Diner Reviews
  • "Left much to be desired. Better off going to Del Friscos downtown."

  • "Can't rave enough about DelFrisco's Grille. We went for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. Food, service and just about everything was first class. Even brought a special dessert to the table for my husband. Can't wait to go back and have another "Skinny Cosmo"."

  • "The sign of a good steakhouse is when the steak is brought to your table, the waiter/waitress should ask you to cut it to see if it is cooked to your liking. That happens at Del Frisco's. On the other side of the spectrum, they make an amazing double patty burger that goes with a special known as the "triple treat", which is the burger, choice of three different kinds of French fries, followed up with an "adult" milkshake which consists of walnut liqueur, chocolate liqueur, and mixed with vanilla ice cream. You cannot go wrong eating here. You just can't."

  • "This was my second visit to this particular Del Frisco's, and I'm still impressed. From the drinks, service and taste of food, my wife and I left happy and full. This is a great new spot, and we will definitely be returning!"

  • "Four of us met for dinner relatively early at 6:00. We had our choice of tables (we had made a reservation). Three of us liked our choices (chicken schnitzel and short ribs stroganoff, which was really delicious). The fourth person was not thrilled with her flatbread pizza. Service was friendly and prompt. As the large, attractive room filled, noise increased a bit, but was not bothersome. Would certainly return."

  • "The food, when it arrived and if it was warm was excellent. The service was all ver the place, slow at times and confused -- could have been the nature of the crew available at the end of a 3 day weekend. Also, it may actually be a place that does a lot better when it is busy -- which it was not while we were there."

  • "Not a bad place with good food, but it is ruined by the constant sales push of the waitperson to the manager. She pushed from the first word about the special cocktail. When you do not want it, she looks dejected and sulked away. She comes back later with a push on shrimp cocktail. and on an on and on. When she was done at the end of the meal the manager came by to push desert on us even though we had already said "no thank you" and paid our bill. I'd rather buy a car in one of those little rooms with the finance manager selling me the extended warranty and floor mats.... or maybe a root canal. Are they serious?"

  • "Expected good steak, but the Rib Eye was one of best steaks I've had anywhere, which includes top steakhouses around the country. Finish off with Adult Milkshake and dinner was perfect."

  • "Loved the essence of the room and the service was amazing. However the meal choices seem to be limited to meals that are too big. Nothing light and yummy sticks out on the menue besides salads"

  • "We had a great dinner. We were greeted by nice people, the server was very attentive and actually delivered a piece of bday cake to us on the sidewalk as we were returning to our car. Food was as expected from a Del Friscos eatery, perfect steaks for us carnivores! And the caesar salad was good as were the dirty martinis. Another great dining experience."

  • "We went with another couple. Food choices and special martini were good. We had salads and some of the steaks. It's a much scaled down version of downtown. The place was pretty busy and hoping. Lots of people at the large bar; nice view. It's pretty happening for the suburbs."

  • "I have always very much enjoyed my meals at your restaurant."

  • "there are 2 sinks in the ladies room but only one soap dispenser. When I mentioned this to the hostess she said she was aware and had requested a second container of soap. All she had to do was go out the door, walk a few steps to the supermarket and purchased more soap. Hard to believe there is no backup. Much too much noise to enjoy our dinner."

  • "Dinner was great, the steak & fish were very good. We'll be back soon."

  • "Love the burger and fries and lemon cake! Excellent atmosphere. Would definitely visit again."

  • "I had been looking forward to finally eating here. The food was very disappointing. The prime sliced steak was undercooked and extremely fatty. The potato cake was dry and not appealing. I did enjoy the flatbread with Brussels sprouts and carmelized onions. Del Friscos was not nearly as good as I expected it to be. I'd hesitate to try it again."
    Dined on 6/18/2014
  • "I had a piece of steak, and the butter on top cost $7:00 dollars which I think is ridiculous. My kids were not too happy as the menu did not interest them."

  • "My family and I visited Del Frisco's Grille for Father's Day. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted great! The service was awesome. The restaurant was nice and roomy. We ordered a variety of dishes Mahi Tacos, Filet Mignon, Burgers, Veal Meatloaf, salads, etc. All the dishes were cooked according to order and tasted amazing! Try it out, you will be delighted."

  • "Service was excellent and the menu had great options! Looking forward to return!!!"

  • "Food was only fair but service was excellent. Very expensive for the quality of the food. Would not recommend it."
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "While not large, the dinner menu has choices for everyone. We had the lamb burger and Sole Francese, which were both delicious. The lemon cake and coconut cream pie were exceptional desserts. Service was attentive and prompt without feeling rushed. The atmosphere was very pleasant and elegant in its simplicity. The wine list had innovative choices. All-in-all, we had a great meal."

  • "We love this new addition to Chestnut Hill! The ahi tuna tacos are a fun, delicious, and creative appetizer! We order them every time we eat at Del Frisco's Grille! We also had a delicious mushroom pizza. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and a lamb burger. He enjoyed both. I had the special of the day which was 2 petite fillets with blue cheese. They were served with asparagus, and I chose fries over the potato cake. The service was great."

  • "We have been looking forward to a great steak for a while. I didn't want to drive to Boston and I had such wonderful steaks at their Las Vegas and Dallas locations. Further, I kept telling my wife that Del Frisco's steaks were the best. Well I can't tell you how disappointed we were. The sirloin steak was OK, but no better than you could get a regular restaurant, ley alone Mortons or Capital Grill. The ribeye was grisly with little flavor. I will say the crab cakes were outstanding."

  • "We live in the burbs and it was easier to have dinner in Chestnut Hill rather than driving into Boston. Food was good and service was great but it's just not quite the same ambiance as being downtown. Perhaps a bit more casual?"

  • "I was so excited to go to this restaurant- I was looking forward to it for months. I was disappointed. Our flatbread pizza was undercooked and we had to send it back. My dinner was cold and I had to send it back. For this high end restaurant and high prices it was disappointing. The parmasen fried did bit have much taste and my sliced steak was just ok. I expected the food to be much better tasting. Maybe it was an off night?"

  • "The food was good, not great. The wine list was grossly overpriced. I can see 2-1/2 or 3 times retail but 4x is excessive."

  • "A great spot for a girls night out or other fun occasions. Great atmosphere, good food."

  • "Food was good but not exceptional. Like most restaurants these days, way too noisy. My friend & I literally had to shout across the table to be heard. Had the feeling we were being rushed out to turnover the table."

  • "Our waitress Candice was one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Her recommendations were spot on and super friendly. Great food, great service. I would definitely recommend. "

  • "we all enjoyed our meals and agreed we'd go back for sure, the food was very tasty but not overwhelming, what was supposed to be hot was and we were served with enough time between out first flatbread and main meals to fully enjoy each."
    Dined on 5/27/2014
  • "I found the menu not very interesting. The prices were very high for what you were getting. The wine list was also very expensive."

  • "Went here to celebrate after graduating from law school. Best crabcakes I've ever had, damn good steak, and huge desserts too. Would recommend and visit again. "

  • "I prefer this venue over the downtown facility - I think the steaks are better here, possibly due to less stress in the kitchen? Great food in a slightly less formal atmosphere along with their stellar service is a perfect combination. The lemon cake is wonderful!"

  • "Flatbreads were bland as were tuna tacos Have had them many times before and they were usually great!"

  • "Our son had just graduated from Boston College and it was the perfect place to go and celebrate this wonderful event! Great food and excellent service!"

  • "For a better burger, consider lunching at Del Frisco's Grill chestnut Hill. The beef is prepared to taste and the sloppy sauce is everything but sloppy. It provided to burger with an overall unique taste. The burger is served with fries, which are crisp and salted but not too salty. If you are looking for a relaxing environment for lunch or dinner, then this is the place to be. "

  • "We've eaten here some five times..the food is mostly always good but the service always odd. We booked at 11.15a having to be somewhere at 12.30p and OpenTable had it as opening at 11a. We showed up and the place was closed. I called them to be told OpenTable was not correct and should have updated the times..no-one at that time offered to come down and let us in for our 11.15a booking. When we did come in at 11.30a, the table we were seated at had salt scattered around it and of the 12 utensils for three people we had to send three pieces back for having crusty dried food on them. The food was ok, but all else finally put us off this place for good. It purports to be a higher level restaurant than it actually is esp for the price."

  • "We love this restaurant and would highly recommend , especially the grilled artichoke appetizer and veal meatloaf. The coconut cream pie is outstanding ... The best I ever had. "

  • "Great service (waitress was really exceptional). It was hot and very sunny (early Mother's Day dinner). I think they are still working out the kinks but should be a great place to meet and have a quick (very good) meal. Limited menu but everything was delicious. Fun, loud place to see a few friends and have a bite. "

  • "Service was very poor even though the restaurant was not very busy when we first arrived. Our reservations were at 6:15 and we were promptly seated. After waiting 15-20 minutes, we tracked down our waitress. 40 minutes later and we finally had our drinks and we proceeded to place our order. Appetizers and main course took a bit, but probably not unreasonable for Mother's Day. My dad order a tenderloin...cooked medium. Instead it came out medium rear. We sent it back and after 5-10 minutes...it came back medium well/well. All in all, the entire dinner lasted close to 2.5 hours. The waitress was pleasant enough, but not attentive or around enough for a high-end restaurant."
