Deno's Mountain BistroExcellent place! Were intriguedExcellent place! Were intrigued by the 2000 degree seared steaks. Bar and restaurant were both full when we arrived for an 8:15 reservation. We were seated in a nice booth by 8:20. The menu had just been reduced as it was athe end of the ski season. Not a huge deal except my wife was hoping for a wedge salad, one of the items removed. We ordered a med rare steak and a beef tips and shrimp dish. Steak was outstanding, dusted with an house rub and perfectly seared at 2000 degrees to med rare. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Beef tips & shrimp were also very good. Both perfectly cooked and seasoned, served on toasted house baked bread. Both dishes were served with Brussels sprout hash which was very tasty. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Our server, Bill, took great care of us, and although the place was hopping, we were in and out in an hour. After a long day of skiing and being exhausted and hungry, we were not disappointed. Server was excellent and food was really good. The sweet and sour calamari was recommended by our server and was different and delicious. Cooked perfectly crisp and tossed with sweet cabbage and peppers. Yummy! The pork porterhouse was massive and juicy, and the side that was a layered potato gratin type thing was unbelievably good.
