Diner Reviews
  • "Service was poor-My wife waited for steak sauce until half the steak was gone. Ordered sirloin strip for my step son and they sent bone in sirloin and charged me for that. Food was cool including steak potatoes and vegetables."

  • "First, let me say that we dine out 2-3 times a week. Typically we visit newer restaurants but mix in old favorites as well. We tend to look for places that offer exceptional service with a great wine list. Place was a bit noisy. That is OK because it is an obvious tourist attraction. The prices were very high for the quality of food. I had the Salmon, which was priced at $35! The portion was 3 inches by 3 inches. I have had larger portions for half the price at restaurants close to this place. Seafood is not supposed to be that over priced. I ordered brussel sprouts and we got asparagus. I ordered a beer, and it was $12!!! I have purchased the same beer at other places for $6.00. Service was OK, not great. I would not recommend this place."

  • "I set a reservation for 4 at 830pm and arrived at 8am. Our party increased to 6 and the reservation were bumped to 845pm which was ok. We didn't get seated until 930pm and dinner was served cold at 11pm. I would never go here again on a weekend. I would rather have the place to be honest with reservations and possibly turn me away."

  • "We made reservations for 4 on a Friday night in late July 2014. 1. It is a very loud restaurant. We were sitting in one of the booths and we had to raise our voices significantly to carry on a conversation (similar to being in a loud bar or club.. sans music). Attempts at any meaningful conversation were abandoned after 10 mins. 2. The view is irrelevant if you are not seated in the first row against the windows. We made reservations but were not seated with "a view" (<20% of tables have it). 3. The service was surprisingly slow. We sat down at 7:00 pm and got our food at just after 9:00 pm. 4. The food was pretty good but not great. The clam chowder was terrible. 5. Bill = $307. Not worth it. Abe&Louis is better."

  • "We had a wonderful steak outside. But I'm glad we didn't eat inside, it was Friday night though. The noise level was very high. The filet steak was excellent."

  • "We had booked this restaurant for my daughter's 40th birthday dinner. We had specifically requested a window seat. I called the day of the dinner to make certain we would not have a problem. I was assured we would be taken care of. When we got to the restaurant we were no where near the window. I told the hostess that we had requested a window seat. She said they did not have any other tables to sit us at. After we sat down for about 10 minutes they came over and said they had just had a cancellation and could move us slightly closer to the window. So we moved slightly closer. Our food was good, not great. But it took over 45 minutes for our order to be taken. Once the order was taken it took another 75 minutes to get the food."

  • "Our server Nick was phenomenal. Apps were great, drinks and side dishes fabulous! I was slightly disappointed with the large amount of fat on my bone in strip steak, most of it was to chewy to eat.:( I will give it another try since everything else was great."

  • "beautiful space with attentive service. however, food was unacceptable start to finish. spongey shrimp, flavorless oysters, thin acidic bordeaux, withered ceasar salad, overly buttery steaks. have been to the nyc location several times and it consistently impresses. i have no idea what's wrong with boston. i've had better meals at longhorn steakhouse."

  • "This place is always packed but the view in the summer is outstanding and the food is great. You must make a reservation. People walk over from the convention center and they're willing to wait for a table. That packs the bar."

  • "After waiting for over an hour between appetizers and our main courses, our food finally arrived, with the staff blaming it on one of our choices, the duck. While the other food (a filet and crab cake) were pretty tasty, our over all experience was lack luster due to the long wait time."

  • "We were celebrating a birthday and seated next to a very large table. It was so noisy it really destroyed the experience of a celebratory meal. We couldn't even talk to each other. We have enjoyed several previous meals at Del Frisco's."

  • "The Del Friscos "Double Eagle" steakhouse is named for their Double Eagle strip steak and rightly so! I ordered this somewhat pricey strip and it was worth every penny. Three inches thick, perfectly prepared, and mixed with their side of mushrooms it was a most memorable dinner. My wife ordered their rib steak and it was the quintessential rib eye - perfectly cooked and delicious. We added a lobster tail to share and it was huge and equally delicious!"

  • "We were seated right on time by a competent but not particularly friendly hostess. Our waiter, Nathan, provided the most knowledgable information about what to order and how to order it so it would be cooked the way we like it. He was attentive and personable, making the whole experience even more fun because of his friendly style. Everyone at the table agreed it was the best steak dinner we all had ever eaten. The side dishes were delicious beyond belief, and we got a complementary dessert because we were celebrating a milestone event. Great view of the harbor and we totally enjoyed the entire evening."

  • "Food was great - we had bone in sirloin and filet that were high quality and perfectly prepared. We did not lack for attention from wait staff, however, the number of different servers was a bit over whelming. The atmosphere was a step above a good buzz bordering on chaotic. Happened to have two tables with babies near by which did not add to the occasion. I expect a bit more civility when spending $150 per person."

  • "Excellent food. The service was attentive but there were a few errors in the orders and I had to ask several times why a drink that I had ordered had not arrived. But we had a great evening and will be back."

  • "Me and 2 friends went there on Friday night. It has a nice view and valet parking is $16 (reasonable). We had the crabcake and calamari as app. which were delicious, and so was the bread. We ordered a pineapple martini which was the best drink I ever had, I would highly recommend it. Then 2 of us had the crabcake ( I know we love seafood), while the 3rd member of our party had a trio of 3/4 ounces steack. We were again very pleased with our meal. The servers were attentive and overall the service was great. The place was noisy which one would expect for the time/location. Our tab was $250, my friend's trio of small steacks costs $61 alone while the martini was $28. To conclude, if you don't mind the price tag, then you will love this place."

  • "After hearing great things about Del Friscos, I went with friends on Thursday night. The gentleman who greeted me at the hostess stand was aloof and seemed more interested in the hostesses. After being seated the waiter greeted us promptly but further service yet friendly was slow taking 3 hours for three people to eat no apps no dessert. Menu doesn't describe food items (what is a del salad? Del potatoes?) The food was good. I orders the special $61 it came with no sides. For that cost I can get a steak with a vegetable that is just as good in some cases better at several other Boston restaurants for less money. Finally the noise level was loud. I couldn't clearly hear members of my party the waiter when he explained the specials."

  • "Brought my special lady there for our one year anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations. The ambiance, the service, and most importantly... the food... were simply out of this world. I'm a man who loves a great steak and this place serves up extraordinary pieces of meat. I've been to all of the major steakhouses in Boston, and while they're all great, Del Frisco's is hands down my favorite now."

  • "Not our first time at Del Frisco's Double Eagle; as always, it remains a great dining experience. The view is stunning, and the ambiance is vibrant (if a little loud); it's a fun evening when you want to celebrate a bit, but do be philosophically and mentally prepared for the final bill. The service is exceptional and attentive, and the wine list has good depth and breadth. The steaks and sides are superb (love the onion rings and the lobster mac'n'cheese), although the boiled lobster was--uncharacteristically--a little tough this time. Regardless, we'll be back."

  • "Almost all the food was really good including my wife's choice of filet and crab combo. The service was outstanding. However, I ordered a prime rib-eye steak medium rare. Almost 1/4 of the steak was fat and gristle and the remaining meat was tough. I don't expect this from a first-rate steak house. I get better choice rib-eye steaks from the store."

  • "I have been to many of the High End steak houses in the Boston Area. Del Friscos is now one of my new favorites! Everything was excellent and every steak in our party of 4 was cooked to perfection!"

  • "We had reservations at 930, arrived a little early and requested a table outside . There are only 10-12 tables outside so they said it would be a wait . We only waited 30 minutes which was great. Really enjoyed our dinner as always ! Great service . Love this place"

  • "Party of 4 birthday dinner - from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was top-notch! Our server Felix provided impeccable attentiveness, accommodated even the silliest of requests, was thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The food was exceptional as usual... Oysters were the best we've ever had, steaks cooked to perfection, just the right size of appetizers and sides, and desserts to die for. We probably stayed longer than the usual dining parties but were never given an indication that the restaurant wanted to turn our table. An exceptional experience!!!"

  • "My family went to Del Frisco's to celebrate two birthdays. We were not disappointed! The service was the best we have received in years, and the food was outstanding. We all ordered off the Prime Pair menu - choice of 1 of 3 salads, and 8 oz filet with the choice of a crab cake, scallops, or shrimp, and the choice of a family style side (each person can order a different side) for $49 pp. That deal cannot be matched at any other steakhouse in Boston, and the food was phenomenal. They do a similar deal at lunch for around $24. If you want amazing food and outstanding service in a beautiful atmosphere without taking out a second mortgage, this is your place!"

  • "We sat on the balcony and while the food was good, service was slow and disorganized. We had to wait with empty dishes for nearly 20 minutes before we finally asked a different server for our check. After we paid our bill, an even different server asked us if we wanted something else to drink. Definitely not conducive to a "business lunch." Female servers are dressed in skirts barely covering and fishnets! That would be appropriate for a sports bar, not a restaurant of this caliber- not even for lunch. Service was definitely disappointing."

  • "Erick our waiter was outstanding, did a great job informing us and had a great personality. The Lamb Chops were outstanding, but my girl friend's filet mignon was not cooked to her liking, was a little disappointed. Other than that all was good night,"

  • "The fix menu was wonderful. The 8 oz filet was more than enough and was cooked perfectly. The Del's salad and the corn and spinach side dishes were so good. My only complaint was the noise level was extremely high and very uncomfortable for me."

  • "I ordered a filet medium and it came bloody red (do they know how to cook? ) Waiter told me to cut it and let it cook on the plate..really?? Steak was good but not like Morton's ( which is soft as butter) If you like cheesecake...don't get it. We didn't even eat it. The bread pudding was excellent. No reason to go back..."
