Diner Reviews
  • "My waiters were very attentive and friendly. Our food and drinks were served quickly and correct. The Manager/Owner checked on us a few times. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our date night. Our favorite dish was the Garlic Mash and his Rib Eye Steak with the Oscar Style topping."

  • "Food and experience overall excellent. Don't leave without trying the cheesecake creme brûlée. Absolutely hands down one of the best desserts I've ever tasted."

  • "it was a very dreary raining night but the atmosphere in the restaurant was vibrant. From the appetizer through dessert evverything was delicious. I had the steak salad added perfectly cooked shrimp to it. The cheese steak egg rolls were yummy and the chocolate cake was the perfect ending."

  • "Three of us had the prime steak and filet. All were perfect as was the wine by the glass very reasonable for upscale NYC. Highly recommended !!"

  • "I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service here. I opted for Del Frisco's Grille for a family event because I thought the ambiance would be slightly less 'stuffy' than some of NY's other well-known steakhouses, and I figured the meal and service would be in the ballpark. DFG hit the nail on the head! My filet mignon was cooked perfectly, superbly tender, and deliciously seasoned. The fries were great too! A member of the kitchen staff delivered the food personally and stayed to make sure the doneness was to the liking of each person at the table. Our waiter was very helpful and present, never pushy or overbearing. Outstanding meal. Looking forward to my next opportunity to dine at DFG!"

  • "We tried Del Frisco's Grille Friday night and were very pleased. The waiter and the som were both friendly and attentive. The steaks (one medium and one medium rare) were both cooked to perfection, and I could develop a serious addiction to the truffle mac and cheese. There's not really anything on the menu I do not want to try, so will definitely be back. It was a rainy spring evening, so outside service was unavailable, but it looks like a great place to enjoy an al fresco evening with Rock Center looming above you."

  • "I thought I made a reservation at the main Del Friscos on Avenue of the Americas but they informed me I made a reservation at the Grille. In comparison this location was a lot quietier and did not seem quite as "stuffy". The food was EXCELLENT!! and it was not as loud or stuffy. I would definitely return to this location again."

  • "Del Frisco's Grille is a happening place - don't go without a reservation. Food is excellent, service very good, but noise level is really high. If you're trying to have a quiet conversation, this may not be the best place."

  • "The food, service and atmosphere outstanding! Located in Rickefeller Center near the Today Show and "30 Rock". I would go again in a heartbeat"

  • "Watch out! unless you have a really fat wallet, you are in for a shock from the prices of this place. I had the filet mignon and it was very good, but havng to pay extra for each side is really taking it over the top."

  • "I wish I could say I enjoyed the meal. food-wise, it was fine. But the noise level is so high it precludes conversation."

  • "Service was perfect; filet mignon was superb; my son raved about his cheeseburger; his sweet potato fries were ethereal - pillowy and light; the wine list was very deep, including the half-bottle list; banana cream pie was a towering sight to behold and was a huge hit with the table. Our table, a semi-circle booth, made the experience even better and more special."

  • "Lively atmosphere! A more casual setting than Del Frisco's main restaurant but same great quality. A favorite lunch spot!"

  • "Had dinner here and the original The Palm in the same week. Del Frisco's had a better steak for the same cut and preparation. After six months of being here on an expense account, this is a good value place. Not inexpensive, but good value. I'll be back."

  • "I always enjoy dinning at Del Frisco's Grille. It has the 3 things I value in an outstanding restaurant. Service, Ambiance and Food. On all three Del Frisco's Grille exceeds on. They have never missed a beat on any. I could go on and on raving about them but let me leave you with this. Their steak is to die for!"

  • "This restaurant is definitely a 'special occasion' style place. Located right in Rockefeller Center, you know you're going to be hit with a big bill. My friend and I went because I had a gift card. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tacos for an appetizer, and we split the Chicken Schnitzel for dinner. Plus we each got an order of the Truffle Mac and Cheese, because we're big mac and cheese fans. The food was excellent, the wait staff was mostly attentive (Our waters were constantly full, management stopped by to check on us, and the table was cleared in record time by three people. The only issue we had with our waiter was we couldn't find him for a little while when we wanted the bill), and the ambiance is great."

  • "Decent food, very loud scene, great cocktail list and wine list. Excellent service. Just wasn't what I was expecting. I thought it would be more of a "del Frisco's" kind of flair not as Impressive with the menu choices."

  • "3rd time there. Hard to get dinner reservations last minute so went for lunch. Awesome! Shaved Beef dip sandwich really should be a knife and fork sandwich, open face. Great taste just too hard to hold. Mac & Cheese is a favoirte. Tenderloin Trio very pricey but worth every penny. Love the Lemon Doberge cake with hot coffee for dessert. Love they serve fresh, good coffee too. I'm not a big drinker and so many restaurants focus on the booze and forget some of us like other drinks too. I will go back again and again."

  • "Always enjoy going to Del Frisco's Grille. The service there is always top notch and the waiters and waitresses are attentive and super friendly. The managers are also very professional and recommend great selections of food and wine. The food is done perfectly each time and it's always an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is casual, relaxing and inviting. The filet and truffle mac and cheese are always a favorite."

  • "Same great food. Same great service as the flagship Delfriscos with a more relaxed ambiance. In the heart of Rockerfella Plaza. We chose this due to the more relaxed atmosphere and casual dress code. Bone in ribeye was fabulous and cooked perfectly."

  • "Just don't go during happy hour. It's just d-bags in suits screaming over each other about how important they are. It's too loud and crowded. After about 8pm, it's MUCH better."

  • "Food Was delicious. I would recommend this establishment for business meetings and families visiting Rock Center."

  • "Del Frisco's Grille was suggested by a friend and we went there. I changed the reservations twice and the restaurant was accommodating! My BF was a little late (he went to the sister location-DEL FRISCO's) so, I had a seat at the bar and was offered the BEST margarita EVER! It was perfect! Our waiter was very attentive and the service was very good. The restaurant lost two stars because my food was a little less than what I expected for $30 . I had a chicken dish and it was served lukewarm! However, my BF loved his Filet Mignon with Blue Cheese and he said it was cooked to perfection. I wouldn't suggest this place to dine but it wasn't a BAD experience."

  • "First we made reservations at Del Frisco's not the Grille We got to Del Frisco's only to find that the reservation was at the Grille We requested a table and were told that we would have to wait for an hour and a half We went to the Grille Second the Grille was uncomfortably cold (door opening and closing) The food was cold The steak was salty? Great heart attack food At least the service was good Training ground for the real Del Frisco's I suppose I won't be back"

  • "The only thing I didn't like was our entrees were brought out while we were still eating our appetizers. Other than that everything was great!"

  • "Took my hubby here for his birthday and he Absolutely loved everything! The food was amazing and the staff was great. The food came out right away, and when we were done with our appetizers our main course was served not even 10 minutes later! Would definitely recommend this place."

  • "We picked Del Frisco's because of its proximity to our friend's office and because of the menu. The food was pretty good, and the restaurant was quite nice. I've listed the noise as "energetic" because there was no option for "too noisy". I know that you want a little noise in your restaurant but it was hard to hear the other people at the table (in our case 3 men under 40). i would go back though because the menu had something for everyone, and that is sometimes hard to find."

  • "It's not a steak house or hough it's prices would lead you to think it was the food was good the desserts were enorrmous unlike the side dihes ,had to ask for bread three times, finally got to table towards the end of the meal the whole place had a mechanical feel to it ,think Cheesecake Factory"

  • "Didn't really appreciate the young lady attempting to seat us at the least desirable table in the place despite it being 6PM pre theater and half empty. She then attempted the second most least desirable table! We chose our own table thank you. Once past her, it was great. Entrees of petite filet and the aged strip on a bone were perfect. Side of asparagus also perfect. Apps of Caesar salad and tuna tacos were good but not the best we have had. Wine list real nice, good selection of Pinot's and Cabs. The pineapple martinis at the bar while looking out at the lighted trees surrounding the rink at Rock Plaza was a nice finish to our dinner before our show. Native NY'ers and we appreciated the scenery. Many tourists. Go here. You will like it."

  • "For those seeking the flavorful Del Frisco's steaks but for whatever reason are not inclined to visit the original, this somewhat hidden nook suffices. Happy hour music levels (quite loud) and choices (dance music in a Steakhouse?) are a out of touch with the dining experience they hope to achieve. Nonetheless, the quality of the food and level of service lived up to expectations. The flatbreads are a good appetizer choice, the steaks are true Del Frisco's, and the spinach is a winner."
