Even got my kids to eat asparagus (beer battered quick fried). We have eaten here many times and have enjoyed everything. Great food, great atmosphere, and great drinks - they are a brewery after all. Not terribly pricey for the quality you're getting, and despite its fancy exterior, the dress code is pretty casual (going-out casual, not sweat-pants casual). The servers were very friendly and willing to offer suggestions both times. I made reservations for 2 because I wasn't sure how busy it would be on a Sunday evening, but it was not crowded when we arrived. Their beer menu is large and I liked the option of a 4oz glass so I could try a new beer without committing to a larger glass. The first time I visited I had their veggie burger which was delicious! This time I had their Turkey burger. I thought the burger was a little bland. Banana cream pie for dessert was so good! Other members of my group enjoyed top notch martini's. The appetizers were unique and very good. Our main meals were served timely and were a perfect 10. The service was flawless. Our reservation was for 5:30 and we were seated by 5:35. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Fabulous bar with a sophisticated vibe. I am not a beer drinker but the gentleman next to me said the beer selection was great and fresh. (not just a lot of beers, so they can call themselves a microbrewery) A lot of people were eating at the bar, which is fun. For dinner, I had the cassoulet, which was good. I wish I would have had a burger like my daughter did. She said it was great. I will definitely return. Started with Raspberry Wheat Ale-light fruity taste. We split a Strawberry Goat Cheese Salad and a Bacon Cheese Burger. The balsamic dressing and candied cashews make this salad so fresh and unique!
The Bacon & Cheeseburger was done perfectly, the bun was toasted just right and who doesn't like bacon?!? We split the banana cream pie-the carmelized bananas are delicious! Our server, Bill, was attentive and fun! He made great recommendations to our party. We will certainly go back soon! The menu offered a variety of choices and the vanilla/cinnamon french toast was very good. There was enough for me to enjoy at the restaurant and again the next day at home. We went on Easter Sunday, and had made a reservation. We were seated almost immediately. Our waiter was exceptional, thus making this experience better than the food or the time it took to get our food. We are very patient when dining out. We are not the type to make a fuss or be demanding as we understand there are variables that can cause a less than perfect experience. However, we we were warned by our waiter that tickets were running 40 minutes, and he did kindly offer to put in our order as soon as we were ready to get it in the works. We wish our meal took 40 minutes, as it actually took 70 minutes. Destihl's cooks are great and it's nice that the restaurant recognizes that by giving them opportunities to pursue new creations. My girlfriend loved the Valentine's Day martini. Keep it up.2/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff were very welcoming,The staff were very welcoming, though we had to wait 10-15min. for our table even though we had a reservation; this could be due to the special occasion (Valentine's Day). Our server was enthusiastic and helpful, always smiling and polite. The bartender was able to make "fancy", non-alcoholic drinks for my son that didn't break the bank and made my son feel special. The food was exceptional in flavor and presentation, and was cooked exactly to order. The eatery itself is beautiful, but it was a bit noisy and the tables were in very close proximity to one another, so it may have been a bit difficult to have an intimate conversation, for those who wanted to. We're not fans of Brussels sprouts, but we both liked this. Our entrees were the Thai shrimp, a favorite of both of us, and the special: amberjack with shaved vegetables and a white bean paste. Both were phenomenal. We also tried new desserts: the Napoleon and the chocolate mousse. We liked the Napoleon better, but both were great. I would get the Napoleon again. It was light and delicious.
