Loved our appetizer sampler platter and 4 out of 5 meals. Saag and curries were excellent-but the kababs were like a chicken sausage, weird! Just stick to the other items, which were all excellent.

I have been to dozens of Indian restaurants around the country, in Europe, Africa, and South America. Delhi Six ranks with the best. Try the Mango Ginger soup! I also particularly enjoyed the Murgh Achari.

Our second visit there within one week. We went back because it was so good. It was Valentine's Day and busy but not overwhelmingly so...but our waitress acted like it was SOOO busy..so much so, she forgot our drinks and had to chase her down. The food was very good, but normally we thought the kebabs came out sizzling and instead, we got an order of very delicious chicken on a plateful of RAW onions. Ewww. Next time, we will quiz the staff about what to expect on the plate, but I think this had to be some kind of mistake. The chicken biryani was terrific.

Food was generally good, we really liked the chick pea masala. Somosas were a little disappointing. Service was less than stellar. I don't like to hear my server make excuses. There was no bartender on the evening we were there. I recommend that you confirm there is a bartender or stick to bottled beverages rather than mixed drinks. We are still likely to go back for the food.

Delhi6 is a little hard to find, tucked into a corner of a shopping center, but worth the effort. I dined alone, arriving a bit after 6 p.m., and was seated promptly at a booth table. A big scroll-shaped pappadam arrived soon accompanied by a pair of chutneys. My appetizer - Bhalla papdi (a first-time for me) - was a study in taste and texture contrasts. Slightly sweet, soft lentil dumplings surrounded with a sharp yogurt-based sauce that was laced with colorful streamers of liquid flavor, and crunchy bits. The entrée was lamb Afghani Tikka, and it was a succulent treat. The creamy marinade was cooked into the meat. Aromatic rice comes with the dish, but I ordered a Naan anyway, and loved it. A dish of Kheer for dessert completed the mea

Our waiter was very good and friendly. We had the appetizer sampler plate which provided a nice mix of vegetarian and meat appetizers for $12 although several of them were over-cooked/fried. We also had the Lamb Rogan Josh which was OK, but the sauce could have been tastier and the amount of lamb was lacking for a $16 entree. I'm glad I had a coupon to try this place, but it is unlikely that I would return.

We were disappointed with almost every aspect of our dinner at Delhi 6. Our reservation earned us only an awkward table, despite others having been recently seated in cozy booths. Twenty minutes elapsed before our order was taken, and we waited a full hour for our entrees. Thirty more minutes went by before we received our requested check, reportedly due to a malfunctioning printer. The food was fine but not the best Indian cuisine we've had, either. Our server seemed brand new, untrained but at least eager, and no one else said a word to us about the long wait. We won't be back.

My husband and I LOVE Indian food and Delhi 6 is always a treat for us. It's quiet, and has good acoustics so when it is a bit crowded, you can still carry on a conversation. I am not vegetarian, but usually do not eat meat at most Indian restaurants because I love vegetables and they work absolute magic with their sauces and fabulous breads- Delhi 6 is no exception here. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the place :)
