  • Private Party Facilities: Our private event room is located upstairs in the back of our mezzanine lounge, and overlooks our park inspired dining room below. Complete with a skylight, fireplace, and flat screen television, the mezzanine lounge is the perfect place for office happy hours, birthday parties, and all special occasions. This section can accommodate upwards of 50 people, and has easy access to the main bar.

  • "I have enjoyed brunch here a few times. Its my go to for weekends with friends when I want something more low-key than my other favorites Parc and Distrito. Brunch is southern/tex-mex inspired provided warm comfort food that isn't over the top with both a buffet and al carte offerings. Didn't get much of a greeting or attention from the hostess upon arrival but the waiter was attentive even as the place started to liven up."

Luckily, it also happened to be restaurant week in Philadelphia, so I had the added bonus of enjoying four courses of Devil's Alley meals. Each course was great! I still remember how delicious each course was- especially the scallops and dry rub wings appetizers! The mixed drinks were enjoyable as well- not too strong and tasty. Overall, great meal, great experience for a reasonable price."

  • "Don't ever go there for restaurant week. Or ever. Horrible horrible service. We had a reservation for 8pm and didn't get seated till 8:40. I had to check with the hostess 2 times before we even were seated. They were the absolute worst. We spent 3 hours there because they cooked the food so slow. The waitress knew nothing about the menu and they ran out of everything and 5 times came over to the table saying they ran out of whatever and we had to pick another choice. Would never recommend this restaurant for anyone."

  • "Originally I went to Devil's Alley with a friend for Restaurant Week, but after experiencing their wonderful food and service, I will definitely go back for a special occasion dinner! The food was first and foremost DELICIOUS! I cannot believe they perfectly blended the taste of a loaded baked potato into soup form... SOUP FORM. That is unheard of, and it was mouthwatering good. Also, I tried their tempura fried tofu (it was my first time eating tofu) and it was amazing! The service was incredible, everyone was very nice and patient I recommended that place to all of my college friends for restaurant week and just to go there in general!"

  • "The restaurant week food was different from the normal menu. We thought the chef was trying to show that he could prepare more than just pub food, and he succeeded quite well. Everything was prepared well, appeared artistically, and was delicious. If they have the same level of food as in restaurant week, than we would certainly stop there again and recommend it. The only down side was that on the specials board it stated that white and red wine was $4 during happy hour when we were there. There were no exceptions noted, however when our bill came we were charged the full $9 a glass. We were told that that wine was not part of the happy hour wine special. It would have been good to be told beforehand or have it noted on the specials board."

We also had to send our bacon (2 orders) back to have it cooked more. It was not done when they brought it out. I'll go back for the beer and the blt, but not for breakfast/brunch."

  • "I ordered my salmon BLT cooked medium. The salmon was cooked done and the bacon was medium, just the reverse of what I wanted. My dining partner had a entree salad which she loved. Our pretty server was annoying, less than 10 seconds after our entrees arrived, she broke into our conversation to ask how the food tasted! She asked 2 more times later about the food, even though we were in a conversation. Don't servers know visual cues?"

  • "My boyfriend and I loved this place. The food is american comfort food and you can never really complain about that. We started with cocktails--my pomegranate sangria was super tasty. We also had the special appetizer--short rib quesadilla...it was so good. I had the grilled cheese with bacon and apple and the spicy fries. I loved this dish--a modern twist on a classic. My boyfriend had the pulled pork which he also really enjoyed but was kind of impossible to eat! Overall great pricing and great food. We will be back!"

  • "Visitor to Philly. Recommended by friend. Greeted warmly. Seated at small table. We asked to sit at a booth. No problem. Waitress was efficient and told us drink and food specials. Very good food served hot. Nice atmosphere and talking level good. After leaving hostess called us to tell us we had left glasses behind. That was an advantage of booking online. They had our contact number and called us when we were two blocks from the restaurant. Nice service! Thank you."

  • "I made a reservation at Devil's Alley for lunch on a Friday at 11:45 before Christmas. When I got there, the place was deserted and I was wondering if the reservation was really necessary. However, within a half hour there wasn't a seat left in the place. The service was fantastic despite the crowd. They have a very good selection of beers on tap. I have a blood mary which was super tasty and garnished with green olives. I had the Cuban sandwich which came with fries. My friend who had been there before told me the burgers can't be beat. Salads looked fresh and crisp. The fries weren't the greatest, but passable. Would totally recommend Devil's Alley for a working day lunch."

The buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent with a tangy sauce, both melted and blue cheese, and even crispy bacon. Spicy fries were a good complement. The burger was cooked perfectly. Sweet potato fries were awesome. They even had a kids menu. Delivered on all accounts, good food, decent price, and quick service."

  • "My husband and I were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel for a casual dinner. After reading the reviews, we chose Devil's Alley. We were seated at a table near the front window next to the curtain that separated us from the entryway. The noise level was high even though we were away from the majority of diners. Tables were arranged a bit too close together. The service was OK but not exceptional. The smoked brisket sandwich was disappointing and needed something to give it more flavor. The grilled half chicken was OK. The roasted veggies and sweet potatoes were quite good. The restaurant was crowded at 7pm on a Saturday night, so clearly others had a better experience than we did."

  • "My mom visited for the weekend and I wanted to take her to a unique spot in the city that wasn't too pricey. This was the perfect place! We had a reservation so we were seated right away but I don't think a reservation was necessary even on a busy Saturday night (with the exception of large groups). Even though our waitress was extremely busy, the service was great and our food came out really quickly. The food was excellent and the portions were so large that we had enough to take home for dinner the next night. Overall, if you're looking for a causal night out in a unique Philly restaurant, Devil's Alley is the place!"

  • "We had been to Devil's Alley for brunch before, most recently just a month ago and had a great experience with nice food and beverages and pleasant competent service. Not this time. We were seated a minute after the table next to us. It was over 15 minutes before the server approached the tables and took drink orders and another before she came back, without drinks, and took food orders. The party of 4 next to us got up and left when a half hour after ordering, they still hadn't gotten their coffee. We waited and 35 minutes after we ordered got drinks that had obviously been sitting forgotten on the bar. Food came another 10 minutes later with eggs prepared incorrectly and no silverware until we asked for it. Shoddy and disappointing."
