We are usually visitor's to the Grapevine area. The parking was simple for a Saturday night. We had our reservations at 7:30pm and were promptly seated without a waiting period. To keep it simple the experience was very pleasant. There was a not a moment in our dining that we were not pleased with the overall experience of our visit. Finally, we made it to dessert ~ stuffed, but could not pass up. The table shared the Mousse, Bread Pudding and the wonderful Nocello drink. He was spot on when it came to food recommendations however and the quality of the food was great. What really made me unhappy was that when we were asked if we were there for a special occasion we told them it was our anniversary. Then at the end of the meal, we said we did not want a dessert (meal had been fantastic). The waiter then presented a cheesecake with a candle and said "Happy Anniversary" Now, neither of us like cheescake, but we thought the gesture was very nice.
Then when I received my final bill there was the cheesecake on the bill. I did not want to disappointmy wife so I said nothing, and the $9 on 1 $225 bill was not a big deal. Husband had N.Y. strip steak and eggs, steak had gristle that ran the length of the steak so most of the steak was not edible. This came with garlic Texas toast which was burnt. Why serve toast when they serve the best bread ever? I had the filet medallions which was actually two very thin cut pieces of filet served over their chateau potatotes. It was 3-4 ounces at most. We arrived at 11 am and left at 12:15 pm. Kitchen was slow. Table behind us was seated when we arrived and finally got their food as we were leaving. Hope they complained to manager.
