I loved the decor, the bar is small which is nice because you don't have a loud bar scene - this is not a sports bar kind of pick up spot, though you can find a decent seat at the bar to grab a meal + drink. You can hear yourself talk. The service was fast, yet it seems your food has been freshly prepared for your order. The description is Contemporary American, but the menu is more Contemporary Italian. Prices are not bad for this intimate, family, date, good food, neighborhood spot.

Made a reservation for group of 7 including 1 child. They were able to accomodate us easily. Our waitress was very sweet and tentative. Food was great. Ordered the calamari, meatballs and spinach artichoke dip with fresh baked focaccia. It was very good, especially the focaccia. It ended up to be too much bread but it was too good to stop. Had the sausageroni pizza and it was tasty for a meatlover. Although I might have overloaded on bread and ended up taking it home. Overall, food, service and ambiance was very good.

  • Dee's has a large following
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 6/17/2012
Dee's has a large following in the neighborhood, and the varied menu is the main reason; you can take anyone there of any age and they will find something on that menu they like, whether it's pizza or a burger or a salad or a pasta. One particular favorite in my family is the mini-calzone appretizer, which is truly something special, and large enough to share. However, the wines by the glass have been shrinking in size and increasing in price over the last few years, so your bill can go up very quickly as you have to order 2 glasses to get the usual quantity of 1 glass elsewhere. Also the quality of the wines by the glass has decreased dramatically. Nevertheless it is a decent default restaurant in this 'hood.

  • Dee's has an amazing menu.
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012

Dee's has an amazing menu. The pizza section alone has about 20 different pies to choose from. We decided on Dee's favorite, which was delicious. The crust was so good, but I have to say that the bottom of the pie got soggy pretty quickly. The flatbread might have been my favorite thing though. We decided to get the garlic flatbread which came piping hot out of the oven. It was crisp and fluffy at the same time, but so delicious. For our appetizer we had the coconut shrimp, which was sweet and crunchy. The dipping sauce that came with it was amazing too. When I made the reservations, I told them to embarass my boyfriend for my birthday, and after the waitresses sang to him, the manager came over to see if it was embarassing enough!

Talk about phoning it in! Pizza crusts were soggy, toppings were incredibly stingy (a few tattered pieces of shrimp for $3), and service was amateur hour. The price point is on the higher side for the neighborhood and I expect more. I had been a repeat customer, but after this experience, I'm not inclined to return anytime soon.

The food is always great at Dees! I usually have pizza and a salad but this time I tried the penne and chicken dish and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered a burger with mixed veggies and he was shocked at the quality of the burger (it was great!) The only down side of this past visit was th service. Our waitress disappeared after greeting us and then stood by the door way for another 10 minutes talking to other employees... Not impressed by her at all:

The food was better than expected, we were pleased with the wine (Montepulciano) and the waitress was friendly, accommodating and professional. We were a party of six and our only complaint about the service is that the entrees were not all served at once. Otherwise it was very good. We were also a little annoyed by the noise which made conversation a bit difficult. Perhaps a different location in the restaurant would have been quieter. All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had the mussels in garlic & wine sauce. Delicious. Then we did a half & half pizza (mediteranian & New England). Seafood on the new England was cooked so well and the artichokes on the Med. were soft and tasty. Had a slight fear they'd be overcooked & dry. Not the case. very happy with our overall experience.

We had the beet and artichoke salad and it was delicious. The Dee's special pizza had uncooked mushrooms which caused the crust to be soggy. It's a shame because the other toppings were very good. We had the same pizza a few years ago and had the same problem. Wake up and fix the problem already!!

Service was friendly and efficient. Focaccia and hummus was delicious. Pizzas were very disappointing - the Athena and a second with chicken and sun-dried tomato whose name I can't recall. Fresh mozz was rubbery and the eggplant on the Athena was unappetizing, oily yet undercooked. For the product they put out, overpriced. Won't be returning anytime in the near future, but glad I tried it.
