  • It was a so so experience

The experience was okay. We ordered the churrasco (skirt steak) medium and received it well done. When we told the waitress, who seemed very nice, said that the cook just started working there 6 days ago. The mofongo (seasoned mashed up plantains) was overwhelmingly garlicky, in other words waaaay toooo much garlic. If I were in Transylvania after eating their mofongo, Dracula would totally be scared of me. Overpriced, too. We should have stuck to what they do best. Their arepas are amazing!

We have been dined at Delicias three times already. Needless to say a favorite for us. The service is outstanding. The arepas and filling choices are delicious and creative. We have dined with different friends all three times. They all agree - we must return! We feel very much at home here! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality... muchas gracias por su gran hospitalidad!

It was very exotic… Lots of "different things" that we have either never had, or a twist on the things we have had before… they are new, give them a try! The server was especially NICE!!! Aida! Like the Opera! :-) Thank you for a great dinner! Shrimp special and the Tilapia Special and the Chorus for dessert!

I went to this restaurant after falling in love with their food truck. I was so excited they had a restaurant and took my girlfriend (who's from DC) for my birthday. The waitress was incredibly friendly. We brought tequila and she let us taste all of the mixers before choosing. I highly recommend the tamarind one, it was insanely good. We started with the empanadas and they were out of this world. We were surprised that the waitress apologized that they took so long because they are made by hand! Why would you ever apologize for that being the reason your food is taking longer?! We ordered the arepas (reina and pabellon) and loved it! Can't wait to go back!

Pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves on a Wednesday night. Small and quaint, full of character dining room, but the food stole the show. Empanadas were an easy decision for starters. Arepas with the best shredded flank steak I've had in a long time served as a perfect entre. The Plantains....the Plantains...that's all I can say about that. Great little place.

This place was great! It was a bit slow on a Saturday night around 7-9 with about 4 tables of dinners. The server was very attentive and friendly. We brought our own tequila and they made us strawberry margaritas-yum! We got about 8 drinks from a pitcher. The portions were generous. We got an appetizer, an arepas dish, and an entree. That was more than enough food for the both of us. The chips we ordered were nice and thick from yummy tortillas. The chorizo arepas came with 3 good sized links, which they charred table side! We loved the more Yucatan style of the food- lots of plantains and great seafood options. My husband and i were actually inspired to plan a trip to Mexico soon!

This was our second time at Delicias. The food was very tasty and portions adequate. I had the arepas with fish and enjoyed them very much. Love the BYOB format... it allows great pairing with the diverse appetizers and entrees we all enjoyed. Will definitely return and recommend to others! Buen provecho... bon appetit!

Delicias was able to accommodate 15 of us with only a few days notice for my husband's birthday dinner. The service was great & the food was excellent. None of us had ever been there before, but we will surely be back. The Chorizo that comes out on a flaming pig & is cooked tableside was a huge crowd pleaser. The jalapeño margarita mix was delicious even for those of us that thought we wouldn't like it. Carla our server was on top of everything which says a lot for being such a big group. Thank you Delicia!

The menu was concise with the right amount if goodies to choose from. We started out with the empanadas which were fried to a crispy perfection. Next we had the arepas with chicken and chorizo. That chorizo was very authentic. They came with homemade arepas. None of the instant mix here. Each dish came with many small dishes of beans guac and plantains to go along with the protein and eat were seasoned beautifully.

My wife and I dined for our anniversary here. The food was delicious, the service was very good, the price was moderate, and the portions were excellent. I had the Churrasco which was cooked to my expectations and my wife had the masitas de cerdo. She enjoyed her dish. It was a BYOB (which we weren't aware of). However, the waitress recommended a Wine and Spirits shop within walking distance, which we purchased our drink and brought it back for our dinner. Overall this was a very good dining experience. We will be back to try other dishes.

My friends and I were not disappointed with the food at Delicias. Everything was fresh and delicious and the servings were more than ample. We brought our own tequila and chose the jalapeno-cilantro mixer -- they were exceptional. We had two pitchers and could have had more..... I do have to mention that while the server was good, the timing of the food was too long. We waited at least 15-20 mins for our appetizers and then another 30 mins or so for our entrees. And we were the only people in the restaurant until about an hour after we got there and then one other couple arrived so it was not because they were busy. However, the time delay might have been because everything is prepared fresh and to order as the food was extremely good

From the outside you may wonder, but as soon as you enter Delicias you'll be greeted pleasantly and treated to a menu of treats from several countries including, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and more. This is a BYOB restaurant and the prices are very reasonable. Service is prompt and friendly. Portions are quite ample, so be conservative in your ordering. We definitely will be back for more!

Picked this place because of the reviews they have, but makes me wonder know...It is NOTHING like it says! But worst part of a whole experience was the fact, that we were rushed to get out of there after two hours! Our friends drove two hours to get there! All they had to do, let us know when we made reservation, about limited timing! Totally mismanaged place!!!So, maybe it is good as a street track, but other then that-Philadelphia has more to offer!!!It was a great waist of our time!!!The only credit we can give, would be to our waitress! She was right on!But, obviously pressured by management!Noticeably too!!!We have great attitude toward small businesses! So, it is unfortunate that we can't say much of a good for this one...

I just loved the place. I have not seen anything like it in town. I really enjoy latin food and I this place has really good one. I went with my wife on Saturday night and we had the soup "Mi Mar" which is a really good homemade taste of sea food soup. We also had the Apepas (Corn tortillas) with "Masitas de cerdo" which is chopped pork. The textures and the taste were great. We also had a Mango-Pinaple juice with a dash of menta wich made it refreshing. I wish we would bring a bottle of rum or vodka to join it since the restaurant is BYOB. Nice service and enviromen, quiet and romantic at that time.

We had the rib-eye, masitas, mofongo, empanadas and shrimp in garlic sauce. Some of the dishes came with arepas, yuca mash, other with rice and pink beans!!! Great BYOB featuring a small menu with a variety of foods from Central and South America. The arepa platters were large and delicious; I had the pork which was delivered sizzling hot in a cast iron pan; it was juicy and flavorful. My partner enjoyed his fish of the day (tilapia) entrée, but felt the portion was a little small. We also enjoyed green plantain fritters and, for dessert, churros with dulce de leche. Not a large selection to choose from. Wife and I stopped in Saturday 03/01 grab a bite before the Sixers game. We reside in cntral Jersey decided to have a dinner in Philly rather than our customary restaurant in Jersey. I would not give it a 4 stars food was good not great. dinning area very small nothing elegant and the menu was on a clipboard from Walmart. Our waiter gave us the menu which include the special Ribeye. Wife decided on the Ribeye the waiter turned and said "sorry we are out of Ribeye". I was stunned Saturday early evening 6 PM and you have a special that you ran out so you are unable to offer. My guess never had the Ribeye because how can you run out on if not your busiest night.

We didn't realize the restaurant closed at 9 and they kept it open almost an hour late for us, because they did not want to interrupt or disrupt us.
