I had high expectations for Del Frisco's having previously dined at the one in Boston and unfortunely this one didn't live up to my expectations. I had reservations at 6:30 and still had to wait 15 minutes for my table. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but the food was just okay. It was also. bit noisy and the booths were very small.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Del Frisco's-the cheese steak rolls, chicken schnitzel and ahi tuna salad and tuna steak entrees were fantastic topped off with an amazing bread pudding with coffee ice cream for dessert! The only thing better than the exceptional food was the outstanding service of not only our servers but also Mike and Eric, the management! Looking forward to returning soon!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Del Frisco Grill experience in Atlanta Ga. Since then I have had poor experiences at Burlington Ma and Chestnut Hill Ma venues. Burlington was really poor! Bad management and wait staff - smelled like a bar room. Chestnut Hill has promise but food was mediocre and wait staff was junior.

My wife and I went the other night for our anniversary and it was one of the worst meals we have had. Cold food which we sent back. A pasta dish at that. My wife got a lemon chicken and there wasn't even a hint of lemon on it. Plus with all the issues we had they apologized hit didn't even offer as much as a complimentary drink or dessert. They are many choices in newton so that will be the first and only time we go to del friscos

Labor Day weekend, 6:30 dinner and they couldn't seem to get meals out to the customers. We and others sat and waited- not that busy. If you order an appetizer recommend telling them to bring it with the entrees as they seem to build in a wait period. Manager came over and tried to cheer people up. Food (especially salads) nothing special and there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from.

This is not the same del friscos that's downtown. Totally different restaurant. Not a steak house. We did not know this so that was disappointing. We sat at the bar. Service was good. Drink was good. Ordered the special - swordfish. It was so bad I sent it back. I have never done that before. It's a good thing I did too because it was $36 for terrible fish!! Very disappointing.

Have gone for lunch twice and both experiences were very enjoyable. Menu is diverse with many choices that appealed to me. I've been told that brunch is great as well. I have yet to try dinner but definitely will !! Both time our server was personable without being overbearing and GM was friendly and professional :-) The space is bright and spacious and decor interesting. Bar is large and inviting. We will return regularly!!

Enjoyed a night out at Del Frisco's Grille with three friends. Very professional service. The food is very good and well-presented. The lobster roll was especially tasty. Don't skip dessert - the coconut cream pie is outstanding!! Only drawback is the noise level - hard to have a conversation when the restaurant is busy.

  • Non consistent chain
    5secRuleVIP
    Dined on 8/19/2014
When I go to restaurants, a big thing for me is consistency. Especially at a chain restaurant, I expect that if I order the same salad at Del Friscos in 2 different locations that they will be identical. However, here they can't even manage to keep the food consistent in the same restaurant. I have dined at Del Friscos Grille, Chestnut Hill about 6 times since they opened and 4 of those times I got the Steakhouse Salad. The first time was the best, had all of the components as described on the menu and the steak on it was cooked to perfection. 2nd time- no bacon was put on the salad, 3rd time- no watercress, 4th time- no watercress, tomato, or avocado. The steak alone is enough to keep me ordering it, but come on.. get it together!!!

This was the first time that we had been to this restaurant, though we had discussed it several times. Several new restaurants had opened in the Chestnut Hill area in the past year. My wife does not eat meat though she will eat fish, so sometimes we find the choices limited at some restaurants. She was very happy with both the selection and the quality of the food, as was I. The only minor negative was that the dessert choices were too limited - but we were pretty full by then so it was not a big deal. We do plan to be back - it is our new favorite in the neighborhood.

Del Frisco's Grille is a good alternative to other restaurants in the area. The appetizers are great. Whether hungry for a steak dinner or prefer a salad, there is something for everyone. The restaurant is kid friendly so good to come dine with the familia. Also a nice place to come and catch up with friends. The location is good, right off route 9. There is plenty of parking. The atmosphere is comfortable and even boasts a view of the pond near-by. The service is good. Our waitress allowed us to enjoy each course without rushing us. I would recommend Del Frisco's Grille.

Had a bad experience for dinner but giving this 3 stars because of mgr. Our waitress disappeared after taking our order and getting my first drink. I finished my first drink, waited 5 min and then went to the bar, got another drink came back then she finally came by 5 min later. She did not realize that I had fetched my own drink as she thought I was still on my first one. Food took forever to come. The excuse was that a big party in the back impacted service. I ordered the veal meatloaf. It was 'undercooked' but apparently that is supposedly the way it should be served but the waitress did not explain that. In fairness, my wife loved her meal. Mgr came out to discuss, good guy, discounted the meal, acknowledged and apologized.

Del Frisco's Grill has been a wonderful addition to the Chestnut Hill neighborhood. We have been going there quite often since they opened. This time, there were four of us altogether. One of us ordered the tuna salad (a salad with fresh raw ahi tuna on top) and was very happy with it. Another ordered the brussels sprout flatbread and enjoyed it very much. My husband got a Caesar salad appetizer and a lamb burger which came with french fries. I had the ahi tuna tacos appetizer which is my favorite! It comes with four small taco shells stuffed with raw ( sushi quality) tuna. I also ordered the sliced steak salad. It was like a cob salad with sliced steak in it. We like this restaurant and always enjoy the exceptional service!

The sign of a good steakhouse is when the steak is brought to your table, the waiter/waitress should ask you to cut it to see if it is cooked to your liking. That happens at Del Frisco's. On the other side of the spectrum, they make an amazing double patty burger that goes with a special known as the "triple treat", which is the burger, choice of three different kinds of French fries, followed up with an "adult" milkshake which consists of walnut liqueur, chocolate liqueur, and mixed with vanilla ice cream. You cannot go wrong eating here. You just can't.

Had two very different experiences here. Wonder if they are still working out the kinks in the menu and service. In both cases had great food and food that had issues mostly with excess salt in one case and excess butter on a signature swordfish dish in another. In the first visit had amazing service from a young gentleman, the second time has a young female server who seemed to forget about us. They do steak and salad very well - not a surprise for a steak restaurant
