A word from Delaney's Grill
Everybody has their own idea about what makes a perfect steak. Yes, it always starts with a great cut of 100% Black Angus beef from cattle raised on small farms and fed an all-vegetarian diet to promote superior marbling and outstanding flavor. But which cut is best, the degree to which a steak is cooked, and what best complements a steak"s flavor — well, that's all pretty personal. That's why we at Delaney's Grill take the time to talk to every diner. We show you the cuts we offer, talk to you about rubs that can improve their flavor, and offer recommendations on the best way to cook your steak. And when we deliver your meal, we don't leave the table until we know your steak is cooked to your definition of perfection. Add amazing appetizers, perfect sides and a family-style chop-chop salad and you'll understand why Delaney's Grill is the best for steak in the Valley. View the Delaney's Grill Menu.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We sat in a room that was like a study with a fire place and walls lined with book shelves but tables instead tables of furniture. There was no music playing so it was strange because you could hear the conversations going on at each table.Service was good waitress was attentive and quick but we were there an hour before our main courses came so the cooking is slow. Ordered a mixed drink it was way too strong. A pineapple tequila mix but tasted tequila with a splash of pineapple color you could not taste the pineapple. The popover had no taste. Clam chowder lukewarm. Ordered the Prime rib and Porterhouse. PR was good but the PH ordered med rare was well towards rare. Vegetable medley was very good but the mashed potatoes were very thick."

  • "We were seated right away in the quiet dining room, and the service was great. Our food came out In just the right increments and was cooked to perfection. We had a very pleasant experience and next time will Stay to have a drink in the bar area where there was live music."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, and there were plenty of other menu choices so a return visit is a distinct possibility! We had a 5:00 o'clock reservation, as we planned to see a movie afterwards, and there was a function going on that filled the parking lot quickly. There is valet parking, so if it is crowded you needn't worry about finding a parking space."

  • "We went here as a family to celebrate an early Christmas and to have brunch.I asked for the gluten free options which I was told at one point (after the rest of my family had eaten) what was G-free, which was the obvious-fruit, cheese and very bland meat.It was embarrassing as the server scurried around to find out what I could eat (for both of us) and I left hungry because there was not a whole lot for me to eat.I have heard that they have additional gluten free options now, but it was disappointing, especially having been the person to "pick out the restaurant."Having a printed list of options is what most restaurants offer and do so in a timely manner. We might try it again, the rest of my family was happy, but I was hungry and not happy."

  • "I had high expectations for this place and they were not met. The steak was over cooked. I asked for medium rare and when I cut into it, it was medium headed toward medium well. The prime rib cut was not prime at all. Tasted more like a choice cut. My fiancé had the same to say about her steak. There was no way I was going to send it back and wait another hour to recieve a steak the way I asked for it. The server was not bad although she had a case of the dropsies all night. I don't mind spending a pretty penny at a restaurant as long as the food is worth it. It's all about the food for me. I honestly could have got an equal or possibly better tasting steak at The Long Horn Steakhouse for half the price."

  • "We dined on a Sunday evening with a party of four. Table was ready immediately. Meals were good overall but nothing that 'wowed' us. Filet was tasty however the potatoes and vegetables that were served with the meal were not warm. Portions were sufficient and presentation done well. Prime Rib was tasty however more fat than usual. Did not like the chop salad. This is usually one of our favorites however their version was more like a slaw with the amount of dressing it was swimming in. The table we dined on was right in the middle of a group of tables placed close together and we felt the setup could have improved the dining ambiance. Overall we were expecting a bit more from the Delaney House."

  • "We got there and the (fully stocked) bar and pub area was rocking. For dinner, one of the best filets I've had. The wine sampler was really nice.... they give you 3 small (but larger than we expected) glasses of wine mounted on a nice stand. After you finish the sampler, you can then choose any of them for only $5 a glass (normally $7 -$11 per glass). The only thing is that we were unlucky by sitting in the same room as two large parties of 12 that inherently made a lot of noise. I would bet it's normally not that loud. All in all, an outstanding restaurant that I would recommend to everyone."

  • "With a wide variety of food, Delaney Grill has something for everyone. Their breakfast assortment is phenomenal and their lunch dishes were delicious. They have a nice assortment of both salads and desserts (including, my favorite, chocolate fondue, and my kids' favorite, a make-your-own-sundae bar). My only criticism is that the pancakes and the carving station meats were a little dried out, however, offering lamb at the carving station was a huge hit! All in all, Delaney Grill's brunch was the perfect way to enjoy my daughter's 25th birthday with her family and friends. Everyone left with a smile and a guarantee to return soon!"

  • "The food was good the service was ok we sat in the library room witch was very nice. But I wish that our server was a little more excited to be serving us just because we were only in our 20s does not mean we couldn't tip well. I myself work in a resturant and understand when u see younger couple you think aww man no tip but every customer should be treated the same!"

  • "If you like dining at eating out this is the place to go. It is amazing in every single aspect! From the food to the service everything exceeded my expectations. The only thing I would change are the prices because they get kinda ridiculous. Like $42 for steak. But overall great place!"

  • "My husband & I were greeted graciously by the hostess,&she seated us immediately even though we arrived on the early side. Our server, Dawn, was perfect. We did not want for anything. She timed our courses perfect, filled our waters w/o being asked, replenished empty glasses as needed. She was wholly available but never intrusive. As a manager in this business I would be proud if all my staff was as courteous. I had the scallops and my husband had the duck. Both were amazing, and cooked perfectly. My banana foster dessert came to the table melting and was very messy so I would not get that again, but as I understand it is the Jamaican banana foster I should have ordered, and I will go back just to try that!"

  • "What a great surprise! A suite, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.. I took up the offer for meal card and champagne but forgot. Never knew we were getting suite. Then the food. We had great meals and everything was great Wine and martinis started it off. Apps from raw bar were clean and fresh We love the popovers Gorgonzola sirloin was great and petite filet was delicious We even loved the mashed potato and vegetables and completed with crème Brule and after dinner drinks made it perfect. The walk to our suite was easy and fun...great time"

  • "While we have had Sunday Brunch at Delaney's Grill several time over the last 2 years, it has been awhile since we dined there for an evening meal. As it was our anniversary, I requested any special accommodations possible when making the reservation. We were immediately seated at our reservation time in the smaller, cozy, semi-private dining room next to the fireplace (which was not so warm as to make it uncomfortable). The servers were prompt and friendly without being overbearing. We each chose a meal off the Delaney's Delight, including an appetizer, popover, chop chop salad, entree and dessert. Each course was a delight. Probably one of the best meals I've had in the past year. Highly recommended!"

  • "Probably the best Sunday Brunch we've ever experienced. Excellent variety of food. Everything delicious. It was our only meal of the day and so worth the experience."

  • "It's been years since we've been to the restaurant. Our memory was of an elegant atmosphere with a unique menu and quality service. A lot of things may have changed since our last visit, but it's nice to know we can depend on the things that matter to be the same. The waitress from the beginning was very attentive and thorough. The buffet which we had heard good things about, was fabulous. A large range of selections for both breakfast and dinner, well prepared although some of the items could've been hotter. The desserts were ok - not great, but we liked the fondue. The Library was a cozy room with a fireplace and books - we were so comfortable, I was tempted to put my feet up and curl up with one of the decorations."

  • "Originally had reservations for a standard brunch, order off the menu and switched last minute to Delaney Grill. We wanted a brunch buffet for New Year's Day and this was a last minute pleasant surprise. The place is lovely and we were seated in the Library. The entire main area was filled with buffet choices and set up as to not cause long lines. Besides the carving station there was a brunch lunch buffet, a salad buffet, omelet and cereal station, desert station, shrimp cocktail condiment station, and ice cream bar station, and a pancake waffles fresh fruit station. The carving station consisted of turkey, ham, leg of lamb and tenderloin. All in all, it was a spectacular brunch and we are looking forward to going again in the near future."

  • "The Delaney Grill serves excellent food for the money. The only negative to our experience was that the waitstaff was overwhelmed and things took a while to get to outlet table. Maybe this was due to the fact that they were busier then they expected? We had a great time and really enjoyed the food."

  • "The food was delicious but we didn't order anything extraordinary (scallops). As usual, it was well prepared and nicely presented. Megan, our waitress, was excellent--attentive, alert but unobtrusive. A gem."

  • "Great great time. Food in the Grill was outstanding. We gad prime rib and fillet mignon. Both were flavorful & tender. Try the mussels appetizer. After dinner, great drinks in the lounge and outstanding live entertainment. Really fun evening! Can't go wrong."

  • "Albeit I have only tried the Sir Arthur's Filet on each of my two visits, the food has been excellent and the filet has to be the best I have ever eaten. Some substitutions are allowed which makes the menu flexible and more apt to please the reader."

  • "Everything was perfect for my birthday...but there are two suggestions - Popovers need to be heated if possible. Cranberry juice was too strong... Wonder you could change the brand of cranberry juice?"

  • "enough staff only we got the waiter that knew for parties of six his tip was included. Dinner took 2.5 hrs Lobster Mac and cheese, not a shred of lobster to be found, the chop chop salad,....should be the glop glop salad, so overdressed that I do not think that I have ever seen lettuce clump together. appetizers delivered to the dining room and they sat for 6 minutes just waiting for someone to serve. Where was our waiter? Duck over cooked, butternut risotto overwhelming with maple flavor and the the rice still crunchy not al dente. Ordered a drink 3/4 of the way through dinner, arrived after asking where it was as dessert orders were taken. Who wants a beer with dessert? Maybe the waiter that knows his tip is included??? Would not go back"

  • "Had a small company dinner for the Holidays and found the menu provided variety for all tastes. Everyone commented on how impressed they were with the food and I was surprised at the value. Delaney Grill has such a wonderful reputation that I had expected the function to be more costly than it ended up being. Service was gracious with individual attention to customer needs. Even the valet service was wonderful on a very cold and snowy evening. Thank you Delaney Grill for making this function not only enjoyable but memorable. (We'll be returning!!)"

  • "the Delaney House used to be the GO TO Place in Western MA but now I feel like the food is equivalent to a good resturant chain. The famous popover was cold, the steak was just ok (my husband got it - and they actually gave him the wrong one), the fish was basted in butter. I feel like they are using the age old technique of just basting everything in butter. The desserts while good were HUGE which is another technique to instead of using great quality ingredients to use just ok ingredients and make the desserts massive and go for the WOW factor. We went there for a special occassion and it was special because everyone was there and it was requested by the guest of honor but I would not go out of my way to go back."

  • "Out for a special holiday dinner wtih the grandkids. Kids menu available which was nice. The layout of the restaurant has changed I think and though seated in a lovely spot with a nice view it got very noisy when large parties were seated in the same space. Soup was very good, salad was good, entrees (adult) were not very good. The waiter and staff were courteous and attentive. Disappointing considering the expense."

  • "I have heard great things from friends and coworkers. So we decided to give it a try for our anniversary. Well everything was right on, the food was great, service was top notch and very romantic. I made the reservation under Open Table and had flowers sent to the restaurant, they took very good care of us. We had a nice corner table that was looking out and very quiet. I would definitely go back for any occasion."

  • "We have a tradition in our family for the one celebrating a birthday. We not only give gifts, but we have the recipient select a restaurant and activity. My son's girlfriend has never really had a birthday party, so several months ago we told her to start choosing an activity and restaurant. She immediately chose Yankee Candle, so we started searching the area for a restaurant. When we found the Delaney House was affiliated with the Log Cabin (our first choice, but closed on Sundays), and had a unique Sunday Brunch, that was the place she chose. The ambience, food and overall experience was amazing! This will definitely be our go-to place for special occasions from now on. She had a fantastic birthday--Thank you Delaney House!"
