  • "Restaurant Week Lunch starting with watermelon soup with crab meat could have been more flavorful with a bit more seasoning. Iceberg lettuce wedge was fine. We both had the Salmon which was suberb. Cheesecake & Warm Chocolate cake were both very good. The down side was the noise level-it was almost impossible to hold a conversation. I was hoarse from raising my voice to be heard."

  • "The Restaurant Week Summer 2014 menu was decent. We had the fillet mignon which in my opinion was undercooked on the inside however burnt on the outside. The portions were pretty small and even after an appetizer, entrée and dessert we still went somewhere else for a pretzel! I probably wouldn't return during Restaurant Week and I for sure would not return for full price."

  • "...ended in a "meh" experience. The major downfall for me was that they do not flame the baked alaska tableside. The waitstaff is competent, and that is it, well, actually, when stating I would wait to decide on the wine, they never came back to it until they came to clear the wine glasses. Perhaps the regular Delmonico's wll deliver the expectations."

Watched WC soccer at the bar before dinner and had the privilege of being served by beautiful Sherri the bartender. Not only gorgeous, but she charged my phone as well!!!"

  • "The front door won't grab your attention -- but once you are inside, the service and steak will win you over. We picked Delmonico's Kitchen because it was close to where we needed to be this day and they were offering a Groupon. I am very glad we went. The scallop appetizer was delicious and all our steaks were cooked perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly. Give them a try!"

  • "I came here with a groupon and would certainly not come back again with or without a deal. In fairness, I enjoyed the sea scallop appetizer and the Delmonico steak. For $19, we only received two seared scallops served on butternut squash puree. I enjoyed the sweet/savory combo but my dining partner found the sweetness to be off-putting. We also ordered a poorly executed salmon entree, crispy sweet onions (much too oily especially after topped with bleu cheese and bacon), the crab mac and cheese (the portion size and the amount of crab you get is not worth the $18 price tag), and the brussel sprouts looked old and were mushy. For dessert, the baked alaska was not memorable and the stale lukewarm coffee was just unforgivable."

  • "Went there with my wife for a nice intimate dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was Excellent, lobster cocktail was AMAZING with the star actually being the cocktail sauce. The dinner itself was great as well. I got the special rib eye which was like butter! Service wsa great as well, they treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant even though it was a pretty packed evening. Highly Recommend Delmonico's Kitchen!"

  • "I went to Delmonico's Kitchen with a few friends and we had the Delmonico's Tower, Porterhouse, Creamed Spinach, and Skillet Hash. The Delmonico's tower was a tower of seafood with lobster, jumbo shrimp, crab, tuna tartar and oysters. It was pretty good and the crab meat was taken out of the shell already. The lobster was also already partially shelled and cut. The Porterhouse was ordered medium rare, it came out medium rare but the outsides were a bit too charred. The creamed spinach was good and the skillet hash was quite delicious. Overall the food was pretty good."

  • "We each had the Delmonico Steak - the steaks were prepared to our requested doneness - medium rare. However, the service was not what I would have expected. Our server did not do a good job of explaining all the specials of the day. I heard more of the specials when he was relating them to the table next to us which was at the end of our meal. Also, the wine list was very outdated - I was at my 4th choice before they had one in stock. When I mentioned this the waiter did say they update the list every couple of weeks, but the restaurant should consider updating more often if they run out that fast of particular wines."

  • "We arrived at Delmonico's Kitchen without a reservation and were told there's absolutely no seating available. I went on Open Table Table and there were ample reservations available. When I showed up at the hostess stand, reservation in hand, only then was I seated. We ordered filet mignon, Delmonico's special cut and Brussels sprouts. The food, I kid you not, came out within less than 5 minutes, which tells me none of it was cooked to order. While the degree of doneness was correct, both steaks were almost burned on the outside, and wetter lacking in flavor and seasoning. Considering each steak was over $50, it was a huge gap between price and quality. Brussels sprouts were completely overcooked and mushy. I will not return."

  • "Unbeknownst to us, our reservation was 45 minutes prior to the start of a New York Rangers game. When we arrived, the restaurant was PACKED, and was so loud it was unbearable. The manager was very understanding, and assured us as game time approached the place would become far less boisterous. He was right! By 15 minutes to game time, we had the place practically to ourselves. The Delmonica steak was one of the best I've ever had - they do it right. It's big though (20 ounces), more enough to split. Also a very good wine list. Wouldn't hesitate to go back next time we're in NYC, just not an an event night at MSG. "

  • "Amidst the midtown chaos and high volume of tourists, inside Delmonico's Kitchen its quite different. You're greeted by a very friendly hostess and wonderful GM who never forgets a face no matter how much time passes. The service is prompt, knowledgeable and very friendly. Great for a short or long business lunch or an afternoon cocktail. You can't beat local farm to table ingredients as well as a well known executive chef- you can certainly taste the quality in every bite. Definitely two thumbs up.... Will certainly head back (as I have been for years- sporadically). "

  • "If you're looking for a tender, perfectly cooked rib eye (the Delmonico steak) then this is the place to get it. The meal starts with warm, fresh herbed bread. I recommend sharing a salad or appetizer and saving your appetite for your entree! The Delmonico potatoes are a rich, creamy side worth getting, and again there's more than enough for two people to share. The wait staff is attentive and pleasant. Sit back and enjoy a leisurely evening! We've been here three times and have yet to share a dessert because we're too full!"

  • "We bought a groupon, which was an amazing deal. However, this is a good steak place anyway. They were incredibly accommodating with respect to taking bacon out of the Brussels sprouts, and taking panchetta out of the potatoes. Service was great, food very good. "

  • "We began our celebration in the bar with a great bottle of champagne and a knowledgeable server. Moved into the dining room and had another great server, very attentive. The bussing by other waiters lacked a bit. Our daughter and her husband loved the steaks, two different kinds. My husband and I had salmon that was also quite good. We ordered a few extra sides including the salad special, asparagus, roasted rutabaga (surprisingly delicious!) and roasted cauliflower. No complaints whatsoever about the food! It would be a place to return to for another special occasion."

Given the time (5:30pm on Friday), the restaurant was not crowded and the wait staff was extremely attentive to my parties needs. The risotto was tasty as was the swordfish offered as a daily special. Wine list contained a good array of selections though a bit overpriced by understandable for the location. Desserts were delicious as we had their signature baked Alaska as well as their chocolate cake."
