  • "If you're in Chicago and looking for a Fabulous Steak, go to Del Frisco's. The steak choices are phenomenal and they're even better when eating them paired with one of their great wine choices."

  • "I went here for my girlfriend's birthday and let me say everything was fantastic! We had the filet mignon, and it was the best steak I have ever had in my life! It just melted in my mouth! We were very satisfied and will definitely be coming back!"

  • "This place was recommended by a co-worker as a good place to celebrate our anniversary. The food was great and the service was excellent. will make it a regular place for special occasions."

  • "Del Frisco's has all the bases covered with superbly prepared prime steaks and some interesting non-steak entres. Wine list is voluminous and a good read. You have to really scour it for anything affordable, but I found a couple of bottles. Service is just right- not obsequious, not slow, but perfectly timed, allowing you to complete a course before the next is delivered. All-in-all, among the very best steakhouse experiences in America."

  • "There are so many steak houses in a three block radius that it must be hard to compete for business, but they do a nice job."

  • "Excellent food, great waitstaff. Purposely told us our table was not ready so we had to go to the bar (smart move on their part). Bartender's were not friendly. 45 minutes later (and 3 trips to the hostess stand), they finally sat us. Open tables abound."

  • "We loved our first dinner together at Del Frisco's in Chicago! Our son, who lives in the John Hancock Building, recommended the restaurant so we decided to have a late birthday celebration for him the other night. He ordered one of the specials, the three small filets, all prepared differently. They looked absolutely delicious! The side orders were shared by all and the entrees were great portions and outstanding. All in all, a fantastic evening enjoyed by the four of us!"

  • "Del Frisco's is easily my favorite steakhouse in Chicago. Always top notch food, great waitstaff, fantastic sommelier. Every dish I've eaten - favs include the petite filet, filet trio, king crab gnocchi, onion rings, cheesecake, banana bread pudding - has been delicious. Chris, the sommelier, has been wonderful at helping us select wines to fit all sorts of different moods. Jeremy and Michael have been great servers and very personable people. If you haven't tried Del Frisco's, do it. You will not be disappointed!"

  • "The place should be seen and a GREAT expensive wine list and bar but in a city with GREAT steak houses it is not quite there. Go to Gipsons or one of the other steak places for better steaks and larger veg at somewhat cheaper prices. But go once here for the show."

  • "Not to impressed with this top restaurant. They need to step it up a bit on the food and service. I tried the recommended bone in filet and too my disappointment wasn't cooked to perfection. The salad, potatoes and bread were nothing extraordinarily. In fact quite bland. My guest had the crab legs which were tasty but somewhat mushy to me."

  • "Del Frisco's is as good as any steak house in Chicago (think Gibson's et al.), and the atmosphere is better than the others"

  • "This place catered to my every need to make this surprise birthday dinner come to life. I had eaten here about a year and a half ago for another birthday dinner. At that time all I had to do was show up. The host and everyone else took so much stress and pressure off of me. The food of course was great, the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends as I am already planning our next dinner here."

  • "A spacious dining room provides the backdrop for engaging service and delicious food. Emphasis on hospitality was noted. Especially loved the crab cake app and lemon cake dessert. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "Went there for my birthday. Waited 3 months as the Chicago winter was tough to get out in. Chicago Del's is in the Esquire Theater building. Very large room, not crowded at all like you are at some of the other big name steak places. We sat in a window booth overlooking Oak Street. Just beautiful. The drinks were excellent. Very important to me. My wife had the mushroom soup which she said was 5 stars. I had the Del's salad. Very good. Has others have said, the bread was ordinary. Del needs to get some top shelf Chicago bread in here. My wife had a small filet, I had the bone in Rib Eye. Both cooked to perfection. We had mushrooms and the lobster mac and cheese. 5 stars! Service was spectacular. Thanks for the tour the restaurant."

  • "The food was awesome. It's absolutely a special occasion location. I've been here a few times! I had a special occasion last night and for a dinner for two - we spent about 1/2 of one months rent. However, the food was worth it! A great alternative is to go for lunch! Lunch is pretty reasonable! Atmosphere is awesome, Service is pretty great, Food is amazing! Go!"

  • "Del Frisco's is one of the few Chicago steakhouses that backed up their menu prices with an exceptional dining experience. Their massive wine list & four-story wine cellar were impressive. Every aspect of our meal was impeccable and service was excellent."

  • "I really enjoyed celebrating at Del Frisco's with my hubby of 17 years. It was his birthday, and we had a great time with great food. I will say even for a special occasion, it was a bit pricey, but the food and service was wonderful. I will definitely go back!!"

  • "my wife and I had a terrific didning experience. The servivce was excellent, the staff was gracious and overall a terrific meal. I would say the only thing that we we were a bit turned off by was the decision to let other patrons in the restaraunt that were walking around withe there pants pulled way down with an errant smell of Marijuana. I mean their underwear were exposed half way down their bottoms. This to me is not acceptable and I can't see why managment would see it that way."

  • "The wine list was the biggest I've ever seen and the steak was outstanding. My wife and I felt though that for the rich food that you get they didn't have anything to offset all the rich taste. That and the price was on the high end. Good for a special occasion but over all we felt that it was too expensive for another visit. Their are plenty of great steak houses in Chicago that will cost a good $50 less."

  • "Not sure what happened, but I was here over a year ago and it was classy, everyone was well dressed, and the ambience was right on. This time around the drinks stunk, over six people were wearing sweat pants and looked like they were getting ready to watch a basketball game. Tragic. This gorgeous steakhouse has definitely lost its luster."

  • "We come into the city every few weeks and Del Frisco is always the first place we go. John the manager is a delight to visit with and the ambience is fantastic. The wine list is amazing and the only thing I could say is that the waiter was good but not as good as they have been in the past and the sides were served hot but not sizzling hot as normal. Honestly we were in late but it is still fantastic. We went to Benny's chop house last night and Capital Grill the night before and Del Frisco's is head and shoulders above the rest."

  • "Del Friscos is a small chain steak house that is consistent with service, food, wine selection, and experience. The steaks are cook perfect to order with upon presentation at the table, patrons are always asked to cut down the middle to verify level of doneness. Not only is the wine list is extensive but the wine director is right on in his opinion and the recommendations are right on everytime. The only thing that is missing (due to Illinois smoking laws) is the cigar lounge that still exist in their Denver location. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but you get what you pay for. I certainly will be back again now that I found their Chicago location."

  • "I've been here probably 3 or 4 times & have always had great service but Anthony was our server on Saturday night & I loved him. Usually servers are clueless or overly annoying but Anthony was sincere & attentive without being over-done. Lamb was a little too fatty. Otherwise the wine was great & so was the banana bread dessert!"

  • "We could not have had a more perfect dining experience. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was out of this world. Lovely decor and city views. A wonderful evening from start to finish. Thank you, we cannot wait to return!"

  • "Del Frisco's is not for the low to lower middle class diner. The a la carte menu, chic, urban, upscale setting and attention to detail are for those who are used to being treated with special attentiveness and know the difference between the product of a cook and a chef. The food was memorable, bursting with flavor, and both well described and paired with beverages suggested by our wait staff. This is the place to take someone that you are trying to impress with your "connaissance de la vie en rose"."

  • "We enjoyed our meal, but not the music. As we approached the door on Oak Street, we asked each other where the load music was coming from. Once inside we realized that it was coming from the restaurant and it continued throughout the restaurant - the same music blaring outside was playing loudly inside! The music did not match the ambiance inside at all. In addition, the menu was printed on card stock, like a menu you would see at a neighborhood sandwich joint. So many things did not make sense for a place charging $59 for a steak special! Service was very nice and the wine selection fantastic (unlike the menu, the wine list was presented in a beautiful leather book). The Sunday Special Filet meal was a bargain and was delicious."

  • "Place is fantastic. I am not a fan of Sullivan's so I was apprenhensive about going to a restaurant in their chain but as soon as I walked in was impressed with decor and staff. Service was great , I had 22 oz ribeye and my wife had 12 oz filet. I am a steak lover and have eaten everywhere downtown and my ribeye was amoung if not the best ever. I will return."

  • "Chicago is known for great steak places, add this one to the list of ones to visit. The food was excellent, the steak right up there with the best. The calamari is killer. Service was fantastic, very attentive and made experience that much better. Decor is not like your typical steak restaurant, it's more on the hip side rather than the traditional old stodgy feel."

  • "Steak was of excellent quality. Vegetables as well. A very good, but pricy experience. The wine list is extensive, deep, and worldly. Sommelier knows his inventory. Selection is great, but many wines are a bit expensive... Will return for sure."

  • "This is my second visit here, this time to celebrate my son's birthday with a party of 6. First of all, he was greeted multiple times by the staff to wish him "Happy Birthday," and was comped a dessert. The atmosphere is buzzing, in a theater like setting (since the space was a theater!) We had the best stone crab claws ever! Expensive but worth it. You can't even get them in Florida regularly! Our steaks were amazing: big, tasty, perfectly cooked. Some got crab cakes which they loved. Sides of corn and spinach were great. The wine list is huge, wih a good rane of prices. The staff, all good-looking, friendly and attentive, was excellent. It was a perfect night, and we will be back. Can't find a better piece of steak anywhere!"

It was a Saturday night out with my wife, and Del Frisco's delivered a tremendous meal, fantastic view, and all around great vibe, resulting in an excellent dining experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The quality of the food was superb. We will definitely return."

  • "The absolutely best service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I have been here three times and have always had an excellent meal! They have the best calamari and crab-cakes! It is a bit expensive, but in my estimation, worth every penny!"
