Derek'sA definite thumbs upDerek's was amazing. The layout is so elegant and refine with just a little modern flare. The staff were tremendously accommodating and the food was delicious. I've been here twice for dinner and both times the service was impeccable. The menu is slightly pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The drinks are great as well. I ordered a moijito from here and it was made to perfection. The location is ideal for an upscale experience without having to venture too far from home. We were seated quickly and received our orders in a timely fashion. Therefore, it was a little wait beyond our reservation time. However, the food was well worth the wait. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and the environment. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The buffet was delicious. There were numerous freshly cooked items to chose from. We enjoyed the create your own omelette bar and the French toast made from hallah. The Cesar salad was fresh and tasty. The serving containers were constantly being refilled so that you never had to wait for something you wanted to eat. Derek's was a perfect choice to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. The moment we walk in the door we were welcomed by a friendly host. Our waitress was outstanding and the food was the same. The food was great; however, our table was in the back of the restaurant where it was very noisey. In addition, our waitress kept checking to see if we put our payment on the table because she was ready to go. That drove me absolutely instance. I was entertaining friends from out of town and decided to try something a little bit different. They enjoyed the shops along Main Street and our experience at Derek's provided the highlight of our evening. The quality of the food was truly outstanding. I had the barbeque chicken wings as an appetizer. The sauce was sweet and spicy and the wings were meaty and tender. My entree was mussels and pasta and again I scored big time.There were plenty of mussels and the sauce had just the right amount of spice. The oreo cheesecake I had for dessert provided a perfect closing for my wonderful meal. Tried it with my girlfriends on a Sat night everything was good and fast especially for a Saturday night. The waitress Lauren was great. The place was a little tight but the crowd was so nice it didn't matter. The manchego plate was enjoyable. Special Recipe Chicken was great but I fid not eat the leg as I prefer white meat. The chocolate cake tasted too much like a stick of butter so I did not eat much of it.
