Even some of the waiters joked around with us, considering it is a upper end restaurant. As for the food, it was pretty downright delicious. I am usually a fast eater, but I had to slowly savor every bite. It was seriously that good. I had the New Orleans shrimp as an appetizer, and the ribeye paired with the lumps of crabs over asparagus. So yummy!!! I can still taste it now.

My boyfriend and I wanted a nice dinner on our recent Las Vegas vacation. I wore a jersey black dress and he wore jeans and a polo and we never felt out of place. Some of the higher priced restaurants can make you feel uncomfortable, but not Delmonico. Each table gets a trio of servers who are all amazing! The food is wonderful, the restaurant is secluded enough to pull you away from the hustle of Vegas, and the service is great! I would definitely recommend the filet and bread pudding dessert! We split the parmasean and truffle potato chips which were like little bites of delicious air they were so thin and crispy. We each then got a Bone In Ribeye which were excellent. for sides we got the grits and smashed potatoes, both very good but I would go with the grits as they are very tasty and not something you find on many menu's. Lastly for dessert we each got the banana cream pie. One of the best desserts I have ever had and man is it a mountain of pie. I know dinners are much more busy. it was mid week and the service was very nice. One slight hiccup with dressing on the salad and it was immediately whisked away and brought back with dressing on the side. The Barbequed Shrimp appetizer was perfect and we could have just ordered more of that and been happy for the day. Also good was the truffle oil potato chips. Very tasty but a bit greasy. Wife's chicken dish was very tender but lacked flavor. Gnochi appetizer special was awesome. Service was spectacular.

This past visit, however, seemed to be lacking in several areas. The food quality was not up to par. It was good, but not great (as I remember it being many times in the past). The biggest turn-off was when they cleared my leftovers (I was taking home 1/2 a rib eye and some sides), the bus boy placed dirty dishes on the same plate as my leftovers - then boxed the food for me to take home. I explained this to the waiter who reprimanded the bus boy right in front of us. It just wasn't the same experience as it had been in the past. Delmonico Steakhouse came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The understated but elegant design was easy on the eyes. Then came our waiter and his attentive staff. We started the evening with a nice velvet like Pinot Nior followed by a well constructed cheese tray. The mix of cheeses were amazing. Then the main event. Bone in ribeyes and filets. Cooked to perfection. Well marbled and dry aged resulting in the best steaks we have ever eaten. Then the bomb, banana cream pie. I am not a big banana fan. But, this dessert must be tried. It was wonderful! The waiters were very attentive but not overbearing. Your water glass never got very low. Very quiet and dim lighted to give a wonderful atmosphere. I'm not a wine drinker but they did have quite the wine list. Definitely recommend the heirloom tomato salad and the ribeye. The steak just melted in your mouth. Also if you want a side dish make sure you have someone to share with because it is way too much for one person. It is very pricey but well worth the money! I easily and swiftly made the reservation online using OpenTable, and was hoping for the best...and we were all blown away by the experience! It absolutely went above and beyond our expectations on food, service, atmosphere, especially food! Best meal I have ever tasted, HANDS DOWN!!! Service was amazing and professional! The food was great and it didn't really break the bank. There were 9 of us and the bill came out to a little over $900. We had 3 bottles of wine and probably the best find of the dinner was Tito's vodka. Somebody suggested shots and just said "vodka" to the server. She came back with something that she said was only like 50 cents more than the house vodka but is highly recommended. I agree, it was great. It topped of a great meal, great wine, great people and great vodka!
