DeliciasNot the Old DeliciasIt had been along time since we had been to Delicias, a former favorite for special treats. We were disappointed to find the restaurant more typical than terrific. The calamari was served and looked like Howard Johnson's fried clams , over- breaded and overcooked. The ceasar salad was boring. Our entrees were really good and dessert was delicious. (We do miss the baby cakes) It was a nice dinner with wonderful service in a beautiful setting, but just not the Delicias it once was.

This time I made reservations ahead of time and mentioned that my wife was celebrating a Birthday the day we would be dining. Started off with cocktails and several light appetizers (flat bread and calamari), moved to main course of Filet Mignon and the Short Ribs. Service was great, food was exceptional and the ambiance was relaxing. Delicias is great for social gathering, romantic evening or whatever you choose. When wine we first ordered was not available, waiter brought an alternative, for the same price, bat was actually almost twice as expensive. Plus they gave us a second bottle at the same bargain price. Quite a nice deal. The service, atmosphere and food exceeded all of our expectations. Portions were quite large for a fine dining destination, but the food is so incredible that I really can't complain.
