Seriously good steaks perfectly cooked. Nice wine list. Good service. Terrific location right in Rockefeller Center. We were freezing though, because they were having a heating issue (lack of) on a very cold night.

DFG has become our favorite midtown spot. Though many people confuse it with the steakhouse (not sure why in this world of electronic devices), they are not to be confused. DFG can accommodate any palate and mood with their food and ambiance. This time around Oladele was our waiter. He was super kind and knowledgeable which is refreshing in NYC . He always had a smile on his face. Our group ordered drinks, apps, flatbread and steak. One better than the next! Our favorites are the cheesesteak egg rolls and any of the flatbreads and of course the VIP. Speaking of VIP the reason I had to write an actual review this time instead of just the star rating is that the managers here go out of their way to greet guests. We are not regulars but have always had conversations with the managers. This time the manager Daniele came by to give us samples of the beers we were deciding between- nice touch. Also he gave us suggestions knowing that one of our friends was a first time guest. Nick also came by to greet us and see how we were.

Every year, my husband and I come to NYC for a quick 3-day getaway. We happened upon Del Frisco's Grille about 4 years ago. Loved the dinner experience we had and returned for lunch the following day. Since then we've put it on our agenda to dine at Del Frisco's Grille at least once whenever we're in town. There's always a vibrant bar scene. It's prime location, very close to NBC studio at Rockefeller Center. Reservations are highly recommended on most days. We've even had some STAR sightings while dining there. So convenient for the cast of SNL, and the other late night show hosts. But that's testimony that the food is good. It's also somewhat pricey. The calamari and steaks are definitely good. Dinner salads are good and very hearty. They make good burgers too. This visit we wanted to order light because of the late hour. We ordered fish tacos and were disappointed. But that's on me, fish tacos are more of a San Diego trip menu item. None the less, I am anticipating our return to Del Frisco's Grille next year.

After attending the Spectacular a group of us attended Del Frisco's for lunch. My daughter ordered some mashed potatoes which were lukewarm , and not mashed. Our french dip roast beef sandwiches were fatty, it was all just ok. I would not say anything was particularly memorable or so delicious that we would go back there. It was kind of disappointing for a pricey lunch.

What a nice menu, hard to decide, but we both did large and wonderful salads -- one with tuna and one with chicken and brussels sprouts. Although we drooled at the big steak salads going past us. Pleasant surroundings, nice location by Rockefeller Center, and a pleasant staff.

Delicious food, spectacular service. If the scallops are on special, go for it. Bread Pudding dessert is a must. Ahi Tuna Taco starters are also a win. Sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. Busy bar area with Suits after work. Seems like a popular place to hang with co-workers or have a business meeting. Will definitely go back. This location seems to have a slightly more laid back vibe than their neighboring location which I enjoyed.

Caesar salad was delicious. I had the crab cake with spicy roumoulade and my husband had the tuna tacos. Had it all before, all good. This used to be my favorite steakhouse but the steak was not the same. I ordered it medium rare, it came out correctly, only the chef char broiled the heck out of the outside and it just tasted burnt. I should have sent it back but didn't. I'm Leary to go back now. My husband had the short rib stroganoff which he really liked and we tried the deviled eggs which are new to the menu instead of the regular sides. They were fine - there was some sort of oil on top though so were rich for my taste. My husband really liked them though. The waitstaff was great.

Have eaten here before. The food is fine, but not outstanding. Being the first experience as you walk in, the hostesses leave little to be desired. Their serious attitude as if we bothered them to ask them for a table, which we reserved, was unnecessary and poor service. Our server was mediocre, but certainly was extraordinary when handing us the bill. I guess the tip time is the most important. Disappointing experience all around!

i used to love going here and still love the cheesesteak egg rolls. the place is maybe becoming too corporate, too bottom line and its starting to show in the quality of the food. i was overcharged for two of the three meals on the ticket and while they corrected this, because i knew from past visits it was incorrect, there was no apology. the fries used to be so good, we noticed right away they were different and bland and chewy. i was told the fries had changed and our server said he was hearing that a lot. my steak was good ($43) but on the smaller side, per my past experience as well. while i would go back it will most likely be for apps only. too many better steak houses out there for the money.

I made this reservation because I wanted a casual dinner with friends after running the NY Marathon earlier in the day. We were late for our reservation, but the hostess sat us right away even though the place was pretty busy. Our server Jesse was outstanding and attentive. He made several recommendations for both food and drinks, all of which were outstanding. The whole dinner he kept us laughing with his great personality. He was a gem! I had the filet. It was perfectly cooked. The table shared the coconut cream pie for dessert. Oh My!! It was delicious!!! A great find in NYC! Hats off Del Frisco, you made our celebration dinner perfect!!

We found the atmosphere to be more relaxed and the food choices, more varied, than the main Del Frisco restaurants which we really enjoyed. The restaurant was lively, but not over powering. Two in our party ordered steaks and the third chose a dish that is probably not on the main restaurant's menu. Overall we had a very positive experience on our first visit to a Del Frisco Grille, and we will return.

Our waiter for dinner was extremely pushy - constantly recommending absurdly expensive wines / foods. He was quite annoying, did this throughout the evening, and at the end openly asked us out loud, "How much tip would you like to leave? 18% or 20%?" I've never experienced anything like that, and I don't plan to go back to Del Frisco's ever again.

Our reservation was for 8:15. We arrived at 8:10, and were seated at 8:45. A couple came in after us, had an 8:30 reservation, and was seated before us. We were standing right next to the hostess station; they clearly bypassed us after we waited for 35 minutes to accommodate other diners, with no explanation to us. We complained to the manager, were given a table 5 minutes later, and that's it. No drink on the house, no free dessert, no free appetizer. The food was excellent, but the service was so bad I would never consider going back.

I came here thinking it was like other steak houses. The menu is not centered around steak which I liked. Lots of different choices. We did have steak which was great. The sides were okay. Dessert was very good. The atmosphere was surely more casual and touristy. Being that it was across from Rock Center it seems best to be a lunch or after work spot. On a Saturday night they were closing up by 11:30??? Not what you expect in NYC. People told us it was so expensive. I think it was priced the same as any other upscale restaurant. Not really a date place.

Steaks and sides were terrific. We had more managers visit us than visits by waitress when restaurant was not entirely full. Bread plates came with salad but no offer of bread. When requested, we were told pretzel bread was made to order; it came long after salad in middle of meal. Decaf coffee was lukewarm; waitress not very attentive. Took too long to get bill. For the cost I did not expect this level of service.
