It was busy (even on a Monday!), yet despite the full house, the service was efficient and the staff appeared to actually be having fun. That energy is contagious. What a great night out. Casual dining atmosphere, yet upscale enough to have a great wine list and knowledgeable serving team. The food was well presented and the arrived in good time. Starter salad was refreshing, steak and vino were perfect. What a great way to start the week. We will be back. The online reservation was very easy to navigate."

  • "The food was delicious. I ordered comfort food -- spaghetti and meatballs-- and the pasta was made fresh in-house. The meatballs had the texture and taste of real meat, not the overly processed taste/feel you often find in this kind of dish. And the service was first rate. I am quite hard of hearing and I'd asked for a quiet table. They had reserved a banquette off to the side which was perfect for our party of four. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive, and the manager dropped by our table twice to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. It made for an excellent evening out with friends."

I found they were very good about my food allergies and were happy to make substitutions where needed. It was a great choice for my daughter's birthday supper."

  • "Too many times you eat at a restaurant and you wish the server would give you time between apps to enjoy the mood. Well, our last meal on Sat Feb 22nd at Del Dente was excellent in both the food and the service. Chris, our waiter, immediately spotted that we were out to enjoy our anniversary dinner and the meal was raised to a new level because of his excellent service. Management came by at the beginning of the meal and brought a small plate (complimentary) to share....Wow! The mussels were in a brilliant broth (sometimes these broths can be too salty but not here) that we enjoyed all on its own. Overall, the Charcoal Group delivered at Del Dente!!"

  • "My partner and myself decided to go to Del Dante for our date night. We had made a reservation through open table and when we arrived we were seated right way. Our first table was awful we mentioned that we would like to move and we were taken to a much better table. Our waitress was okay but after us saying we needed a couple minutes with the menu it was about 15 minutes before we saw her again. The food was to die for my partner had the Mac and cheese and I had the chicken tetrazzini both were absolutely delicious. The prices are fair and the free bread is wonderful! I would highly recommend del Dante for any occasion!"

  • "We were out with friends we haven't seen in a while so we wanted to have a nice night out. We don't get out often either as it's difficult with small kids. But they're older now and can be left alone, so we're starting to get our pre-children life back! Our server was Katie and she was delightful to say the least. She was very knowledgable of the menu and was able to answer my questions and make suggestions concerning dietary needs. She made it easy for me to decide. I ordered the veal Marsala with extra veg (no starch). Probably the best restaurant meal I've had in years! Thanks to all for making this a very enjoyable evening out with old friends!"

  • "This is my girlfriend and i's new spot for our wednesday date nights. Wednesdays are build your own pizza night and its great, nice thin crust pizza you can build with your choice of authentic italian topings like smoked provolone and arugula. The staff is great and very welcoming, their service is spot on always asking if they can do something else to make your night more enjoyable. I recommend the ceasar salad and mozzarella frico....we split these and a pizza and our bill is around 30$ before drinks which in my opinion for 3 courses of fresh and delicious food is a great price. I recommend this restaurant to everyone"

  • "Our daughter surprised us with a Valentine's Day reservation. Our visit was great: greeted from Happy pleasant women and gent at the reception desk; Amy our server was wonderful, prompt and really paying attention to my request for gluten free pasta, she even brought me some gluten free bread so I didn't have to eat the flower pot bread; Amy also knew the menu well for portion size and types of foods on the menu-- you may think this is basic but many servers do not know the menu; the manager who came over and greeted us and enquired how I liked the gluten free pasta which was a recent addition and told us about how all their pastas were homemade. I was VERY impressed. Well done! You should be proud!"

  • "My wife and I love going to this place! This is our favorite of all the charcoal group resteraunts because we love the food, atmosphere and the quality of service that you receive. Our last visit here was on valentines day. Every table in the resteraunt was full but the wait staff and the manager made you feel like you were the only one there. They were polite, accurate and fast. We were surprised that the manager came around to every guest and made sure they were comfortable, having a good time and they had everything they needed. The food was spectacular ad always, craft beer list-spot on. And the energy in the place is awesome! Eat here."

  • "First time here. Deanna our server was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about the various dishes and bar menu. We couldn't decide on a dish so we each got something and shared it. Deanna had them split the spaghetti and meatballs in the kitchen so we didn't have to. Loved that a lot of their food is from local producers thus lessening their carbon imprint. Manager stopped by and was great to chat to. We will definitely be back. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and service. Drinks, apps, entrée, dessert and coffee for two about $100 with taxes."

  • "We recently visited Kitchener for an informal company function. Due to the bad weather, lots of snow, high winds and road closures the dinner meeting was cancelled. As it was a Saturday night and we had a hotel booked, we decided to go anyway from Oakville. While at the hotel I used trip advisor etc to review area restaurants and was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant which was attached to the hotel got very good reviews. Anyway we made reservations and we very pleased with the friendly service and very good food. I even had a special request to add an egg to my pizza, just cracked and dropped into the centre and the did it no problem. They were actually very interested in this lol. Overall very satisfied :)."

  • "We didnt love the food. To be honest my favourite part about Del Dentes, is the flowerpot bread. We both ordered the chicken parm, it was dry, and the noodles were dry and what sauce was on was dry. For a 20 dollar piece of chicken, and a handful of noodles, that is just ridiculous, too over priced. It should have been the best chick parm ive ever had in my life for that cost, or at least i should have had nothing bad to say. My fiance felt the same way about the meal. He was not impressed with the meat at all. Its pretty sad that ive had a better chicken parm at Crabby Joes, which is pub grub which should hold no expectation. But The Charcoal Group - i expected amazing."

  • "Very frustrating experience with a table of 6 during a Saturday evening dinner - the noise level in the restaurant was so loud we couldn't talk to one another around the table without yelling what we were saying. We had to even have the server yell what she was saying. Great food though! Now looking for a new restaurant that combines good food with an environment in which we can actually have a conversation at normal decibel level."
