While DelFrisco's served us a beautifully cooked steak, we found the menu to be unoriginal, the setting to be trite, and, if we hadn't gone for resturant week, extremely overpriced.

I thought it was good, not great. I had not been back to this Dallas institution in 12 yrs - it had not changed one bit. I would never bring children to this restarant as it is crowded, loud and large. Good steak - good for special occasions. Probably won't go back for another 12 years.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 8/16/2008
We had a horrible experience at Del Frisco's, and will not return. It was our first time to eat at this restaurant, and we were really looking forward to it because we'd heard and read so many glowing reports. The food was good, but not exceptional. The surroundings were very average - we sat at one of the tables in the upstairs dining area, and it was not much better than eating at a cafeteria. There also was weird 70's Motown music playing, which was out of place and annoying. What really ruined the evening, however, was the bad service we received from our waiter. He was absent, unattentive, and even argumentative. We had to flag the waitress serving the tables near us for service.

I had wanted to dine at Del Frisco's since moving to Dallas 4 years ago. I was pleased with the food, the service was great and the reservation was more than timely. The seating was a little lacking. The music was quite loud and with televisions on over our table it felt like people were looking at us while we ate. The parking was a weird situation. We saw all of the valet staff parking their vehicles at the hotel next door, however when we parked their they said we would be towed. I talked to the Valet at the podium and he said not to worry. So it was just a bit confusing. Overall, Del Frisco's lived up to my expectations and I anticipate dining there again in the near future. Wonderful filet mingon with a truffle butter sauce!

Our meal was delicious. We were very pleased with everything except the service we received when we discovered the valet company had taken our car off premise and it had been broken into with our GPS stolen. The restaurant had absolutely no sympathy for the situation saying it is an outside valet company. Well guess what? It is an outside valet company that is parking my car while I'm eating in YOUR restaurant! It represents you!! There is really no where around to park without using the valet service and, since I cannot trust that service, I won't be coming back to your restaurant. This is unfortunate because we really liked the food.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Was pretty dissappointed. My wife and I were escorted to an upstairs room away from the main restaurant area where we were put with all of the other diners who were there for restaurant week. We were given a limited menu which didn't bother us at first because one of the items was the Filet Minon which should be a great dish at this restaurant known for its steaks. My wife and I were both very disappointed with the asparagus soup that came before the main dish, and we were also very disappointed with the steak (tough and chewy). The mashed potatos however were excellent and desert was very good. Service was fine however it was obvious that they wanted to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Doubt we'll go back.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2007

If you set a reservation at this restaurant, make it 30 minutes before you actually want to be seated. We made a reservation for 7:30 pm, walked in at 7:25 pm and were told to go wait at the bar. 25 minutes later, we were seated. Very tight seating: I was bumping chairs with a person at the table behind me as we had to scoot up whenever the other wanted to get up. Peppercorn Steak was ordered Medium, and it came out overcooked. I had the opportunity to return the steak, but did not because it took them so long to seat us and I did not want to wait anymore. The dessert we ordered was served in a wine glass. Presentation here was cheap, not expected at a restaurant like this. Restaurant was very loud as well. We will not be returning.

Having eaten at Del Frisco's in Ft. Worth but never Dallas until now, I have to say that I prefer the ambience of Ft. Worth. Perhaps that is because it has a different clientelle or maybe the Restaurant Week offerings drew a different crowd in Dallas. The food, however, is excellent at both places, as is the service.

The steak absolutely fantastic.... melt in your mouth flavor!! And the strawberry cheesecake was the best I've ever had!! My only complaint would be the noise -- it's so loud in there that you can't even hear the people across the table from you .... so take a group of 4 only - 6 and you won't be able to communicate!

The steaks were excellent, the drinks were large, the service was good, but the edge was taken off the evening after waiting 50 minutes for our table. We were not in the book and they failed to find us until I mentioned Open Table. They hadn't transferred reservations made after 3 PM to the book (ours was made around 4). They should install a cutoff time, as some restaurants do, or honor reservations made. Next time, I would be hesitant to make a reservation with you rather than making it with them directly.

Our waiter was knowledgeable and very solicitous. (We actually got a personal note from him in the mail later thanking us for dining with them). The food was wonderful. I would say this is not the ideal place for a romantic dinner for two if that is what you are after. I would say it is a more masculine restaurant and would be ideal for business dinners. The filet mignon my husband and I each ordered was flawless. My only problem was that the dining room was very cold the night we dined there. They offered me a shawl and turned down the nearest fan, however.
