However, I was truly surprised by the generours portions and the flavors. Very good food, overall. I would truly visit this site again.
Only complaint is the booth seating. Our server Silas was excellent! We want him everytime we will return in the future. We started off with dumplings and the presentation was a nice suprize. Our drinks were recommended and they were nice. For dinner I had the turkey wings and my boyfriend had porkchops. Servings were huge and tasted great! My first visit was on a friday night with the live R&B band playing(which was excellent). The mistake i made was not making a reservation so it was just a great night at the bar. I got smart and made a reservation for a saturday night to check out the live jazz band and get some food this time. I about melted in my chair with the fresh out of the oven Corn Bread Muffins! You must try the Smothered Pork Chops, Rice and Collard Greens!!! Oh Boy!!! and chase it down with a drink called the Queen City Gentleman. After 8 months we decided to give them another chance this weekend & I was VERY PLEASED! Delta's TOTALLY redeemed themselves. The greeters were friendly, our waitress Tekeya was phenomenal! She was very friendly, attentive and patient. I'm ALWAYS indecisive when ordering. I usually ask every passing waiter & waitress for their recommendation. Well, to insure I was pleased the sous-chef came out to offering assistance. He was GREAT! He gave great recommendations & allowed us to taste a new appetizer which I really enjoyed. I'm a BIG customer service guru. Delta's actually knocked my socks off! I'm so glad I gave them another chance.

The place had a relaxed feel of this place - large yet cozy – like a large comfortable living room. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The crawfish is my favorite, however I am also a hugh fan of the collard dip. The table was in full agreement, everything was good from the fried chicken to the candid yams but no one was crazy about the corn bread. Everyone loved the mash potatoes. He was fantastic very professional and efficient but there were too many people there for only one person. Several people stood outside in the windy, cool air waiting for their cars.
Again the young man was fantastic and was running really fast to get everyone's car so I do not feel this was his fault at all, but a business decision which I felt was not appropriate.

My daughter Thia Reynolds was singing and I wanted to be their for her. What I really like about it is, you have a bar area for those who want to drink and injoy the music and dancing, and you have an area where if you don't want to be close to the bar, but just want to and enjoy the music you can be very confortable. I am a event a wedding consultant and a event coordinator and I see where I can buck, bridal showers, engagment and birthday, etc. I don't go to clubs, basely I am a church girl, however, I will be back to visit yousoon. My family attended on a Sunday afternoon so the crowd size was nice-about 11 other diners. Reservations are required and since our entire party wasn't there they initially weren't going to let us sit down until the rest arrived but they relented after a few minutes without us asking. The service was great and the food was very tasty. I had fried chicken, collard greens & potato salad with enough to take home for a second meal. They no longer offer valet parking but we were able to find a free parking spot nearby. It was my friends birthday and she enjoyed it so it was worth it. She had smothered turkey. Based on previous reviews, I was concerned about the service and food and hoped everything would go well. Things went better than well - we had a fabulous time! The service staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, starting with the hostess and continuing with the wait staff. Vern(sp) waited on us because we sat in the bar earlier than the arrival of the bar's regular wait staff. He was funny and willing to do anything to make our evening fun. The food came out quickly and was hot upon arrival. We also enjoyed the bar's selection of cocktails and beers. The live entertainment was a phenomenal band from Atlanta. And the gumbo - spicier than I like, but it tastes so good I just get over it being hot (by my standards - my family just chuckles, and don't see what the issue is).
Service - they work together. Something needs taking care of, they just take care of it.

We had heard some wonderful things about it, so I decided to plan a date for us to visit. From the first step inside the restaurant it was breathtaking. The ambiance was amazing. We had reservations for 7pm and the dinner crowd for Friday had not arrived yet. And that was okay for us because it gave us time to enjoy our conversation, food and each other.
