Diner Reviews
  • "We were seated right on time by a competent but not particularly friendly hostess. Our waiter, Nathan, provided the most knowledgable information about what to order and how to order it so it would be cooked the way we like it. He was attentive and personable, making the whole experience even more fun because of his friendly style. Everyone at the table agreed it was the best steak dinner we all had ever eaten. The side dishes were delicious beyond belief, and we got a complementary dessert because we were celebrating a milestone event. Great view of the harbor and we totally enjoyed the entire evening."

  • "Food was great - we had bone in sirloin and filet that were high quality and perfectly prepared. We did not lack for attention from wait staff, however, the number of different servers was a bit over whelming. The atmosphere was a step above a good buzz bordering on chaotic. Happened to have two tables with babies near by which did not add to the occasion. I expect a bit more civility when spending $150 per person."

  • "Excellent food. The service was attentive but there were a few errors in the orders and I had to ask several times why a drink that I had ordered had not arrived. But we had a great evening and will be back."

  • "Went there for my spouse's birthday had great service and dinner outdoor."

  • "Me and 2 friends went there on Friday night. It has a nice view and valet parking is $16 (reasonable). We had the crabcake and calamari as app. which were delicious, and so was the bread. We ordered a pineapple martini which was the best drink I ever had, I would highly recommend it. Then 2 of us had the crabcake ( I know we love seafood), while the 3rd member of our party had a trio of 3/4 ounces steack. We were again very pleased with our meal. The servers were attentive and overall the service was great. The place was noisy which one would expect for the time/location. Our tab was $250, my friend's trio of small steacks costs $61 alone while the martini was $28. To conclude, if you don't mind the price tag, then you will love this place."

  • "Our waiter, Jason, was seriously the best waiter I ever had."

  • "After hearing great things about Del Friscos, I went with friends on Thursday night. The gentleman who greeted me at the hostess stand was aloof and seemed more interested in the hostesses. After being seated the waiter greeted us promptly but further service yet friendly was slow taking 3 hours for three people to eat no apps no dessert. Menu doesn't describe food items (what is a del salad? Del potatoes?) The food was good. I orders the special $61 it came with no sides. For that cost I can get a steak with a vegetable that is just as good in some cases better at several other Boston restaurants for less money. Finally the noise level was loud. I couldn't clearly hear members of my party the waiter when he explained the specials."

  • "Brought my special lady there for our one year anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations. The ambiance, the service, and most importantly... the food... were simply out of this world. I'm a man who loves a great steak and this place serves up extraordinary pieces of meat. I've been to all of the major steakhouses in Boston, and while they're all great, Del Frisco's is hands down my favorite now."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary with our children. The attention the entire staff gave to all of us was superb. Our food and drinks were outstanding. Always enjoy our visits to Del Friscos!"

  • "Not our first time at Del Frisco's Double Eagle; as always, it remains a great dining experience. The view is stunning, and the ambiance is vibrant (if a little loud); it's a fun evening when you want to celebrate a bit, but do be philosophically and mentally prepared for the final bill. The service is exceptional and attentive, and the wine list has good depth and breadth. The steaks and sides are superb (love the onion rings and the lobster mac'n'cheese), although the boiled lobster was--uncharacteristically--a little tough this time. Regardless, we'll be back."

  • "Almost all the food was really good including my wife's choice of filet and crab combo. The service was outstanding. However, I ordered a prime rib-eye steak medium rare. Almost 1/4 of the steak was fat and gristle and the remaining meat was tough. I don't expect this from a first-rate steak house. I get better choice rib-eye steaks from the store."

  • "I have been to many of the High End steak houses in the Boston Area. Del Friscos is now one of my new favorites! Everything was excellent and every steak in our party of 4 was cooked to perfection!"

  • "We had reservations at 930, arrived a little early and requested a table outside . There are only 10-12 tables outside so they said it would be a wait . We only waited 30 minutes which was great. Really enjoyed our dinner as always ! Great service . Love this place"

  • "Party of 4 birthday dinner - from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was top-notch! Our server Felix provided impeccable attentiveness, accommodated even the silliest of requests, was thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The food was exceptional as usual... Oysters were the best we've ever had, steaks cooked to perfection, just the right size of appetizers and sides, and desserts to die for. We probably stayed longer than the usual dining parties but were never given an indication that the restaurant wanted to turn our table. An exceptional experience!!!"

  • "My family went to Del Frisco's to celebrate two birthdays. We were not disappointed! The service was the best we have received in years, and the food was outstanding. We all ordered off the Prime Pair menu - choice of 1 of 3 salads, and 8 oz filet with the choice of a crab cake, scallops, or shrimp, and the choice of a family style side (each person can order a different side) for $49 pp. That deal cannot be matched at any other steakhouse in Boston, and the food was phenomenal. They do a similar deal at lunch for around $24. If you want amazing food and outstanding service in a beautiful atmosphere without taking out a second mortgage, this is your place!"

  • "We sat on the balcony and while the food was good, service was slow and disorganized. We had to wait with empty dishes for nearly 20 minutes before we finally asked a different server for our check. After we paid our bill, an even different server asked us if we wanted something else to drink. Definitely not conducive to a "business lunch." Female servers are dressed in skirts barely covering and fishnets! That would be appropriate for a sports bar, not a restaurant of this caliber- not even for lunch. Service was definitely disappointing."

  • "Business lunch outside. Staff was very courteous, knowledgeable in the menu and was able to make suggestions to further assist the wonderful dining experience. Pricing for lunch was reasonable for the awesome food. We will use your restaurant again. Online reservations was also perfect."

  • "Erick our waiter was outstanding, did a great job informing us and had a great personality. The Lamb Chops were outstanding, but my girl friend's filet mignon was not cooked to her liking, was a little disappointed. Other than that all was good night,"

  • "The fix menu was wonderful. The 8 oz filet was more than enough and was cooked perfectly. The Del's salad and the corn and spinach side dishes were so good. My only complaint was the noise level was extremely high and very uncomfortable for me."

  • "I ordered a filet medium and it came bloody red (do they know how to cook? ) Waiter told me to cut it and let it cook on the plate..really?? Steak was good but not like Morton's ( which is soft as butter) If you like cheesecake...don't get it. We didn't even eat it. The bread pudding was excellent. No reason to go back..."

  • "Del Frisco Boston is set in a beautiful location, in the ever expanding Seaport district. The dining room, lounge area and deck are beautifully laid out. Naturally, the steaks, appetizers and desserts are outstanding. Our steaks were perfectly cooked, and we enjoyed an amazing Gnocci as a side dish that was wonderful. For dessert, we chose the chocolate souffle, which I hightly recommend."

  • "Waitress was awesome, 22oz Bone-in was incredible, definitely will be returning. Appetizers, wine, martinis were perfect not a single complaint. The dessert Pecan cheesecake was comp'd because of our anniversary was a very nice touch and delicious."

  • "Pouring rain, valet service with no embrellas. Not a good way to start. Food was just average. Drinks were flat (club soda tastwed like water). Didn't like all of the wait staff standing around in a group laughing louder than the patrons."

  • "I am a great steak chef! I rarely eat steak out because I cook it so well at home and on our boat. But! The filet mignon rocked and my husband had the bone in ribeye als outstanding. The crab cakes were delightful also. The wait staff was excellent. Kudos to our server in training. She was terrific and took great care of us and our friends. This was our first time definitely not our last. A memorable evening! Thanks to a great staff and menu. Wine list was impressive also."

  • "Del Frisco in Boston is an outstanding restaurant that always comes through with a tremendous meal. As a steak aficionado I can attest that the steaks at Del are some of the best you will ever find. Was there last week for an anniversary dinner and the food was outstanding and service was attentive. Only complaint I have is that we had to move 2x before getting to an appropriate table. When I made the reservation I requested a window view of the Boston Harbor. The maitre de acknowledged this when we arrived but then proceeded to seat us at a table for 8 as far away from the window as possible. Had to request to move to one of the already empty window tables. Found that not in compliance with Del's white glove treatment."

  • "From start to finish, everything about this place was first class. Sadly, we got to the restaurant a little late due to traffic and needed to be out in an hour to catch a show. Our waitress took care of us and made sure we were out in time without making us feel rushed. The food was melt in your mouth delicious! I also liked that there were not a crazy amount of options on the menu, but a solid list to choose from. Great atmosphere...very relaxing, diverse drink selections. Definitely a little pricier than most, but well worth it so either save up or go for a special occasion."

  • "We have been here multiple times, for special occasions and had wonderful experiences. This time was so very disappointing. My steak was very rare when I asked for it medium and it was highly seasoned with pepper. The broccoli was cold and the potatoes were very unappetizing to look at and didn't taste fresh. Service and view were good. Did not complain while I was there. Banana bread pudding was delicious as always. Had looked forward to a special night out and my expectations were not met which made the bill also unappetizing."

  • "Del Frisco's is a winner! Service and attentiveness from everyone was "Tops". The food is excellent, although very expensive when sides and drinks are added in, and the noise level is high. But, both are expected in the top location in the City. The views are fantastic. However, my prime strip had far more fat than should have existed, but it was tasty. My wife had the bone-in prime for @ $11 more, and hers was fine. Although we arrived 25 minutes early, and our table and others were empty & set, they would not seat us, nor the other patrons that we observed, until we had an "opportunity" to visit or wait at the Bar. 2 drinks cost $27 plus tip. We enjoyed a wonderful evening, but at these prices, everything should be "perfect"."

  • "WE were celebrating our 51st anniversary and were greeted enthusiastically by many manages and waitstaff, along with red rose petals on the table! The food was top notch as usual and we had a great view of the harbor. I would recommend this to everyone. The summer special at $49 was a steal and very delicious."

  • "After hearing so many positive things about this restaurant, we decided to celebrate our anniversary and my husband's birthday at Del Frisco's. We could not have been happier! It was a very comfortable setting and the staff members were very genuine and could not do enough for you. We had a perfect spot as requested on our Open Table reservation and it was decorated with rose petals and a card to commemorate the occasion. The Calamari, Lobster Mac, Rib Eye, Crab Cake and Filet could not have been better. The steaks were cooked to perfection and it was the best crab cake I have ever tasted. We have been to other steak houses, but feel this is definitely a step above - we look forward to a return visit!"
