The waiter recommended it because when the meat is cooked with the bone in it apparently absorbs some of the marrow and is just that much more tender and flavorful. It was amazing. My boyfriend could not think of another time he had as good a piece of steak... I ordered the lamb and it was also delicious. We ordered a side of crab gnocchi... the sides were expensive and we probably could have done without considering we had an appetizer (cheesesteak eggrolls, which I think are better at continental but they were still good here). With 3 drinks, an appetizer to split, two entrees and a side our total was $182 before tax and tip. I always gravitate to the bone-in Ribeye, and as usual, I was not disappointed. The steak was perfectly cooked, extremely tender, and very tasty. Others at our table had a bone-in NY Strip (one of the daily specials), three small filet medallions, each with different preparation (also a daily special), and a sesame-seared tuna. Caesar salad lettuce was nice and cold. Our group had salmon, crab cakes, chicken, and steaks and everyone was pleased. The physical building is beautiful and the tables nice and big so you are not crowded by other diners. When the waitress told us the specials she gave us the price of each and I liked that. I rarely order specials because too often I have been caught off guard by the price and this took the guesswork out and removed that concern. If you are going with three people, order a filet and a strip. Bottom line portions for both entrees and sides are huge, but at those prices you are getting what you pay for. Two people order one side, four - five people two sides. Both your doctor and wallet will be happy. They are more then happy to hear you order a $60.00 steak for two. Don't feel obligated to have each person order an entree. But back to the review, its a modern hipper version of Capital Grill with some beautiful hostesses and waitstaff and some amazing steaks that are perfect. It was a recommendation from a couple of work associates, and it did not disappoint!! If you are looking to have a dinner here, I recommend setting it up with Damon. He was our server, and did not disappoint. The place was busy, but everything came in a timely manner, and was delicious. The decor of the place is beautiful as an old bank or depository. The food, though pricey, was as advertised providing a very memorable experience for all of us. The steak was done to each preference and the side dishes offered a tasty distraction from the beef. I would recommend this for a special occassion - the wine list is about the best you will find and the food just fantastic. My only caution is that you can expect to spend about $100 per guest or more.
