon (which I have always thought worth it), I expect good service.

Took our college-bound daughters to brunch on Sunday at 2 pm. We received friendly attention but did ask among ourselves several times--where's our server? The food quality was average. Salmon was advertised as being cooked to a medium rare but arrived well done. Wild mushrooms were not cooked to order also as advertised. Sweet biscuits were very crunchy. Heirloom salad arrived with basil ice cream as advertised which was tasty but melted when my hot food arrived before the salad was finished leaving the greens swimming in a pool of liquid. Basil creme fraiche maybe better? Quailty and price didn't add up. Will try another time--------later.
